  1. Hello Eurobricks! My name is Isaac, I am a student living in England and have been playing with lego since I was 4, like many of you, i'm sure! I've been doing animations on Youtube sporadically for a good 6 years now, mostly related to the hit BBC show Doctor Who. However I don't like to feel limited to it. A lot of the lego creations that I share will be made as sets or props, like some train projects i am working on; but I will occasionally enjoy creating ideas for commercial sets. Who doesn't! I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and suggestions with everyone, and I hope I can be a help where I can! All the best, Isaac
  2. Original Post Below Well after getting information on the upcoming sets for next year It doesn't look like we'll be getting any more Pirate themed sets. Do you guys think any thing will come out later next year and we haven't heard about it yet or is it truly over again?
  3. I come across a lot of these sets when I am looking on eBay or BrickLink for specific minifigures. So much in fact I wonder if it would be easier to just buy a new set myself, remove the minifigures I want, and then sell the bricks off seperate (and any figs in the set I don't want). Before I do this I want to know how well do these sets w/o minifigures actually sell though? I ask because the price of the minifigures alone seem to be 70-80% of a sets value. For instance I can buy a brand new Hobbit Bo5A set for $60 OR I can buy JUST the minifigures for almost $50 (Dain and Thorin are $10 each, 2x Gundabad Orcs are $3 each, Azog is $8.50, Bard and Legolas are $4 each, and Gwaihir is $6 as the cheapest). That means I could sell the bricks, nearly 450 of them, for $10 and be coming out about the same as if I just bought all the minifigures alone on eBay or BL. Of course most sellers still ask about 50% of the sets value for just the bricks, making it much cheaper to buy a new set, keep the figs, and sell the bricks if they actually sell. So my question is, how easy is it to just sell a complete set of bricks minus the minifigures? If they actually sell decently, this seems like it would be WAY cheaper for me than trying to buy up all the extra minifigures in sets I want.
  4. Maybe they could give GWPs to pre-orders only.
  5. Hi all! I thought that there would be a topic like this but I searched and couldn't find anything so I will start this off. What sealed sets do you have? What do you plan on doing with them? Personally, I have only recently started to keep sets sealed and so far I only have two. 31015 Emerald Express and 5002126 Martian Manhunter. I'm not a big fan of DC so I've kept this set to sell or trade in the near-to-distant future. As for the Emerald Express, I have no clue what I will do with it. I randomly got it last week and I already have 3 so I'll probably sell it or keep it to make my current train even larger.

  10. Hey there, this is the chosen Minifigure with a big topic: The value of the lego castle sets. Not PPP value, no. Fun value, moc value, and Minifigure value. Let's hypothetically say that I have NO castle, fantasy, Viking or other medival sets of any kind. I wish to get into the theme, already loving some other themes. I get to the store, with enough money for any of the sets, but I only want to buy one. Which set should I get, with the best Minifigure/fun value? Or, say I'm a moccer. Which set would be best? Lastly, on a personal note, Dragon mountain or Kings castle?

  13. Hi! First off, I apologise if this has been asked before or if there is a topic somewhere that I haven't spotted! If so, feel free to close this mods! I just wondered how long people had spent in the LEGO-less (No LOTR similarity intended) world? and also what it was that drew people back to the thing that we all love? Personally I was addicted to LEGO as a kid. I played with it and built new creations up until I was 14/15ish. My parents also bought be "Lego Studios" which got me interested in brickflicking (although that was obviously very primitive and looking back they were awful the ones I made!) At around 15 however, I grew out of LEGO - or certainly forced myself to decide I was too old for it and so I ended up spending the time that I used to play with LEGO on some computer game or other (I lived in a small village so my social life wasn't great until I hit the late teens!) Back in 2009 at 22-23 me and my girlfriend were shopping and went into a toy store for a laugh. Looking at the LEGO I remenised about my old days of playing with it (although might have played down the extent a little!). When we got back to mine I showed her some which I had to hand which we had fun looking through and building with... and I showed her my brickflicks. She thought they were cool and a couple of days later we made one together which was fun. And that could have been an end to it - but then I started searching in the evening for LEGO type things and came across Classic-Pirates.com and ultimately this forum... and then I was hooked again! I found a new stopmotion program and bought a new webcam - and created my first youtube video "Lego Pirates: Rafting, Battling and Commandeering" which received very positive feedback. I then set to work on a brickflick series "Brickington Sails Forth" which again got generally good feedback... and that's been me back into LEGO and Brickflicking ever since! In short, my dark ages were from 2001ish to 2009 so around eight years - how long were yours? Or did you not have any!? P.S. I'm still with my girlfriend and now share a flat with her. The LEGO occupies a large amount of it... much to her annoyance! She's going to do some voices for my latest brickflick later tonight though, so I think I'm converting her!
  14. Hello, I have asked the LEGO community: Which has been your favorite set of the year 2015 – and why? 15. LEGO plans it's long-term themes for three years. Nexo Knights has an extensive marketing campaign, most likely a long-term theme. If it's a long-term theme, it will very likely last until the end of 2018. If it is successful it will most likely be extended for years to come. Please tell me if I got information wrong or if you disagree.
