General Armendariz Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) So after many test models this looks like the final Higgins boat model! Now I just need to make 7 more... It holds twelve soldiers with three sailors for crew. They seem a little too happy... the gunners side A nice slanted back. Side shot C&C welcome Enjoy. Capt. Stabbin Posted May 20, 2010 Looks great! I can't wait so see the finished diorama. I'm sure it's going to be a noble tribute to brave men who fought on those beaches. Here's to the greatest generation!
Captain Genaro Posted May 21, 2010 Nice landing craft. I really like the guns on the back. They look simple (at a closer look) yet impresive. Keep up the great work.
Admiral Croissant Posted May 21, 2010 I would only make add some tiles to the studs on top of it, for the rest it's a great MOC. Good job! I like the gunners!
lightningtiger Posted May 21, 2010 EXCELLENT MOC 'General Armendariz' - simple yet effective design - can't wait to see the rest when they are finished ! I'm a conformist! !

General Redwater Posted May 21, 2010 Great work! Definitely too happy. Should be more I agree, there should be more seasickness, and less happines. Overall great. - General Redwater
Joey Lock Posted May 21, 2010 Very nice! I found a awesomely awesome set made by Cobi, Its a LCU, "Landing Craft Utility". I must say, Brilliant quality, if not better than Lego's. Its perfect for your D-day Diorama, I'd look out for them. Link to the Webpage I have bought the Willys Jeep already, it's awesome, but not to scale, its quite large. NewRight Posted May 22, 2010 The landing craft looks really nice. Maybe some SNOT to clean it up though. It seems a little messy right now for my taste.

But when it comes to having to build 8 of these I like to keep them simple but I may experiment sometime soon
BrickPerfection Posted May 24, 2010 You could also just tile away those nasty studs! I generally don't like studs showing up, but with these beautiful minifigs, they look even worse! So yeah, just a few tiles and it will be fine IMO! Keep it up, it's an amazing (and huge) project!
