MINI Gladiator Star Destroyer & Broadside Cruiser

Today I'd like to present two lesser known ships of the Imperial Navy to you. Both ships from the Expanded Universe have the same length and a similar ground design.
Let's start with the small Gladiator-class Star Destroyer (click here for a referene image). These ships were used as escorts in the Old Republic and later as long range patrol ship in the Imperial Navy. Some of you may remember the ship from the animated Drods TV series where we learn about the "Demolisher". These ships were probably the smallest ships given the description "Star Destroyer". It has a wedge shape like the real Star Destroyer but with a large cut-out on the front which is the entrance to a huge hangar bay.
The second ship for today is the Imperial Broadside-class Cruiser (click here for a reference image). This is a typical ship invented for computer games. It's a quite simple and not very exciting design. It appears in the "Empire at War" game series. There's one interesting aspect however: three centered cannons. That's an aspect not easy to realize when you have only two studs in width. Fortunately a SNOT-technique helped out.
That's all for today!
Thank you for your time and interest!
See you around,

I am aware that such EU models are not among the most popular, and hence I will try to find those of the movies which are still missing in the colllection.
