Migalart Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Avatar - Hallelujah Mountains Main idea of this project was to create flying mountains that support only on waterfalls. emilstorm Posted May 23, 2014 That lloks quite amazing! the water effects are really good and all the different kinds of plants work very well. I think the floating rocks work perfectly, the ground ones are maybe a little too flat in their shape, but I guess that's a matter of taste. Overall quite spectacular
Cecilie Posted May 23, 2014 That is most impressive. I've tried something similar, but I used trans clear technic beams for the waterfall. I think your waterfalls look better than mine though, but I suspect your floating islands are smaller and lighter . Awesome work! The whole dio looks epic

emilstorm Posted May 23, 2014 I just had a second look and noticed the palm tree trunk posing as a root, that's brilliant! I really like your plants in general
Lady K Posted May 23, 2014 This is awesome! Each modular looks like a whole MOC by itself! Then all put together creates a very beautiful scene! The water is great. The plant varieties are fantastic. I like your rock work as well. Still working on trying to get the right shape for a rock arch myself.
Godtshep Posted May 23, 2014 Beautiful MOC! I love the rockwork!

I think you've done great work creating an illusion of depth on your islands. I thought they were much bigger at first, and was puzzled at how they held up like they did, given how much trouble I had with it!
Lady K Posted May 23, 2014 How are you keeping those vines(flashing from three leaf plant) in place? They really look great.
monsinjor Posted May 23, 2014 Impressive... My jaw dropped down, seriously.
TheLegoDr Posted May 24, 2014 Very cool! I like how it is modular, and that makes a lot of sense actually about being able to store it and move it. I may have to rethink some of my larger MOCs and make them modular as well. The flora looks great, as does the rockwork. I hadn't seen these mountains before. Is this Avatar the animated show or the one with those blue creatures? I will admit I haven't seen the animated show and I saw the live action show once whenever it came out, so I'm not really familiar with either. Either way, the source material is unneeded when you create something beautiful like this.

TheLegoDr Posted May 26, 2014 ^Thanks for sharing that! That looks really interesting. You did an amazing job capturing that in LEGO form. I almost want to go watch that movie again...almost.
Csacsa234 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Just saw this MOC, it it truly beautiful I like how you've done the fog on the pictures, it captures the felling of the scene very well. The flora & fauna are amazingly detailed, and the minicopters are very nicely built. This is a masterpiece, congratulations Migalart! Seltz Posted July 15, 2014 I honestly hated the movie, but your build is impressive to say the least. The foliage and felled trees are very well done.
