1. Iron Man 3 (2013) - Hall Of Armour, Module Considering I've nearly collected every single LEGO Iron Man Minifigure I've decided to find a way of displaying them. The initial option was to go for the well known Hall Of Armour concept from Iron Man 3 (2013.) With this I tried to nail as much detail from the movie modules. One notable difference is the scale and proportions. I've decided if they are going to be designed in the LEGO medium it only makes sense to have them evenly proportioned relative to a Minifigure. Now that I have got this primary design off my chest I can move forward with a full concept to display them: -I could simply stack several modules / units on top of each other much like the Iron Legion glimpse we had towards the end of Iron Man (2013.) -The alternative is replicate the 'Hall Of Armour' as seen in Iron Man 3 (2013.) Including the small details seen in the 'Suit-Up' scene towards the start. The problem with this is that there is only space for five to seven armours. Feedback and criticism is much appreciated. Adeel
2. I always want a proper model based on Agent Coulson's flying car and fortunately the new Avengers Video Game have a really good looking one. So i decided to build it at least in LDD. The "work" beginned with taking a lot of screenshots from every angle the whole and the exploded car. I'm very happy with the final build and i hope you like it too. Here is the final model and it's LDD: I also built an updated one for better structure in the inside: LDD Update: Added some flying pics:
3. Homer Simpson play Lego Arcade Game for donut :)
4. Hi, my name is Ian. I loved LEGO so much as a kid, but when I got to high school I went into my "Dark Ages". Fortunately, or unfortunately for my wallet, I started working at a local Toys R Us my second year in college and have fallen back in love. I've always loved Spider-man and Batman, so those are the sets I usually buy. I've managed to buy every Marvel set so far except the first Quinjet, so that's probably the line I love the most. I haven't done a lot of MOCs, but I do enjoy recreating people I know in LEGO form, that's me pre-beard as my pic. Glad to be a part of an AFOL community now!
5. Lego Batman 3 teased a DC and Marvel crossover game. If Lego does eventually make this game what would you want it to be about. I would say maybe Darkside and Thanos team up? Share you'r thoughts.
6. Hello, this is my Review of the new Lego Marvel Super Heroes Set 'Super Hero Airport Battle' (76051) - 'Captain America 3: Civil War'. I like all builds of this sets (even the tiny Quinjet), but the Giant-Man is fantastic, what a fun build! Best wishes Andres
7. Just a little vignette I made to display my spare Spider-man minifigure. Enjoy.
8. Hi! This is one of my first minimovies (so do not be too harsh with the assessment). Its "old comedy" style..but i know it could have been a little sharper picture. But still - im pretty satisfied with the result. Have made some other movies and trying to improve for every new one!
9. Here are three alternate models for Marvel sets: S.H.I.E.L.D. jetpack from the 76036 Carnage’s Shield Sky Attack set Hydra tank using two of the 76017 Captain America vs. Hydra sets And a bit more compact version of the Hulk Buster armor using only parts from the 76031 Hulk Buster Smash set ..jg
10. Hi All, I recently finished building my life size 26inch captain america sheild, its made out of Light blue grey plates covered in 1x1 tiles, in total it used about 8500 parts. Captain America minifig is sitting on it to get a sense of scale. More photos on my flickr enjoy
11. Due to the design problem/issues surrounding the Ant-Man Final Battle set (76039), it was never made available for retail purchase in Australia. Which is a shame, because it's a great set! It includes a minifig of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) as the present day Ant-Man, and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) as the 60s era Ant-Man! It's a great idea, but oddly Pym's head is just a reissued Gandalf head from the LOTR range. He doesn't even have his beard! So anyway, I thought I'd design a Pym figure more closely resembling his appearance in the movie: Hope you like it, feedback is of course most welcome!
12. It had started out as a normal day taking picture for the Daily Bugle in Central Park. But when Doc Ock started photo-bombing the pictures, Peter Parker changed from his photographer's clothes into his Spiderman outfit. Spiderman had things mostly under control, but Doc Ock was proving to be a little harder to capture than normal. Just then the Avengers, on their way back from destroying a group of Skrulls, stopped to see what the fuss was about. "It's okay guys, I got this!" shouted Spiderman as he dodged a flying taxi. "This guys got 8 arms," said Tony Stark, "You only have 2, we'll pitch in and get this villain taken care of in no time!" "Actually, he only has 6 arms, then 2 legs" mumbled Spidy. "You guys won't let me be an Avenger and now you won't even let me take down my own villains! How is a guy supposed to get any respect around here!"
13. Has anyone else been watching the new Marvel/Netflix show Jessica Jones? She's a former costumed super hero turned private investigator (and alcoholic!) Figured she deserved the Lego figure treatment, but haven't decided on the hair yet. I'm leaning towards 95225 in black but am open to any suggestions: And even though he's officially appeared (in his comic book incarnation) in set 76016, here's Luke Cage based on his Henley-shirt-loving appearance on the show: As always any feedback is most welcome!
14. I have been waiting for this set for quite a long time. When I saw when it was being released, I couldn't wait. I knew exactly what I was going to do with this. The Sinister/Insidious Six vs Spiderman and his Amazing Clones! And for the non purest, look away, some villains have made their way!
15. And with every mighty superhero team comes a mighty headquarters! Located in the heart of Manhattan, the tall building that used to be Stark Tower until the Battle of New York stands as a symbol of hope and serves as a base of operations for the Avengers. Here, they can train, strategize, create new tech, or just hang out, and sometimes build evil robots that want to kill all humans. Based on its appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, this tower is not just a great display piece, but also functions as both a UCS-style playset and a tilt system for the Lego Ideas Maze. It even features an automated ball return mechanism that is designed to work with mazes that have actual holes in them, so that if your ball falls through, you can watch it roll down the tower, floor by floor, and get lifted back up to the top where it is dropped back into the maze. And the best part is that you don't even need a table to play the maze as the tower doubles as a stand for the tilt system! Here it is without any of the fancy graphics. It took 3 days to render that first image, so please excuse me if I use low-quality screenshots for the rest of this post. Some profile shots of the building. Thanks to the hinges, the rounded back wall can be opened like double-doors. The third picture shows the opened backside. As you can see, there are stairs connecting each floor in addition to the ball-elevator, along with the obligatory fire extinguisher on every floor. A shot of the North side of the building. I'm actually not sure if this side is accurate to the movies since I couldn't find any reference pictures of this side of the tower. If it isn't, please leave your barrage of nerdy complaints in the comments down below. A top view of the tower. It was quite a challenge to get the curvature of the platforms at the top right. As mentioned before, the ball return mechanism only works with mazes that have holes for the ball to go through, but of course you can use mazes without holes as well. Here is how it looks with an example maze which is the official maze from the set with a new color scheme and modified to have real holes. Please note that this maze is just for demonstration purposes and not part of the entry. There is a slightly tilted platform below the maze so that if your ball falls through the maze, it will be guided down to a chute through which it rolls down to the hangar below. Once in the hangar, the ball rolls down the channel on the left, around the outside of the landing platform (which features a working turntable), and back towards the rear of the hangar through the channel on the right. The ball then rolls down a ramp that leads to the front of the building where it then zig-zags down the slanted windows. Once it gets to the bottom, the ball enters the building through an open window and rolls down a channel that leads to the elevator chain in the back. When it gets to the chain, the ball gets picked up by two prongs and lifted up to the top by Jarvis (i.e. a Power Functions motor). That much is clear. The only question is: If you put Thor's hammer on the ball elevator and it goes up, is the elevator worthy? Once it gets to the top, the ball is dropped onto the rails that lead out of the building and back into the maze. The cycle is complete and the fun can continue forever and ever until Infinity War. Now let's take a look at the interior of the tower. The front face of the building can be opened to access the inside as shown in the following image: The first floor features a lobby with the Avengers logo painted on the floor, a reception desk, and a waiting area. The second floor is where the Iron Legion is stored and repaired. Three fully posable robot arms with different tools hang from the ceiling and there is a rack of spare parts and other tools in the back. Counting the spare parts, there are two dozen legionaries here. Clearly they haven't been painted yet at this stage of the assembly. The third floor is a laboratory where the Science Bros, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, can do some science together and foolishly create maniacal A.I.s. There are many computers, holograms, and tools, as well as a medical bay in the back. I based the look of the lab on this concept art: On the fourth floor there is a large training room where the Avengers can hone their skills by sparring each other and dodging fire from several turrets. After training, they can relax in the living room on the fifth floor. Here, they can throw a party, have some drinks, and play a friendly game of Who Can Lift Thor's Hammer. The tower also includes living quarters for each of the six Avengers. The sixth floor houses Hulk and Thor's rooms. Hulk's room is expectedly messy and has food strewn about, a Hulk-sized weight lifting bar, a plant, and a TV. Thor's room on the other hand is decked out in Asgardian gold and looks nice and shiny. It features a golden statue with the winged helmet that Thor refuses to wear in the movies for some reason, a large banner, and a small desk with quills where he can write letters to Jane Foster and his friends back in Asgard. The seventh floor is where Steve Rogers and Tony Stark live. Steve's room is filled with old-timey things like wooden furniture and a phonograph, as well as the American flag of course, and a hanger for his shield. And yes, that newspaper on his desk is the Old Times. Tony's room reflects his egotistical playboy lifestyle as it features a large painting of his alter ego, a hi-tech stereo, and a bed large enough for one or more lady friends to spend the night with him. Note the contrast between Steve's giant old phone and Tony's little smartphone on the other side of the wall. Black Widow and Hawkeye's rooms take up the eighth floor. Both feature a simple bed and a wall where they can hang up their weapons. Additionally, Natasha's room also has a closet and a make-up table (a girl's gotta look good while saving the world! ) while Clint's room has a dart board and a desk where he crafts his arrows. You can click the images for higher resolution and you can download the LXF file here: Avengers Tilt System.lxf Feel free to open it in LDD and explore the tower as I have spent a lot of time building it and putting in more details than I probably should have. I hope you like it and look forward to your feedback. Excelsior!
16. I can`t imagine that i`m the only one who is wondering about this. I know that some of the newer Lego Games have quite a nice Array of brickbuild Ingame Objects and Vehicles and i`ve always wondered if there is someone or a Group that collects Infos about them and try to build them in LDD or physical Bricks. So,anyone can lead me to some Infos?
17. Do you ever use parts from the Collectable Minifigures (CMFs) to mod your DC and Marvel superheroes? I used the CMF Series 3 elf's head and Series 16 dog show winner's hair for Aquaman. Spider-Man benefited from the Series 16 wildlife photographer's arms. Are there any dual-moulded blue legs with red boots that match Spidey's colours?
18. After seeing a lot of people make customs minifigs, I though I should start giving it a try. So for my first minifig I will make a custom Blade. The one piece I need help finding is a torso for Blade, any ideas?
19. Has anyone noticed how Lego has so many obsessions when it comes to Super Hero sets. Besides the obvious with making most of the sets based on their favorite characters... Like Spiderman and Batman. For Spiderman there has been 8 Marvel sets based on him. 1 Juniors set, 1 Micro Racers, and 3 more sets to come in the summer with him potentially him in the 4th Civil War set. There has been 8 variants to the character but really a lot of them don't change too much. Out of the 45 Marvel sets (Up to Doctor Strange) he has been in 14 of the sets. Now Batman..... There has been 8 "DC SUPERHEROES that he is not in. 2 Juniors sets, 1 Micro Racers and 2 more sets to come in the summer with the potential R'as Al Ghul set. There has been 20 variants to the character. So out of the 36 DC sets he has been in 24 of the sets. So there are 81 Superheroes sets, they have been in 38 of them which is almost half.... For some reason there has been 4 Quinjet variants (Avenjet included) Also they have the weird tendency to put fire extinguishers in sets. Or maybe they've just been ketchup bottles the whole time! Anyways I just thought I'd everyone know and see these obsessions Lego has. Let me know if you guys have noticed anything!
20. First off, I would like to give credit to cmay91472 for the inspiration and ideas to do my own version of the Avengers Tower. I used three #76038 Attack on Avengers Tower sets and a handful of my own bricks that were needed to extend and finish the MOC. I extended the roof top deck/lounge area and made the front of the base able to open up. Red lighting on top due to low flying aircraft and some other ideas I had. Thanks for looking.
21. LEGO have announced a new Marvel Collectible Minifigures Series for September 2016. Click here for more details!
22. Hi all, Complete long shot but does anyone happen to be selling the 4 statuettes from the Helicarrier set? Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye and Nick Fury (I have the SHIELD agent). Last 4 I need to complete my Superheroes line up. I was after one on Bricklink which was a good price from the US and as they got my message somebody else purchased it . You win some, you lose some!
23. Autobots vs Decepticons! Obama declares war on Clone Brands! George Clooney head explodes! Bane breaks Batmans back. Aquaman tackles a shark. All of this is just.. Awesome! A LEGO music video of the Everything is Awesome song from The LEGO Movie. Just a quick little test on some new features in preparation of the next Justice League movie.
24. So I just want to start off by saying that this is my first topic on eurobricks and that I am a new user (I started like 2 weeks ago) and I am an American, and I'm excited to hear what you have to say about my topic. Now I want to start off by saying that in 2014 alone the following 5 Marvel movies will be released: Amazing Spiderman 2, X-Men days of future past, Captain America: The winter soldier, Guardians of the galaxy, and Black Panther, with that being said I also want to remind you that every year Lego can only make 6 Marvel sets. So I just wanted to ask you guys how you think this will affect the Lego sets, obviously the movies will be released at different times, which means that some of these movies will get sets in 2015, but with 5 movies, Lego can only make 6 sets, and a Green Goblin big fig was already promised to be released in a set in 2014 as well. We also have no information on the 6th 2013 Marvel set, and Thor 2: The dark world is surely going to need a couple sets. So what do you think? Will Lego pass on making sets on some of these movies? If you think they would, what movies would they pass on? X-Men? Guardians of the galaxy? I believe that the SDCC fig of Spiderman in his AMS2 variant hints at ASM2 sets. Also they discontinued the Captain America's avenging cycle set which mean Lego may be preparing for sets in 2014. I would personally love it if Lego did not do X-Men Days of future past sets. Why? Well Lego only has 1 comic book based set in Marvel (being wolverines chopper showdown), and other than that only 5 mini-figs got comic book variants. The Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, the Phoenix, and Spiderwoman. When you make a theme that revolves around comic book's I find it to be a bad "move" to make so many sets not based on comic books. I would love another comic book based X-Men set. How about you? Sorry for the length of this article, but I just wanted to get that all off of my chest! Also I know the title was very misleading and that I talked (well typed) mostly about movies in this articles, but oh well.
25. I was wondering whether Lego would ever reintroduced branded Technic Sets. And I'm not talking about Ferrari, Williams or Lamborghini. From memory I can only recall there being a few Technic star wars characters, but never any vehicles. So my questions to you guys are do you think we'll see it anytime soon, and if so what would you like to see? I'd personally like a Batman Tumbler and a BTTF DeLorean that lights up like a Christmas tree.
