  1. I've started a comic based on the events post-Episode VII. It's a comedy, but some strips will be quite serious. I'll try and update on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but as life can get hectic, I may miss some updates. http://thebrickawakens.webcomic.ws/ Comments and Criticism is welcome. Thanks.
  2. Choose iconic scenes from the movies/series/themes that you like. Makes it a lot easier for viewers to instantly recognise what it's all about even without a description. Doesn't always have to be a big battle/landscape, even a small vignette can do it. "Build what inspires you!" AC
  3. Yup, it's happening! So first, WB Interactive Entertainment said they will be "making a massive announcement" tomorrow that "includes two of the world's most popular entertainment brands", as seen here: http://www.neogaf.co...d.php?t=1178484 But here is the REAL proof. Amazon Italy puts this up early: http://www.amazon.it...intenevery05-21 The description says (translated with Google): "*The Force is strong here … The best-selling LEGO video game franchise returns with a journey full of action and humor based on the hit movie of Star Wars *LEGO Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force, players relive the action of the movie Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force, told through the lens of intelligent and witty LEGO *LEGO Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force also introduces Multi-buildings and Battles with the Blaster gaming universe LEGO The best-selling LEGO video game franchise makes its triumphant return with a journey full of action and humor based on the blockbuster movie. Thanks go to Brick Inquirer for pointing this listing out: http://brickinquirer...ced-on-tuesday/ So we were probably right in saying that the Finn polybag is a pre-order bonus for an Episode VII game... It also says the release date is May 31st. Could be a placeholder date, though.
  4. First off, thanks for checking out my build! This MOC originally involved a few mini-scale resistance X-Wings on display, but then I encountered Jason Allemann's (JK Brickworks)'s video on his kinetic sculpture of Sisyphus endlessly pushing the boulder up the mountain. This is where my inspiration to make a moving vignette came from. The terrain on the top of the gear box is supposed to represent any number of desert planets you want it to be, most likely Jakku though. ;) Anyways, three's a link to a video of the thing in action right below the first picture, the font is huge you can't miss it. Once again, thanks for checking this out! If you have any constructive criticism don't hesitate to comment, hope you like it! :) -Alec DSC_0460 by AlecTheAverage, on Flickr CLICK THE LINK TO SEE IT IN ACTION! https://drive.google...MzY4YkZJOEY1dlU DSC_0457 by AlecTheAverage, on Flickr DSC_0451 by AlecTheAverage, on Flickr DSC_0449 by AlecTheAverage, on Flickr DSC_0456 by AlecTheAverage, on Flickr DSC_0459 by AlecTheAverage, on Flickr
  5. I just watched TFA and I have many thoughts and theories about the timeline and characters here are a few of mine: - Luke tried to train the new Jedi Generation and Ben Solo killed (MOST of) said class then joined the Dark Side. - Rey was in said Jedi class and was able to hide from Ben so he could not kill her. - Ben knew Rey had to be there but did not know where. So when that dude mentions a girl on Jakku he knows it is her. - Luke finds Rey after Ben leaves and brings her to a ship and flies her to Jakku (that is why she was crying because she grew up with Luke and she saw him as family and did not want to leave) - Word goes around about Luke taking a girl to Jakku and Ben(Kylo) wants to go kill her but Snoke says otherwise. - Luke stays on the island that he had trained them on to remember what happened - Many years pass and The Force Awakens (Movie) begins but what about other stuff right. - Why did Rey remember being left? Rey remembered that moment because it was like her being left behind and she always thinks about her parents and when they will return and she saw Luke as a father so that's why she remembers that. - Why does she see the fight will Kylo that happens later in the movie? That is when she learns to use (her possible future weapon) a lightsaber and a big moment in her using the force.Like Ewan Mcgregor said "Rey these are your first steps" that fight was the first time uses a lightsaber that she can truly remember so to her memory that would be one of her first steps. - I think Rey is a nobody. Her parents realized she had the force and sent her off to the (at the time) popular "Luke Skywalker Jedi Training Academy". - When Snoke finds out about the force being found in a young girl on Jakku he sends troops there to kill her but she is not there so they kill her parents. - She is trained until the killing (see Theory 1).Luke sends her back to Jakku thinking her parents are still alive. - A friend of Rey's parents takes her and does not know her name well so he/she calls her "child". - She grows up and the adopted parent dies,so she becomes an orphan and a scavenger.Learning about Han Solo and other Smuggling, Thieving, Scavenging Legends. - She looked at Luke the way she did because she has him in the back of her mind, but could not really point him out randomly until reminded, so when faced with Luke she remembers being left and growing up and goes teary eyed. Please give me feedback about these if you agree or disagree. Good Bye
  6. Adaptation of my Incom T-65B X-Wing model. Features the same geared S-Foil mechanism, working landing gear and opening canopy. LDD does not yet have parts from the Force Awakens sets, so I substituted an R2 astromech and Rebel pilot for now. Will post pics of real model once I've collected the parts.
  7. Hello all! I'm sure just about all of you have seen The Force Awakens now... in The Force Awakens, the scene that I wanted to most create in lego was the Starkiller Base speech scene, with all the Stormtroopers and Officers in the crowd, and General Hux presenting his speech prior to the destruction of Hosnian Prime. Note, I will update this as I have more progress. I've been working on this for a couple of weeks now, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far. But no where near done, in fact i'd say it may be only about 10-15% done at the current state. I'm going to make this HUGE. Now, instead of getting the majority of the big lego star wars force awakens related, but rather I've mainly been getting a lot of the Battlepacks that came out somewhat recently, and I plan to replicate that scene the best I can, with tons of baseplates, tons of minifigures.. Well it's not all planned out yet, but let me show you what I have so far. I'm sure others have thought about or are even doing the very same idea, and I also look forward to seeing some other versions out there at a later time. So, here it is so far. "Today is the end of the Republic! The end of a regime that acquiesces to disorder! At this very moment, in a system far from here the New Republic LIES to the GALAXY while secretly supporting the treachery of the loathsome Resistance. This fierce machine which you have built, upon which we stand, will bring an end to the Senate! To their cherished fleet! All remaining systems will bow to the First Order! And will remember this... as the last day of the Republic!" ―General Hux Starkiller Base, Update by Brick Capone, on Flickr Starkiller Base Updates by Brick Capone, on Flickr image by Brick Capone, on Flickr I found the all plain white at the back of the base a bit boring, so I decided to add a Starkiller Base hallway with a bridge overhead like you see in the movie. Anyway, tell me what you think for now, and we'll see what it looks like at the end, which will be in a long time.
  8. Hi, everyone on this forum! The Force Awakens sets is already available to buy, but except the 75099 Rey's Speeder, 75100 First Order Snowspeeder and 75103 First Order Transporter, I not very impressed with the others, espiecally the 75102 because of several inaccuracies when compared to the trailer. As a example, the wings on 75102 don't close like in the trailer. So, I builded this T-70 based on what a Lego T-70 X wing suppose to look like in my thinking. It's heavily based on 9493, but the cockpit canopy and the wings are different from 9493 and 75102. Incom T-70 X wing Starfighter lxf picture by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr Sorry about the longer laser cannon. I just realized that mistake after I posted this topic. Some screenshots of this T-70 X wing using both LDD and BlueRender. T-70 X-wing Screenshot 1 by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr T-70 X-wing Screenshot 2 by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr T-70 X-wing Screenshot 3 by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr Yes, the astromech droid you seen in the picture up there is the old R2-D2 type. I know it suppose to designed to fit the new astromech droids like BB-8, but I prefer this design more, so I designed it like that. Need a LDD file of this model ? Download it by pressing here. (If you interested) Note: The actual LXF File may vary from the pictures in this topic. Any comments, critisms, and suggestion are welcome.
  9. Hi, Here is a small MOC for the coming Star Wars Noris Force Con in Nürnberg/Germany this weekend. To my Apoca AT-AT EPVII and the Dreadnoughts I also build some small MOC`s. One of this is a little vignette from EPVII Rey on her desert speeder. The speeder was an cooperation work with Vaionaut. After my first version he made this on LDD and the biggest part is the work of him. All photos you can watch on flickr. Cya markus
  10. Here is my take on a Incom T-70 X-wing fighter from the Force Awakens in a micro(ish) scale, here in Poe Damerons colours I thought LEGO's original version (30278) was a bit low on details, so decided to try a version of my own... I know there are still details that are not completely correct (like the halfmoon engine intakes), but there are several limitations working with micro scales. And I'm far from being an expert. Actually I'm a beginner... But anyway, I hope you like it. I'm actually quite happy with the result myself Incom T-70 X-wing 2 by Kenneth, on Flickr Incom T-70 X-wing 3 by Kenneth, on Flickr
  11. Maze: Escape From Jakku by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr BB-8 has been given part of a map that leads to Luke Skywalker and it is now up to him to deliver it to the Resistance! Play as BB-8 as you roll through the deserts of the junkyard planet Jakku and escape the clutches of the First Order. But watch out for patches of quicksand or you'll drown! You start at Tuanul village which is under attack by the First Order. Navigate through the Graveyard of Giants past a crashed Star Destroyer. Meet up with Rey at her AT-AT home, travel past a crashed X-Wing and some other wreckage, and enter Niima Outpost where you meet Finn and escape in the garbage Millennium Falcon! The LDD file can be downloaded here: Jakku maze.lxf UPDATE: It has been pointed out to me that the maze ball needs a space of 5 plates high to fit through instead of the 4-plates high space that I used, so here is a modified version of the maze to accommodate that. I lifted up the AT-AT, Millennium Falcon, outpost entrance, and outpost building by one plate each. Here is the updated LXF: Jakku maze fix1.lxf Please leave your thoughts below and may the force be with you!
  12. Just a small vignette ;) Can't wait to see the next Episode and Rogue One!
  13. Hey guys, For an internal contest on ImperiumDerSteine we have to build the new Desert Speeder vom the EpisodeVII Trailer! It must be build with current parts and techniques (as much as possible) and it must be feasible in 20 minutes! Not so easy . Doesnt think that can be so difficult to build this speeder because the shape and details are very hard at this size. But now here the pictures. All photos you found on flickr. Hope you like it! markus
  14. When I first went to see Star Wars Episode 7 on opening night, I've been very sceptical. I've seen Star Wars - The Force Awakens three times now. I love this movie, because right off the bat it delivers what makes Star Wars so great: Likeable and interesting characters, both heroes and villains that are fascinating, and a story that is driven by characters taking action and not endless, boring expositional dialogue. Discounting the Star Wars TV-experience with The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series, both of which feature likeable characters and some well-written stories and arcs, Episode 7 was the first cinema-experience that truly felt like Star Wars since the not yet special-editioned Return of the Jedi. I personally rank Episode 7 at number 3, right after A New Hope and Empire, because it was a lot more character-driven than Return of the Jedi, had banter like Empire and was fast-paced without being annoying. Rey and Kylo Ren are my favorite aspects of the whole movie - both are well-written and the acting delivers greatly. One of my favorite vehicles in the movie is Rey's Speeder. It doesn't have the legacy of a Millenium Falcon, the notoriety of TIE fighters, nor is it an icon like the X-wings, but it is a nicely designed vehicle that perfectly fits Rey as a character. It is like a huge jet-intake and fuel chamber feeding two vertically-mounted jets, and you sit on it like on a powerful bike, not like in a car as with Luke's speeder in a New Hope. I've seen quite a lot of MOCs of this vehicle already, but none of them quite spoke to me, so this was an opportunity to have a go at my own. As anyone who knows my MOCs, while I have build some rather huge and mid-sized Star Wars Vehicles of all varieties, I do have a soft spot for speeders. What I was trying to achieve with this MOC was the narrow sleek shape of Rey's Speeder, the characteristic intake and have Rey in a riding position on it, not in a sitting position. I am quite pleased with the result, and I hope you like it too. As always, constructive criticism and comments are welcome. Now that Episode 7 has rekindled my interest in Lego Star Wars, you can bet more MOCs will come in the near future.
  15. Hi LEGO community, I want to present you one (at least 2,probably 5)of my Updates for the crashed Star Destroyer ( http://www.eurobrick...51#entry2287244 ) Here is it: I hope you like it,let me know Greetings KevFett2011

But, I'd love to hear what y'all think and your thoughts on how I can make this better. Mainly, I'm struggling with the weight and sturdiness of the wings. I'm also not happy with the front section's slope or the gaps in the front of the engine. Regardless, I hope y'all like it and kudos to thehornedrat for beating me to the punch
  17. A little less complex than the Yavin IV playset or Jedi Temple Playset I've made previously. But the result may actually a bit more along the lines of what TLG themselves might put together for a functional The Force Awakens Resistance Base playset. 18. Time for a creation I am very proud of - the Resistance X-Wing from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The goal of this moc was to replicate it as faithfully as possible and still have some functionality. With that in mind, enjoy my rendition of the Resistance X-Wing! The wings and gear each move, as well as I could have hoped. One of my favourite angles. Note the targeting computer - I have no reason to assume that the X-Wings still carry these, but I added it nontheless! I built a display stand, for the hopeful day I might assemble this with real bricks. If you want to see more check out my photostream over at flickr! Thanks for taking a look! https://www.flickr.c.../116856256@N06/
  19. This is my large-scale model of Rey's Speeder. It's currently a work-in-progress, built to the scale of the Constraction figure, and is about 64 studs long. I decided to build it because I realised that a speeder at minifig scale is never going to look right - because the minifigs aren't scaled right! If you make it to scale with the minifig height, then the width and head size of the minifig will look too big. Equally, if you scale it to the size of the head, then the minifig will look too short. Plus, of course, the minifig can't 'ride' it. So I decided to do a large-scale version instead. I've been working on it for about three months now. I wasn't originally going to show this until it was finished, as I wanted people's first sight of it to be the finished model, but I thought I'd show it off now because it won't actually be finished until late summer. I still need to replace all the white with Dark Orange parts, and also use some Dark Orange to cover the parts that are still exposed. I also need to do a net for the side of it, and make the foot-stands for Rey's feet to rest on. I haven't done a proper piece count yet, but it's easily in excess of 2000 pieces. The main thing is pretty solid, and also pretty heavy! So here's where I'm up to:
  20. Good morning, Here i show you my entry for the "May the 4th" contest on Imperium der Steine. All rules and entries you can watch "here". I build the Tie hangar because the szene looks so great in the trailer! It was a little bit difficult since we have a limited size to build but now watch the photos . On my Flickr page you can watch all photos! Hope you like it? cya markus
  21. I just finished creating the latest Star Wars trailer in LEGO. Thanks for watching!
  22. Hey guys, Now it`s done and my Apoca AT-AT from EPVII cocept art ist finished! It`s my first AT in minifig scale and the next step ist to build that he can stand All photos you can watch on Flickr and here are the WIP-Thread. Thanks for watching and hope you like it? cya markus
  23. This was made for my new video that was made in 22 hours. In the photo I included the original plate in the top left corner. Alot of the fx I added in was a rust texture for the speeder along with dust and some color correction. Alot of the parts in the speeder came from the Hulkbuster suit I made for an Avengers video awhile back. If you would like to check out the speeder in action here's the video below. Thanks for looking and may the force be with you!
  24.
