  1. It may seem like exactly the same idea as my previous entry, but it's actually bigger and better. Totally different! Honest. The Last Xmas Star Awakens IX by Praiter Yed, on Flickr Thanks to CopMike for hosting the raffle again.
  2. What was the last movie you watched?

Blade Runner 2049 - Don't be put off by the long run time! It's a worthy sequel (although you don't need to watch the original to enjoy it), visually stunning & never boring. Unlike The Lego Ninjago Movie which was utterly tedious.
  3. UK Sales

www.jadlamracingmodels.com has 20% off all Lego until Friday 9th June if you use the code LEGO20 on checkout. I've noticed that some of their Lego is overpriced but I've scored some bargains from them in the past so might be worth a look.
  4. contest Braaiiinnss!!! Sci-Fi Contest

Congratulations to the winners! And thanks for the contest.
  5. Attempting to build Moisture Vaporator

I'm still lurking here but rarely participating. It's really nice to hear that you like my moisture evaporator , I was pleased with it myself and therefore it's managed to stay intact until now... When I first saw Star Wars, more than the 'Starship Custodian' (as I thought Leia's ship was called) or a giant Imperial Star Destroyer, Moisture Vaporator's were an introduction to a truly alien world. A desert was familiar but not a desert with these weird random rocket like structures dotted about, so it's never JUST a vaporator. I can't wait to see what you come up with, check out some reference images, there's lots of different versions of vaporator's and don't worry about scale, some are massive!

  7. [Brains] Cat D : Zombie Troupe

This Pantomime Troupe are literally dying on stage! But everybody loves a dame so the show must go on... Look out! They're behind you!!!
  8. EB Xmas Raffle 2016 - Your ideal Snow entry thread

My Prize D arrived at the weekend - I can't say thank you enough! I'd resigned myself to the fact that I'd never own these figs due to the high price and that I prioritise collecting Star Wars. I really couldn't wish for a better prize. Thank you, thank you, thank you CopMike.
  9. EB Xmas Raffle 2016 - Your ideal Snow entry thread

Yes! Keeping up my tradition of biennial wins. Thanks CopMike! BTW Huge manatee D is my least favourite manatee, if anyone wants to trade, contact me. Or is there a manatee trading topic already up?
  10. EB Xmas Raffle 2016 - Your ideal Snow entry thread

I wanted to make an epic Antarctic vista in microscale, based on a scene from The Thing (1982). However, my son had other ideas. Instead we have a scene from the little known sequel: Albino Kong Vs The Thing (1985)... Thanks to CopMike for hosting this again.
  11. [MOC] Luke's Landspeeder

FIVE YEAR BUMP! I've reverted to being an occasional lurker rather than an active member and for that reason bumping this topic seems slightly rude. However, this was one of my earliest MOCs which started life in the LDD forum around 2010 - Eurobricks feels like its spiritual home. It's interesting (for me at least) to look back on the first brick-built version, at the time I thought it was ace but now it just looks bad - perhaps I'll think the same of this updated version in 5 years time... Luke's Landspeeder on flickr Comments and criticism welcomed in varying degrees, lurkers also welcome.
