Things were going well for King Fernando.

His dog had stayed true to him.

Plus the coins that he found in his crown every night enabled him to keep up a decent level of booze-induced indifference every day.

People passing by kept wondering about that strange drunken impersonator...

This is an entry for the the "The King's Demise" challenge - Category I: King Fernando’s Reaction

(And I need to mention that I used orange, dark orange, dark red, olive green and purple - otherwise this might have been a nice vignette :pir-cry_sad:)

Hey! :pir-laugh:

I actually think that the orange and dark flesh are an intriguing combination... someone should really explore that!
Poor King Fernando, he's really getting a bad rap these days!

Well, we are having our colour-discussions again, aren't we? :pir-laugh:

And the King certainly has a bad rap-utation ...:pir_laugh2:

Nice way to use the required colours.  That bit of medium lavender adds a hint of brightness to the gloom and doom.  :classic:

I guess all those ESL trading companies would drive any leader to drink.

There's a little black spot on the sun today
It's the same old king as yesterday
There's a black flag caught in a high tree top
There's a new flag rag and trade wind won't stop

I have stood here before inside the pouring rain
With the ETWC turning circles running 'round my brain.
I guess they're always hoping that I'll end this reign,
But it's my destiny to be the king of booze...

Haha ! Great vig (even with the imposed colours) !

Poor King Fernando... He has been forced to drink in the street by the Trade companies. I hope he is enjoying Felipe's best cider !

That is not cider, it is Calvados!

You might remember that some guys had decided to cut Fernando's fundings.

:pir-grin:

The king really is letting himself go. At least he trimmed his beard!

Good little vig!

That is how he is meant to look. The others are using a false beard :pir-laugh:
