@SNIPE That part was on the EOL list for PaB parts and on clearance sale 50% off, so they won't restock that part ever. BL is your only hope. I too missed out on some Technic EOL parts that were 50% off in December, but the resellers quickly gulped up all the stock and now BL is full of them. Win-Win for TLG because they get money twice.

I had similar experiences, but I had not quite understood the explanation. Thanks for the this - it's good to know for the future!

Here's a better look at the new Technic part used in combination with those new gear rack plates we saw in the Education sets:

yeah I really want some Z beams but no axle holes, as there 1001 ways to mesh an axle to pinhole anyway, so all pinholes would be more useful, and 2L high instead of 3L

I Finially got new curved gear rack in hand.

And did some experiment for use monorail.

IMG_0685.jpgIMG_0686.jpg

This three combination is match rack gear with perfect backlash.

Left - Single 20t gear between two train wheel

Middle - Single 20t gear, two half bush, single round tile with hole between two reversed train wheel

Right - Single 16t gear between two 50951 tire with roller guard

IMG_0687.jpg

This two is work but both has bad backlash. Espically left one is very poor.

Left - Single 12t gear between two 80441 wheelchair wheel

Right - Single 8t gear between two 1L beam

IMG_0688.jpg

For maximum possible guide roller distance, If you use full thickness gear this is maximum.(By the way, 28t with that setup is work perfectly too.)

IMG_0689.jpg

Without gear, this is maximum possible distance.

Yeah, I hope we can make a better part than the holder/channel brick that pairs with the track. I tried but using mostly system pieces but it wouldn't have worked on the corner pieces.

I did use 4L gear racks to make shorter straight sections. They are half a plate higher than the monorail track pieces but the clutch es all  line up.

Otherwise we would have to lower the 4L gear strips by a half plate which is finicky.

I would rather just use a gear than meshes with both heights

technic parts should make it easier to build the gear holder + channel holder but allow it to work on corners (since studless technic is rounded).

By "channel" I mean the bits that are on both sides of the toothed section on the track.

The holder has to wrap around those edges

The new Lego city backhoe loader introduces brand new tractor tires. Yayyy:).

That tire already released on city 60498 in this year.

Ah no forget about that. It is actually new thin tractor tire.

I think wheel is new in DBG also.

Recolor of 14T Thick Gear 69762 in dark orange, new in the N1. I believe this will be used in the upcoming Koenigsegg Hypercar.

Also notice a new type of bushes/wheels on the bottom of the engine.

Nice find! I think those are 8mm wheels with a pin hole instead of blocked axle hole. Interestingly there are also 4x Skyline GT-R wheel covers included in this set too.

Wow, hopefully with pinhole so that we'll have a small idler pulley.

Wow, that's a big news! Any more info on this bike? I couldn't find anything about it.

Edit: ok, found it. 11380 Road Bike

Wow, dang! When I saw that mentioned in a different thread I was hoping it would finally be the 48T gear, but that looks far bigger! Definitely cool that it exists, since more gears are always good! I'm not sure how many uses I'll find for it though

On one hand, Lego finally makes a bicycle woohoo.

On the other hand, how is a simple unlicensed bicycle an "Icon"? What's next, a toaster as an Icon set?

Also, why is that bike not a Technic set...

Notice the top part of the bottle is a new color or shape of the shift drum piece, that will probably come in the 1:8 scale car later this year. The huge wheels and spokes are also new.

It's a pity they didn't make this Technic based Ideas bike, but rather depict a rich kids model without any interesting functions in the most boring Icons theme for adult display junk.

This tire really looks like it's built from separate parts, not a one-piece rubber tire?

But at least this way we get new giant gear and wheels to MOC with. That alone makes me happy about the set.

Those are probably just mold lines you see on the grey ABS part. It's most definitely a 2 component part with a huge rubber tire with the same pattern as motorcycle tires have. I could imagine that it's 2K molded similar to the Vespa tires.

Well, I'll certainly have many uses for this in clocks. If I counted properly, it has 64 teeth, making easy 1:8 and 1:4 gear ratios possible. Please make 32t gear next XD
