HMS Certitude A 26 gun 4th-rate ship of the line form around 1780 to 1840 which is loosely based on the Ardent-class ships and had the magnificent 10210 Imperial Flagship as its starting point. Regarding her size, of course, compromises had to be made - in terms of true-to-original scale or certain shipbuilding features. Nevertheless, I wanted to build her - especially for the sake of my children - suitable for minifigures. In this respect, I am always keen on finding the right mix of playability, a certain robustness and at the same time an appearance that is as realistic as possible. And I think overall it works quite well. Also, my parts selection is limited and I had to use what was there. So you could consider it as a compromise between the three poles of "appearance", "playability" and "available bricks“. Of course, one or the other situation could have been solved better with different, more special parts, but it is how it is now. The sails are made of polyester cloth, making them fairly durable (and easily washable). A friend of mine owns a laser cutter, which sealed the edges and eyelets perfectly. I’m dreaming of UV-printing those sails someday, but right now it’s not worth the cost. I omitted the mizzen staysails due to lack of space. Functions: All cannons are functional The lid to the captain's cabin can be removed The big grilles on the upper deck can be flipped open to get a view on the capstan The quarterdeck can be removed separately The forecastle can be removed separately The middle deck can be removed separately The capstan can be rotated and the anchor set or weighed All yards, gaff and main boom can be set relatively accurately A small list of sins I knowingly committed: I used bricks from many manufacturers as the bricks in my sorting boxes are completely mixed up. I cut/shortened some rigging-parts by one segment. I surely used countless illegal building techniques and put some stress on one or the other brick. Great Pirate Treasure - 49 Pieces Jack and John, also known as the Pirate-Brothers, take loving care of their ever-growing treasure. Especially the golden frogs and goblets are regularly polished to a high gloss. Her greatest treasure is her father's hat, he was a great pirate captain. Here we see the two after they've just poured another batch of treasures out of their chest. In the near future they will need a bigger cave. Her parrot James is her faithful companion, he loves the treasure too. He likes the golden chicken the most, that's why John and Jack will never sell it. This photo shows the newer Version (20.08.2023) after creating a cleaner look. Jack and John are very happy: more space for more treasures :-) This was the first version. Thanks for advice. 49 pieces. I used 2 older minifigs and new and old parts from my stuff. The Chest is empty.

My contest entry is a remake of the 6279 Skull Island in the style of Barracuda Bay, and El Dorado Fortress. This set has 652 parts, and 8 minifigures, compared to the original set’s 350 parts and 6 minifigures. The main focal point of the “Skull” Island is the skull itself, I had many iterations until I settled on the current design. I wanted to keep it simple, to update the design as well as keeping it close to the original as well. It can also turn, allowing row boats entry into the island. I wanted more of the “mountainous” aspect of the island so I brick built them rather than using big ugly rock pieces like the original. I also added an extra beach along the right side of the build and another palm tree, as I felt the original felt a bit empty. Inspired by the original set, I have re-imagined the side wall of the island where two muskets can be found hidden among some palm leaves and vines! I really liked this play feature in the original, and it is my favorite part of the build! Opposite of the muskets, sits the treasure for safe keeping. Along the dock are various boxes and supplies for the pirates, as well as cannons This time around, they are built on modern turntables, keeping to similar to the original. I feel it makes the island more imposing. I added an extra cannon to the top of the pier, as I wanted to add more firepower! I added stairs in this remake, as I always wondered how they brought supplies up and down from the top of the balcony by ladder? A crane and chain bring up the heaviest of boxes to the top with ease! I also added a more enclosed captain’s quarter with a door. In the shallows of the island are two rowboats, one pirate crewman bringing in the latest plunder back to the island, as well as the Imperial Guard. The roof of the captain's quarters can be removed as a play feature, and can allow access inside. The original Skull Island did not have this feature, instead had large arches for ease of access, but for my remake I wanted to be able to have a more realistic style building, without sacrificing upon playability and looks. I have designed the railings where it matches perfectly with the stairs!* I recreated the original pirate minifigures to more updated styles, as well as one I designed. I also added an extra imperial guard to the entourage, as I feel the officer would want some extra muscle. I’ve never really made an MOC like this before, so I am very pleased with how it turned out! I was so inspired by so many other contest entries, it made me want to throw my hat into the ring too! Hi there! Phew, the Caribbean Brig closely made it in time into port to enter the contest! (for category New LEGO Pirate set from the 90s era) Although the hourglas on the webpage seems broken, my Kalender still states 25th august so the deadline should not be closed! I present you the Carribbean Brig: (the ship I saw in the official caribbean clipper, though it was way to small to be the flagship of Gov. Broadside!) UPDATE (for full Infos see my latest comment) Old Topic Entry: It is a fully square rigged brig, proudly sailing the seven seas in search for Captain Redbeard. It is equipped with 3 Cannons on the main deck. Two of them are the feared royal cannons (in blue). The lower deck is fully equipped with 6 cannons, 3 for each side. The stern has 2 cannons as well, which can be swiveled. When you remove the last bit of the handrail, these cannons can rotato fully to the sides, but I would let this modification to the kids themeselfes, as I did when I was young. I am a bit late to the contest, so there is not much time for criticism and changing something, but I created some slighly different sterns with 1 or two flextubes. (Please give some feedback, even when the contest deadline has passed, it is always interesting!) The maindeck is removable and the sides of the cabin can be opened: This gives a better look in the cabin, as well: The figurehead is a small dragon: The anchor and the crane have working winches for play. Adventure awaits at the Sailor's Hideout! Based loosely on Classic Pirates set 6258 Smuggler's Shanty, this is a new set using similar building techniques introduced in the updated 10320 Eldorado Fortress. Designed as a set that will be completed (including instructions and box) in physical bricks for a birthday present for my nephew, the building techniques are very sturdy and fairly basic in the style of an official LEGO set. Set includes 2 sailor minifigures, a monkey, a shark, a parrot, and a crab. Watch out for the mischievous monkey and the pesky shark! Use the fishing pole to catch fish and hang them to dry on the shack roof beams. Take a nap in the shack on the rug made from an old sail. Island Front: Island Rear: Dig up the buried treasure under the campfire: Sail the dory up to the pier: Dory (sails are new parts and will be made custom for the physical build; probably with color stripes but I could not get the image to apply properly in Stud.io part designer): Full album of images on Flickr ...and I forgot the string for the fishing pole before rendering the images! There will be one included in the physical build and one would be included in the theoretical set. I should mention that some of the design decisions for the dory are based on discussions about @Marooned Marin's design for Sloop Windy. Credit to Marooned Marin for the spar attachment to the mast, and this is not a mini set entry so it will not compete against Sloop Windy in the contest. No design stealing/infringement is intended. Hi again, here is my second take on the 90s bluecoats, as entry for the pirate contest. In my opinion the Eldorado Fortress lacks in defence so I thought they should add a bastion on a close Island to defend the Fortress to Pirates and even the Redcoat Fleet or the Imperial Fleet. So present to you the Eldorado Bastion: The bastion is heavily armed withe 3 static and 2 rotating cannons on towers. I used the famous baseplate but I wanted to break the rectangular shape wit the pier and the towers. The Bastion can hold amunition in its center and has some supplies, ready to load on the Caribbean Brig on the ramp and dock. The admiral and frech soldiers are waiting for the arrival of Governor Broadside. A small crane is ready load the cargo. Here I added some shots with both sets combined (Eldorado Bastion + Caribbean Brig): There are some more pictures in the Flickr-Album. Everybody shoud think twice if he sails close to the Bastion and the Caribbean Brig! I hope you like my very classic take on these two contest entrys, here you can find Caribbean Brig. Hi rowers! In mind of the small "rowboat" sets, like 6245, I build an entry for the Mini Set category: Purple Privates - feared by all pirates I made three rowboats, so let me know which is your favourite, i will pick the best tomorrow evening as the official entry. Here we have private O. and his first mate Scar. Both in a rowboat with purple benches and rapier. As the contest only allows 50pcs, the forthcoming rowboats can be interpretet as an eytra, to show what can be possible with the colour scheme: The next ones are monsieur C. and Dante - the duck. The duck is one of the best rowers on the seven seas and due to constant rowing wearing no uniform, so the water can cool him and a thick layer of salt protects him froim the sun (and also showing off his epic duck tattoo!). I even created their own purple flag (normally I never make custom prints besides sails)! Last but not least, there is private C. - the cook. Besides his fast shooting skills, he is a magnificent cook and knows how to infiltrate every fortress through the kitchens cellars. Here I have some pics with the full fleet. I think there could be a complete new fraction based on this colour scheme. If you like them, most of the parts are currently available at PAB online. Probably the three privates with rapiers will make a nice group of three purple musketeers, too! I hope you like purple, pink and orange soldiers as well!

This idea for a shipwreck has been with me for long years, only to be realized because of this contest. My main goal was to present a wreck modified into a cabin-like living space. He's been stuck there for a bit now, and will have to wait for the rescue still. Therefore once the main structure was done, I focused on adding things ensuring his survival. A barrel of water, a jolly roger for visibility's sake, a lantern just in case. (I've included a bottle of rum which played a big part in him landing there in the first place) The gun will be used to signal, but until then it will serve to reinforce the side of the build. Unless he needs to defend himself. The backside of the wreck, admittedly a large number of pieces went into it, but it just didn't feel right without. The other side, I used the same fence piece and the same 1x6 plate for consistency's sake. The bowsprit's placement was a bit of a headache. Lastly a closeup. Once I placed the mustache on him, I knew it had to stay on. Originally I built it in LDD, he had a different face with the eye patch on the other eye. It gave me a laugh so I left the telescope as is. Signed up for this contest because the piece count limit sounded challenging, and a challenge it was. Didn't even reach the halfway point before I realized this build would need at least 70 pieces. Keeping it at 50 was a constant uphill battle, I had to make very hard decisions. Took weeks of fine tuning. There's a silver lining here, thanks to the low piece count, it's compressed to the point it feels authentic. it's also one my sturdiest moc yet. probably. I have extensive builder notes, LDD and Stud.io files, models of previous versions and even a bad ms paint concept art if you'd like some more insight. I plan to extend this tiny island in the future with two more 50 piece/moc structures to expand the story.

Pirates Mini Set MOC: 6300 Treasure Found (v2) The Pirate Captain seems to have been very successful in finding the treasure. It appears he has made good use of it since then. The monkey is also up to no good. Maybe innocent mischief or is it seeing his chance of breaking free from his master?! I'm quite sure TLG wouldn't allow any rogue designer to put this set on the market. Nevertheless it would have been a nice little set I think. Parts: 33 I'm not sure if if would fitter better in the 'new' era. A lot of parts used did not exist in my childhood years when I had most of the small sets, but it could also fit in style back then I think. The lid of the barrel and monkey are currently non-existing / recolored items (Dark Brown). All the other parts do exist already in the particular color etc. Note: the studio file can be found here. Hello! I entered the competition to make a remake of the 1889 Lego Pirates set. Hidden in a small cave in the rock is a treasure chest full of diamonds, covered by a door made of vegetation. But just in case someone does find the treasure, a small gold bar has been hidden away as an emergency stash. More pictures on my insta account, because it simply won't allow more. MyFirstMOC Insta

Hello! I thought again about set 6279. It was one of the first islands where pirates used to keep their assembled treasures. It got its name from the skull carved into the rock (and painted white for some mysterious reason). They are in a fever over a small boat that has gone astray, even the captain stumbles out of his abode, albeit in a slightly illuminated state. There are two cavern "doors" leading into the rock, and the skull itself can be removed for playability. The set is modular and the roof of the building is removable, and the rest of the residence can be removed in two sections to reach into the cave from above. 3 cannons protect the island. True, these are not big cannons, but they can be effective enough. Some may notice that only yellow flowers cover the island, where there are flowers. There is a very simple reason for this. Yellow is the captain's favourite colour, and he has systematically wiped out all the other colours of flowers, leaving only the yellow ones. In addition to the treasures, a skeleton of a man who was once one of the captain's men is hanging at the front of the cave. But unfortunately he got greedy and encouraged his companions to mutiny. The captain quickly put an end to this mutiny and had this man executed and hanged. Since then, no one has attempted such a thing. You can also go to the top of the cliff where the only woman is currently standing. She's the one spying through the telescope at sea for the enemy. Hello! I'm running out of sets (especially since there's more than one that someone else has already made and I don't think I could create a better one) that I'd like to revisit, but this one is still here. And this is the 6246 Crocodile Cage remake. I increased the set dimensions a bit to get the detail I had in my head. I added one more native, because I think there's plenty of room for it in this area. The top of the set is modular and there are also some movable parts, like the rock that hides a golden trophy or the secret door at the back of the cave. In the cave are the skeletons of a couple of stranded pirates and the skulls of two natives who died in battle. Instagram Flickr

Hello! This is a redesigned version of the 6259 set, with a more modern look. In addition to the two soldiers, the set also features a captured pirate. We thought we'd show off our Custom Imperial Armada army which we made for a stop motion series. Since the armada soldiers are quite expensive currently, we decided to just buy the helmets as well as the viking torso from lego online pick a brick, paired with black legs and random faces. There are 6 riflemen, 3 pikemen (one off screen) as well as 2 officers and Don Diego De Lego The riflemen have satchels as well as muskets The pikemen have spears with axe blades clipped on The officers have shortswords and Don Diego De Lego has a basic cutlass Overall, we're happy with the look of the soldiers, especially since they are not so colourful

For my entry iv decided to remake the classic broadsides brig with renegades raft added play feature. The reason the raft was added was part of a story build / play feature, and the build was made to be modular to fit into the current Eldorado modular style. Module 1 is the prison cell itself. Module 2 is the middle dock section. And finally module 3 is Captainess Broadsides room with tea set and medals. And finally the bridge that connects both sections. The raft is a simple affair mimicking the original. The minifigures are as close to original styling as possible, however I like the idea that times moved on, with governor Broadsides daughter as a captain in his forces, and eagle eyed people may notice the renegade is now captain Krag! The story of the build and play feature are as follows! The guard is bored of his duties, and decides to take his eyes off the Wiley pirates and enjoy a little grog and a some fishing, while the captive pirate realised the cell has been left unlocked! Following this, the renegade takes his chance and shoots the base of the palm tree; With the quick removal of a pin, the palm falls and the captive takes his chance and runs while everyone is distracted! Getting aboard the raft and leaving! The captain attempts the shot but she misses, allowing the pirates to escape another day! Hello! This time I reworked the 6254 Rocky Reef set for the Classic Pirates tournament. There are two pirates and a skeleton in the set. The island and the cave were once inhabited by natives, but the pirates felt it would be a great island to hide their treasure and took over the place. The only traces of the ancient inhabitants are the small totem detail left at the back of the cave and the skeleton in the cave. Of course, what pirates would they be if they didn't have a little place to hide an emerald right now. The roof of the cave can also be removed for playability, and there is a small jetty on the island, if you bring supplies for the two pirates by boat, you can untie it. Instagram Flickr

[ENTRY] Ahoy Seafarers, This is my entry into the Return of the Classic Pirates Contest, the Pirate Gun Cart Revisited (I listened to feedback and this is version 2) I have updated the old pirate accessory pack set#1970 the "pirate gun cart" for 2023 by adding more firepower, and redesigning the gun cart to look more like a organ gun or ribauldequin. I opted not to enlarge the size of the cart as organ guns were meant to be moved by 1-2 people. Instead I focused on firepower, and now the gun cart has 5 barrels instead of 3 occupying the same 4 stud wide profile. I changed the colors around from the original to better match a organ gun. In addition to the updates to the cart I have added some plates to be a sandbar for the pirate crew to fire from. One of the best things about the classic Pirates I sets was they were small and affordable. This meant that not just parents but also kids could buy them. The many different small sets could be combined to make larger scenes. The changes I have made to the pirate gun cart have increased the part count from the original (23 parts and 2 minifigures) to now 33 parts and 2 minifigures. This is still small enough that it would be a great affordable little set if LEGO decides to release a entire Pirate theme again. Ahoy! On a base of 16 x 42 studs, the LEGO pirates return - and so do their arch-enemies, the Imperial soldiers. I built this homage to the LEGO classic for Rogue Bricks' annual challenge.

It represents the house/laboratory from which the blue jackets are supplied for the fabrics and accessories for their uniforms. On the ground floor there is the leather workshop, where the merchant shears one of his sheep among rolls of fabric, trunks of wool and various dyes, and the wife offers travelers the products of their work...comfortable leather backpacks and shoulder bags for soldiers, as well as various accessories for grooming the beasts and decorating the jackets. Upstairs is the spartan house, small but complete, with a large bed, table and fireplace for warming up and cooking. The house is also equipped with a "recessum", so as not to have to go out in the cold when the body calls, sheepfold and chicken coop. And watch out for the kitten who enjoys ambushing the little animals wandering around on the roof...

THE ADMIRAL'S HOUSE This LEGO set is a 14th century house located in an archipelago. The Admiral, a former pirate, hides his treasures in this house which is built on a solid rock foundation. It is designed as a play-and-display set. My love for the pirate theme dates back to my very first LEGO set, Sea Mates (6252). After rekindling many fond memories thanks to the Pirates of the Barracuda Bay (21322), it was clear to me that the Imperials deserved their own comeback. Clearly I wasn’t the only one with the idea but luckily I imagined something to expand on the original theme and this is why I believe the Admiral's house would make a fantastic addition to any pirate layout. When you gaze at it, you can imagine being on the island, surrounded by palm trees, engaging in activities like fishing as a merchant or admiring the boundless ocean from the balcony like an Admiral. It was supposed to be my first ideas project but as it was built with +5000 pieces unfortunately it was rejected.

Hello! Now I'm thinking again about the 1492 Battle Cove set. The garrison that once had its better days is now in total ruins. Two pirates were originally on duty on the small island, but one stole a gold bar from a hidden treasure chest and quickly hid it before his partner shot him. [MOC] The Black Pearl - 20th Anniversary - FINISHED 2-page

And so, I give you another Black Pearl MOC! In my defence, I never really wanted to do the Black Pearl, seeing as there is no shortage of Pearls inside this forum and elsewhere, but I didn’t have a choice, they forced me to do it! But who could do such a horrible thing to a humble MOC designer? Well how about two persistent, annoying but all the while lovable nephews who just happen to be in love with the Pirates-theme? That’s who! And now, the digital renders of the forced work so far. ABOUT THE DESIGN As many designers before me, I tried to mimic the real Pearl as much as possible, with deliberate exception of the main deck length. Here I decided to make a big step away from the original because: 1) The distance between the masts looks too wide for my taste and thus I feel the overall ship looks slightly out of proportion. In movies this is hardly noticeable, as our eyes are fixed on the constant action frame after frame... but during the design phase, this issue readily pops up like a Jack-Sparrow-in-the-Box. Here is a broadside comparison against the artwork of the real Pearl, made for Disney by concept artist Jeremy Love. 2) Shorter mid-section ensures that the overall size of the ship is still within ‘playable category’ – meaning my 10year old nephew can still pick and carry the darn thing, and make swooshy sounds. I think that’s a good measure to have, if you are a ship designer and you are aiming to build semi-playable ships. Here is a size comparison with the new Black Seas Barracuda, which most of you probably have. ARMAMENT The Black Pearl carries 22 cannons: 12 on the gun deck and 10 on the upper deck. Its full broadside contains 11 cannonballs. Like the original, the Pearl has no chase guns in her bow or stern, which gives her a tactical disadvantage, while her high speed only partially negates this handicap. To maximise playability, and allow easy access to the gun deck, large section of the upper deck can be easily removed. More of the same applies for inclined quarterdeck, under which we find Captain Barbossa drooling over some 16th century Apple products. INFLUENCE & INSPIRATION Here I want to highlight two Pearl designs which had a big influence on me during this project: Black Pearl by @-DoNe- , and Black Pearl Project by @papacharly. Both are terrific designs and light-years better than clunky hideous official LEGO Pearl (if I dare to mention that shipbuilding blunder of the decade... whoops, I guess I just did). Thank you both for sharing your work inside the forum. THE REAL BUILD Digital design phase is for now finished, but I consider this still as [WorkInProgress] until I make the obligatory exciting test-build with real bricks. The total piece-count without minifigures is 3020, and going through my brick storage I managed to gather ~1600 usable parts. Now all that remains is to find and obtain the rest of the parts, test the cursed thing and show it to the world. I hope it will be ready for release by July/August of 2023, just in time to celebrate 20th anniversary of the POTC: The Curse of the Black Pearl. -
Ahoy seafarers, Introducing Pajaro Island Fort, my latest MOC submission to the Bricklink Designer Program Series 2. A great potential rival Naval power to compete with the Imperial soldiers in the recently released Eldorado Fortress set. Pajaro Island Fort, is a rocky tropical island, that is home to a small naval fort which guards the coast from pirates. The island is named after the birds which stop for rest during their annual migrations. The island is also home to the yellow tavern which provides food and fresh water to visitors. The white and red brick fort is 4 stories tall and protected by 3 canons. It contains a small garrison of 4 navy sailors, and 1 pirate prisoner in the dungeon. The yellow tavern has a basement storehouse with provisions of food for the islands inhabitants, and visitors. The cook is known for her fresh bread. In the center of the island shaded by the palm tree is the cistern which holds fresh water. On the pier is a small wooden crane for transferring supplies from passing ships. The pier is the favorite spot of the cook's husband who likes to sit and catch fish. I designed this set to be modular and all interior sections are accessible for play. There is a total of 2011 parts, including 7 minifigures, 3 canons, 3 birds, 1 fish, 1 crab, and 1 rat. Un racconto “piratesco” PARTE 2: IL SERPENTE Intanto nei mari più a Nord una sagoma possente baluginava all'orizzonte sotto i raggi del Sole. Scintillii dorati ed una grande sagoma bianca e rossa si affioravano tra le onde. Armato di cannocchiale, al nostromo di un piccolo brigantino con il Jolly Roger in cima all'albero maestro, sembrò di scorgere un serpente marino dalla testa rossa e le spire bicrome solcare i flutti lontani. Un attimo, e il pirata vide appena sopra la testa del serpente un lampo e uno sbuffo di fumo seguiti da un sibilo... poco dopo un colpo di mortaio li mancò di poche spanne. All'istante il brigantino invertì la rotta ed intraprese la fuga. Quel manipolo di pirati fu il primo a scorgere "Tiamat", la nuovissima ammi raglia delle giubbe blu, pronta a portare il caos nelle acque infestate dai pirati. Nell'antica mitologia babilonese Tiamat era la madre di tutto il cosmo, la dea primordiale degli oceani e delle acque salate. Raffigurata come un serpente marino o un drago, era il simbolo e l'incarnazione del caos primordiale. Il governatore, grande studioso delle civiltà antiche, scelse questo nome per l'imbarcazione di punta della sua flotta, un nome che avrebbe dovuto incutere terrore e rispetto in chiunque pensasse (malauguratamente) di ingaggiare un duello con il veliero. Tre possenti alberi e 12 vele ingabbiavano i venti che spingevano il vascello, dotato di grande agilità e velocità nonostante la mole dello scafo. Armato di tutto punto da prua a poppa, con cannoni, mortai e bombarde pronte ad affondare quei maledetti filibustieri che insozzavano le acque caraibiche. Pur essendo una nave progettata per dar battaglia, il governatore pretese che fosse anche riccamente decorata, e quindi il vascello era un fiorire di ornamenti dorati ad intervallare la bicromia rossa e bianca dello scafo. Finalmente pronta al varo la Tiamat fu “benedetta” dal re in persona, ed appena la sua chiglia tocco le acque l'esperto capitano fece rotta verso i caraibi per saggiare la potenza di fuoco dell'ammiraglia e dare un avvertimento chiaro ai filibustieri: niente sarà più come prima, nessuna pirateria sarà facile, tutti saranno puniti dalla dea babilonese… A "pirate" tale PART 2: THE SERPENT Meanwhile, in the seas further north, a mighty shape glimmered on the horizon under the rays of the sun. Golden sparkles and a large white and red shape emerged from the waves. Armed with a telescope, the boatswain of a small brig with the Jolly Roger at the top of the main mast thought he saw a sea serpent with a red head and dichromatic coils furrowing the distant waves. A moment, and the pirate saw just above the snake's head a flash and a puff of smoke followed by a hiss... shortly after a mortar round missed them by a few hands. Instantly the brig reversed course and began to flee. That handful of pirates were the first to see 'Tiamat', the newest flagship of the Bluecoats, ready to wreak havoc on the pirate-infested waters. In ancient Babylonian mythology Tiamat was the mother of all cosmos, the primordial goddess of the oceans and salt waters. Depicted as a sea serpent or a dragon, she was the symbol and embodiment of primordial chaos. The governor, a great scholar of ancient civilizations, chose this name for the flagship of his fleet, a name that should have instilled terror and respect in anyone thinking (unfortunately) of engaging in a duel with the sailing ship. Three mighty masts and 12 sails caged the winds that pushed the vessel, endowed with great agility and speed despite the bulk of the hull. Fully armed from bow to stern, with cannons, mortars and bombards ready to sink those accursed freebooters who littered the Caribbean waters. Despite being a ship designed to do battle, the governor demanded that it was also richly decorated, and therefore the vessel was a flourishing of golden ornaments interspersed with the red and white duotone of the hull. Finally ready to launch, the Tiamat was "blessed" by the king himself, and as soon as her keel touched the waters, the expert captain set sail for the Caribbean to test the firepower of the flagship and give a clear warning to the buccaneers: nothing it will be more like before, no piracy will be easy, everyone will be punished by the Babylonian goddess…
