I completed this SHIP some days ago for SHIPtember. I hope you like it. Loki's shadow by FonsoSac, en Flickr Loki's Shadow is a ship of the Confederation of Planets Human specializing in electronic warfare. Named after the deceitful norse god Loki. As the god Loki its power is not based on the strength of their arms but on the ability of creating confusion in enemy systems . Most of the interior is full of nano procesadores running AI programs that try to penetrate enemy defenses. In the Sgur system conflict Loki's shadow was crucial to disable all systems of the Admiral Garamon's flagship leaving it at the mercy of the Confederate frigates. The battle was decided with no casualties in 12 minutes. Loki's shadow by FonsoSac, en Flickr Known functions: - Interfere communications. - Capture and decrypt communications. - Disable enemy shields - Disable enemy weapons - Loosen the targeting systems - Confuse identification friend or foe systems causing friendly fire - Divert, direct or detonate launched missiles and torpedoes - Disable propulsion systems - Interfere enemy sensors to hide allied ships and/or show more ships than there really are in the battlefield - Avoid the enemy can do all the above in the ships of the Confederation Loki's Shadow by FonsoSac, en Flickr More photos on my flickr account

Shots of each little store follow, though I hope to get individual pictures of each one later on, since I put a lot of work into making them all attach and detach easily! Coffee shop! You can't see it in this shot, but the worker is cleaning up a cream spill. Color-scheme wise this might well be my favorite of the shops. Chinese take-out! Burger lovers coagulate around this restaurant! Also the most delicate as the floor is composed of 3x2s attached only by a layer of 2x1 tiles on top. That is something I'm going to have to fix! J's Pizza - fresh made on the spot! If you want to be healthy for the rest of your life... don't come here! Chicken? Random Facts: Weight = 10 pounds. To me, that's a heavy LEGO build! Time = ~15 days, but I did most of the work in the last 3. Before then I just had the SHIP without restaurants, without greeble, and without the panels, without the front, and without the back. What I would have added if SHIPtember had 31 days. Or 32. I would have liked to switch out the admittedly slightly dorky looking front for a more semi-truck like front. I also wanted to build a couple of little ships to fly by. But instead, time flew by... This is just my second SHIP (and much bigger and sturdier than the other one!) so comments and criticisms are more than welcome! Thanks for looking!

After the original fell off a table, I rebuilt it into this version that I infinitely prefer. Bio: Orion class deep space cruiser have been used for years as a reliable way to transfer goods, passenger and other cargo on long haul space flights. Most versions of the cruiser carry two small shuttles to be used as an escape route for the crew in emergencies and as a way to unload cargo Length: 110 studs Parts: 1000+ Time To Build: One Month (off and on) Built for SHIPtember 2015.

Hey guys, I recently finished my first SHIP. It has been the biggest Lego model I have ever constructed. Consisting of way too many parts (I didn't count to be honest), just over 1 metre long, with a wingspan of around 75cm and weighing approx 10-12kg. I was only 9 when the original Space Police theme was released, and then I only had one set (6886 Galactic Peace Keeper), but it was, and still is, one of my all time favourite sets. I've since bought a couple of other sets from the theme as well as many many many of the panels and decorated slope pieces used in the sets. The SHIP took me around 3-4 months of weekends and occasional evenings to build. A lot of time was spent constructing various parts, only to deconstruct and reconstruct differently. I had planned on a fully detailed interior as well, but I ran out of time for a show, and by then I was a bit over it. The Bridge is detailed though. Inside the hull is a brig with a working door (oooo exciting!!! :-P) and a few spots that hold the battery boxes for the lights, but that's about it. The roof of the main hull, and the roof of the bridge are both easily removed. The thing is solid as a rock too. Survived the 3.5 hour each way car trips, in the boot of my car, with minimal breakages. Pics are here on my flickr page: And if anyone's interested, there are some WIP pics here too (although I didn't take many): Here is one Pic. It's one of my favourites as it truly puts the size of the SHIP into perspective. The ship wasn't 100% complete at the time, but that's my 4 year old son posing with it (and he's not exactly a tiny kid!) Thanks for looking. Sam

If you're living in a town with a marina, you should have a boat. Actually a SHIP would be even better, and then you can already choose to go luxury. Check out my new SUNREEF 100 classic luxury sailing catamaran. For the colors i chose to do a version for my friend's divecenter Thailand Dive and Sail which fits the boat very nicely You can see the full model gallery here: SUNREEF 100 - Thailand Dive and Sail colors LEGO replica catamaran My friend assisted the build process and documented everything with his camera, so there's a complete WIP article with tons of construction phase photos here: Sunreef 100 lego WIP – How To Build A SHIP In 18 hours I hope you enjoy both, the model and the WIP blog Yours Alex

Video Overview of the build: RS Industries deploys several scrap fleets to salvage derelict SHIPs in space. The RS HUDSON is a demolition class scrap vessel - when docked with floating wrecks, the RS HUDSON has a retractable arm which is capable cutting into hulls of SHIPs. Cubes are cut out and sent to waiting Dumpships which transport the raw cubes to the RS UNWIN which continues to process the cubes further. Refined materials are loaded into cargo containers ready for shipping. The UNWIN is the Scrap Fleet's mobile processing plant - taking raw materials from its sistership RS HUDSON, this ship sorts and refines the salvage material and placing them into cargo containers for off ship transport. The RS UNWIN is built by Ricecracker who came up this awesome layout idea. Ricey is typically a The Town MOD so I was thrilled to do a Sci-Fi build with him. The SHIP is about 180 studs long, and the wreck/rock is about 3x3x1 feet. The RS Hudson has a NXT (for the 'arm') and two powerfunctions (front conveyor belt and engine pulsing), the wreck/rock has one (for glow fluctuation)- which takes a combined 24 batteries to operate -- After it's untimely demise at Brickworld Chicago, the entire middle section was destroyed, and given the effort it takes to put up the Space Wreck (about a day) it would only be displayed once. As such RS Hudson was repuprosed into the RS Hudson Jr: After near destruction in the Chicago sector, the RS Hudson was repurposed from a SCRAP SHIP to one of RS Industry's Comet Catchers. The RS HUDSON Jr now captures comets in it's center hold, and proceeds to crush the comet, striping out frozen Water and other useful minerals. The RS HUDSON and Space wreck (aka Space rock, aka ice house) are the two largest LEGO structures I have ever built, it has been almost a year long journey with Ricecracker who conceived of the idea of SPACE wreaking SHIPs. Through many ramen meals the idea of a pair of SHIPs came together. Here are some WIP photos as I built up the SHIP and the Wreck: And finally like all good builds, it would have to be scrapped itself and eventually sorted:

The Yoshikuni by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The Yoshikuni by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The Yoshikuni by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The Yoshikuni by skapunkplaything, on Flickr When Siro Hatzuki graduated from clandestine supplier of weapons to Outer RIm pirates to legitimate member of the Merchant's Guild, he was told that he no longer had to be the ostentatious figure he once was. Being rich enough to ignore pretty much all advice, he went on to construct his pride and joy, the Yoshikuni, ostensibly his 'yacht'. However, with a scale and defence suite rivalling most warships of similar size, it is far from a simple pleasure craft. Length: 225m Crew: 102 (50 passengers, to boot) Armament: 2 x STS Cannons (Wing-mounted). 2 x Single-mount Frag Cannons. 4 x Flak turrets. Computer: Hitachi XT-80a. [[Realistically, This has been built for a long, long time and I've been too lazy to photograph it. I need to take it all apart, for the sake of SHIPtember.]]

This is for the SHIPtember contest on Flickr. The contest is to design and build a SHIP (Super Huge Investment in Parts, a spaceship that is over 100 studs long) in the month of September. The minifig scale freighter I built weighs near 11 pounds, is 110 studs long, and is surprisingly sturdy. Some notable features: working overhead cranes, opening doors, a full interior, two small transport vehicles, and working landing gear. The Knor I is a middle class freighter that carries a four man crew. It's two small transport vehicles are docked at the landing pad in front of the bridge. With dual overhead cranes and loading docks the Knor I can load or unload its cargo quickly and efficiently. Numerous solar panels provide power for the large engines. Lots more pics can be seen here: link All C&C appreciated

Here is the SHIP I built for the SHIPtember challenge on Flickr: It clocks in at 120 studs long, and 60 something studs wide. Many features include a large shuttle bay that can carry many different things. Comments and criticism are welcome. And I seem to be having troubles using the enter key here. Had to type this all elsewhere and copy it here.

Challenge 2 Category B Octan Entry Pilot, and occasional First Executive/Acting-CEO, John Hannibal commissioned the O.T.C. "Mercy Brandy" to further his goal of colonizing Octan territory with entrepreneurial, hard-working colonists brave enough to leave the familiar atmosphere of Earth and embark on a journey of momentous potential. The "Mercy Brandy" is a unique ship. Formally a long-range bomber on Earth, her hull was sealed and engines modified for space travel. Now, instead of wasteful bombs, the ship carries colonization pods, customized and delivered to colonists throughout the galaxy to sustain their expeditions and provide them with the tools to survive new worlds. There are many aspects of the ship that mimic it's belligerent origin. Hannibal was adamant that this ship be capable of reinforcing any colony at a moments notice, regardless of enemy blockades, unfriendly climates, or incredible distances. Thus, evasion and defensive counter-measures were enhanced and a specialized crewman would have the role of monitoring all surrounding "air"space and neutralizing any incoming projectiles. The engines were also upgraded with heat and atmospheric disruption dampeners to hide any signature of the ships course. Hatches on the tail of the ship allowed ship-to-ship docking and towing of smaller starfighers or exploration craft. Hannibal's job as a pilot with Octan leads to a large variety of smaller ships docked to the Mercy Brandy. Currently, the OS-461 and a small speeder bike are available for aiding the colonists. Inside, Hannibal and his crew oversee the ship. The spacious cockpit/command-bridge is quickly filled with colonists when the mission calls for it, but the current arrangement allows for Hannibal to analyze a variety of HUD's throughout the mission. When deploying pods, Hannibal vigorously scans readouts of the surrounding landscape and identifies threats and resources previously unknown to his people on the ground. His assistant crunches the numbers on their investment and constantly pushes the crew to move on to subsequent deliveries. On either side of the bridge, crewmen can find their sleeping quarters when not on duty. Seating can be attached to the floor in most locations except on the path to and the hatch below the evasion specialist in the rear. He is the only crewman required to have a personal oxygen supply and a decompression suit at all times. From his position the specialist can override the pilot's controls (although effective flying really requires both a pilot at the main controls and a co-pilot at his side). The hatch below him leads to the cramped cargo area in the tail of the ship, which exits out to a main ramp and two more hatches for ship-to-ship connections. Engines and counter-measures array. Rear landing pad/ship-to-ship link-up Thanks for looking. C&C always appreciated. I plan to keep this together for BrickUniverse Dallas in November, so come see it if you're in the area.

This is my second SHIP ever, it measures in at 106 studs long, and just under 6 pounds. It's quite sturdy and features an interior, opening missile bay, rotating turrets, and working missile launchers. Plus a there's a docking location for a small speeder. The MANTIS corp. has been rapidly producing a heavily armed fleet of spaceships. The Stinger is only a mid sized battle cruiser, but it packs plenty of firepower with it's laser turrets, various missiles, and heavy ion cannon. Standard crew consists of just 6 men thanks to advanced technical systems. Plus it's powerful plasma engines make it one of the faster ships around See lots more pictures on my website: link Thanks for looking

See the rest of the story: Season 1 Season 2 Junker's Fee Welcome to Fondor Fondor City Nightlife Many Bothans Died... Well At Least One Fixing to Clear the Mind Thermal Detonator Pot-Pie Focus Torturous Trial The Escape MKJoshA was forced to leave his ship, Rough Edges, in the space docks above Fondor when he and Kale fled the planet. He knew it would probably be impounded and sold for scrap, but that was a small price to pay to avoid the clutches of the Empire. Instead of the comforts of his own ship, he and Kale found themselves on board a barely space-worthy vessel known as The Calamity Star. In his efforts to help Josh escape, Kale had connected with the Rebel Alliance to see if they had any means of assisting. It turned out that they were no better equipped than Kale in helping Josh escape, but they did have a way for them to leave the planet. The Rebel Alliance was pursuing a mutually beneficial relationship with the crime syndicate known as the Black Sun. The Black Sun had a freighter leaving Fondor that day taking cargo to Nar Eurbrikka, and they were in need of two more crew members. Kale had signed the two of them up and they made it off world before the Imperials knew where they had gone. Josh and Kale needed to get to Kuat, but since the Black Sun was their only safe way off planet and since the Rebels needed their help a detour to Nar Eurbrikka couldn't be avoided. Josh just hoped the effort in helping the Black Sun was worth it. OoC: Comments and critiques welcome! I decided to double up my entry for this contest with my SHIP endeavors. Took a lot more bricks than I expected, but I'm pleased with the results.

A difficult to complete MOC, directly inspired by the French Sillage comics from Jean-David Morvan & Philippe Buchet. Here is the original drawing that was my inspiration source: Erradikor 7 - Original Drawing by Veynom, on Flickr It took me several days to start with the hull (for which I applied a classic space pattern) but then it took me several weeks to complete the model. I wasted a few more weeks just to take some pictures of it manily because it was built during winter and I wanted some decent light. The model is too large for my small photo studio or maybe my photo studio is too small. In the end it still took me a few more weeks just to start with the necessary picture editing but ultimately, here it is. Long and hard work but not too bad as a result I particularly enjoyed the truly atypical hull shape of that little beast measuring 80cm long. Thanks to these 80cm (and that little s2S antenna), it can proudly enter the S.H.I.P. category. Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr s2S stands for "ship to S.H.I.P." ;) The Erradikor 7 in action: Erradikor 7 in Space by Veynom, on Flickr Sitting on its display stand: Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr Conquistador-class Star Destroyer Erradikor 7 by Veynom, on Flickr It was a not so easy greebling exercise of all kind on each side, without even talking about the numerous antennas, arms, and other pitots.
