This was a really fun build, that let me try a few new things: mainly the curved roof design, and using the new lavendar leaves. The crane and doors actually work, and the posts of the dock go down into the ‘ice’. There’s a full interior as usual. You can see tutorials for both the lower roof, and curved roof. The city of Daydelon has many warehouses, most are equipped with a crane, and large doors on the second floor for easy unloading of cargo. In the summer, boats are harbored at the dock, but the winters of Mitgardia are so cold, that carts and wagons can be driven on top of the ice. See more pictures on my website, here. Feedback always appreciated

Here's my Phase 1 build for the storehouse category in Age of Mitgardia. I limited myself to an 8x8 base size for this build, and was mainly trying to make a realistic looking cellar entrance. Fruit cellars are commonly used in Mitgardia to store food, and other goods. Rats can become problematic, but it looks like this one's food stealing days are over: See more pictures here: link Comments and suggestions welcome

As I was brainstorming ideas for a new build, John suggested a castle with four phases, showing how it, and the landscape, changes through each season. Realizing a good idea when I heard it, I set to work on the castle. Since I will need to modify the landscape for each phase, I planned to have the castle lift off so it’s easy to rework the base. As usual there’s a full interior, this time accessed by both a hinging section, and pull out rooms. The castle itself was inspired mainly by the creations of Eklund, DNL, and Aliencat. Simon S. suggested the addition of a moat. The castle features a working drawbridge, gates, and shutters. This is one of my biggest builds, weighing in at over nineteen and a half pounds; the base is 52×52 studs, including the border. Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Spring brings new life to the countryside, as the snow finally melts, and animals awake from hibernation, or migrate back to the area. It’s a busy time of year, as fields need to be plowed and planted, and supplies restocked. Drawbridge closed: As always, you can see more pictures on my website: link I hope you like it, summer will be coming next

The second phase of my project to show Arangr Castle through all 4 seasons. See spring here. The landscape changed most, though there are some changes to be found inside the castle as well. Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Summer sees the continuing growth of plant and animal life. The warmer weather dries up the spring rains and encourages outdoor activities. More pictures can be found on my website. Thanks for looking

The fourth and final phase of my project to show Arangr Castle through all 4 seasons. See spring, summer , and fall. What was your favorite season? Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Winter brings snow and ice to the countryside, and an unusual quiet, as most animals are in hibernation of have migrated to warmer climates. Fortunately a good harvest has provided plenty of food for the castle’s residents. Inside a feast is begun, and the minstrels are just arriving. See a large res picture of all 4 seasons together, here. And see more pictures of 'winter' here: link Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed this series

The third phase of my project to show Arangr Castle through all 4 seasons. This was a fun season to build, as it being the time of harvest, I was able to have lots of fun minifig details. As well as some fall foliage, which is always neat. Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Fall sees the harvest of crops, and storage of provisions for winter. The leaves fall, as the weather gets colder, and animals also make preparation to hibernate or migrate south. As usual, there are more pictures on my website: link Thanks for looking, one season left

An entry into the Castle Goes to Space contest on classic-castle. Check it out here: link, I chose to redesign the set 6899, Nebula Outpost, into a castle watchtower. Credit for the ballista design goes to Jacob Nion Small wooden watchtowers are often found slightly outside of Mitgardian villages and towns, situated on a high point in the landscape to give early warning of any sort of threat: Set it's based off of: Thanks for looking, I plan on focusing more on GoH builds in the next few months

EDIT: The title should be: AoM: Store Phase 2: Danyel's Smithy. If a mod could fix that, it'd be great. An entry into the Castle Goes to Space contest on classic-castle. I chose to redesign the set 5890, Squidman's Pitstop, into a medieval blacksmith shop. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, and it was very fun transforming the space details in the set into medieval features. Danyel is a capable blacksmith that never lacks for work at his smithy, and his wares are often sold by his wife in the market at Daydelon. Space set it's based off of: More pictures here: link. My entry for Category A of the Frozen Beyond contest. There's a full interior in the manor, via pull out rooms: dining hall, armory, storage room, barracks and bedroom. The doors and trapdoor are functional. Sir Glorfindel and a group of valiant Mitgardian warriors have been serving as a task force to help defeat the Algus from destroying more Mitgardian lands and homes. Lord Thandril had let them use his Manor as one of their bases, but now even that is under attack from the frozen invaders: See more pictures here: link Thanks for looking, I still have another build or two to come this month, including a biggy

Built for the Colossal Castle Contest. It was inspired by Michal Herbolt's "Defending the Mine" build. There are 4 individual cell modules that hook onto the back of the build. The dwarves of Hradcanny know well that run down prison cells increase the chances of escape, thus, even their dungeons feature wonderful craftsmanship of stonework. Snowy Castle dioramas have long been my favorite subject matter, so this was an extraordinarily fun build. This is my largest irregular base build to date, and features a full interior throughout the whole keep. The rockwork was made using my technic brick design, which you can see a tutorial on, here: Flickr It's my personal favorite of all my builds so far, so I hope you all like it The citizens of Nordheim are quite proud of their large keep, and can often be found feasting inside it's protective walls on cold wintry days. Here is my build for Barracks Phase 2. It's a bit of an unorthodox training ground, but I thought it would make sense for Mitgardian warriors to be well trained in how to survive Mitgardia's icy climate. Also, this is my unofficial entry to the Natural Beauty category of the Summer Joust. The smaller pine tree is based off of mrcp6d’s design. Part of any Mitgardian warrior’s training is to learn how to survive for days outside in the frigid cold with minimal supplies. Snow shelters offer relative warmth during the night if well constructed. More pictures: link Your comments and suggestions are always appreciated

Here is my Barracks Phase 3 build for Age of Mitgardia. It was actually made in 2015, but it took me forever to get around to making the other barracks phases. I used SNOT 1x2 tiles for the stone walls, and quite like the stone block texture it gives. Daydelon barracks is a prominent barracks in Mitgardia, and houses from all over the guild send their sons there to be trained as warriors. In fact, it's not overly unusual for citizens of another guild to train for a time in Daydelon. Thanks for looking, your comments are always welcome

Here's my phase 3 storehouse for Age of Mitgardia. I used the vast majority of our dark brown collection in this build, and really like how it looks with the reddish brown walls. The storehouse features a full interior with plenty of supplies stored for the winter. And the doors work. Just outside one of Daydelon's large storehouses, Smolja the dwarven blacksmith is greeted by Flotnar. "Good day, Smolja! I hope your work hasn't been keeping you too busy of late," said the cheerful sailor. "Good day to you my friend, and while I never have lack of work, there hasn't been as many pressing tasks of late. Your dogs look to be in fine shape, how do they enjoy life aboard your ship?" queried Smolja. "They enjoy it well enough, though they're happy to gain a romp on land when possible. In fact, they're the reason I've been meaning to talk with you. You see, I'd like to have some light chain collars made, with the dogs names engraved on small placards. Rjoor and Rif are their names." Flotnar stated. "I can do that easily enough," replied Smolja, "bring them round to my smithy tomorrow, and I'll make sure the collars fit properly." "Thank you, Smolja, I shall drop by tomorrow morning." More pictures can be found on my website. C&C welcome

Here's my build for the second Gatehouse phase. I used a similar ground texture to what I did in my previous build, “Start of a Journey,” and tried a different stone wall design for the gatehouse. Mitgardians, it is time for new elections. Will Mittenlander be elected again or is it time for someone else to shine?! I announce: The Parliamentary Election! What is it? --> A chance for any Mitgardian to create a small campaign (1 post long) and present his/her candidacy for prime Minister of Mitgardia! Who can run, and who can vote? --> Any Mitgardian Guildsman can run for the post, and all EB members are eligible to vote!! Why vote for a parliament when wee have a Jarl? --> The wisest ruler recognizes that his power comes from the people he leads; thus it is a good idea to know that their voice is heard through an official governing body. When is the vote being held? --> The candidates will have 3 weeks (Until December 31th) to create a campaign post (described below) write a short speech, and post it in this thread. Voting will take place between January 1th and January 8th. How is the vote being held? --> Cast your votes in the poll right here! How do I enter my candidate in the running? --> Basically you post 1 single post in this thread. It must include: 1) A picture of your candidate, (could be just candidate, or a full scene, but he/she must be the dominating figure. Please don't post giant photos.) 2) Write a shot description on their history, why they are running and what changes they hope to bring. 3) Have a fun slogan, or campaign promise. (i.ee lower ale prices, no more orc riots etc) 4) Once a few candidacies are posted you may take a stab at one or more of the other candidates by spreading rumors, attacking their credential or just calling them troll-witted. (If you choose to take the high road you may ignore this section, but what fun is that? ) Let's have fun with this again! Post your campaigns Below!

This is the final build in the collab between myself and MKJoshA. I hope you enoyed it as much as I did. Kabel inspired the floor design with the sweet custom sail on his ship, you can see it in the Challenge III topic. Upon arriving in Valholl, Wyndor and Glorfindel went straight to the capitol building and once inside that they headed to the throne room itself. Several nobles and officers of the army were discussing current matters and arguing different strategies. Elon Chorian and Steen Larsson were waiting to hear news of their travels... "It's good to see you two again," said Glorfindel. "Likewise, I'm glad you weren't injured or waylaid on your mission," Elon replied. "Now what do you have to report?" Glorfindel reported: "Tension between different races and factions in Mitgardia is on the rise, but as of yet most are still willing to work against a common threat. How long they will maintain that attitude remains to be seen. Even now, some new change of events could move things toward a civil war. The dwarves, if rumours be true, seem most likely to make a rash move and plunge Mitgardia into chaos. Reportedly they've been having many long councils in their great cities concerning the invasion of Avalonia." "Yes, I have heard similar tidings," Larsson added. "Then we must look into the matter, we need definite proof that the dwarves are plotting to attack Avalonia before we can intervene. In the meantime be on your guard and do what you can to promote unity," Elon ordered. More pictures: Without figs: The bear paw insignia: Noble and Officer figs: C&C appreciated

This is my phase 2 build for the House category in AoM. I'd like to receive UoP credit for: roofing (one of three) [Architecture], and manufacturing [Trade and Law]= 2 credits Surprisingly this is my first time building a medieval Blacksmith shop. It was a lot of fun and I think this is my best medieval house yet. As always there's a full interior and the door works. Every town needs a blacksmith, and Daydelon has a very good one. He's kept busy sharpening tools and swords as well as making new ones. More pictures can be seen here: link All Comments/Criticism appreciated

This is my Phase 1 build for the House category in AoM. This was a fairly simple build, I tried some new furniture designs and tried to make the house look like a common medieval cottage. Many new houses have been springing up in Daydelon, half-timber cottages with thatch roofs are common because of their low cost and quick construction. All C&C welcome

This is an entry for the Medieval Town category of the Colossal Castle Contest. My younger brother, whose builds I often post in Historic Themes, helped me build this. There are three buildings in the scene: a bakery (the red building), a inn (the tan building), and a church. All the buildings have full interiors and all the doors work. I'm quite pleased with how this turned out and it will be staying together a bit longer than my builds generally do (a few days at least ). I'd like to receive UoP credit for: half-timbered Tudor style [Architecture], stained glass [General Building], and city scene [Anthropology] = 3 credits Daydelon has become a very busy town. The church in the center of town has had many new buildings spring up around it, including a bakery and inn: To see more pictures go here All C&C welcome

Well here is what I've been working on for just a bit over a month: Kaldrfell Castle. I took inspiration from many different castle builders, but here are some that inspired specific sections or details in the castle: Ecclesiastes, Kayne, Eklund, peggyjdb, Buurli Burri, Andhe, and legonardo. There is a full interior in every building, and the keep lifts off and hinges open. Also every door/trapdoor, and the drawbridge and portcullis are all functional. Interior buildings inside the castle include: a smithy, servant's house, stable, and chicken coop. And I think I came up with a new archer slit design, it can be seen on all the buildings except the rounded tower. Basically you center a 1x3 arch so that it has a half stud offset on each side and the use brick modified with stud to hold tiles to fill the gaps. You could make pretty much the same windows with going to the bother of centering them, but I like the texture you get when you do. The pictures should explain the design much better than this description. Kaldrfell Castle looks out onto a small lake in the Heavenly Mountains and protects the city of Kaldrfell which is built around the lake. Lord Nordan and Lady Deonne, Glorfindel's parents, rule Kaldrfell. Here Glorfindel pays them a visit: There are tons of details so be sure to check out more pics here: link All C&C greatly appreciated
