A free-build placed in Avalonia, and also part of InnovaLUG's 'Ye Old Merry Battleground' collab, for Brickfair Virginia. This was a really fun build to make, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. I’ll definitely be doing some more Forestmen themed builds in the future. Inspiration for the rockwork goes to Brickvader. The Forestmen's camp is hidden well in one of the many forests in Avalonia, and provides an excellent base of operations for them. They have scouts placed at various locations a little ways from the camp, and a few outside of the forest to keep an eye on the neighboring Lords and Barons of the land. Most recently, they learned of Sir Ruari Leanin leaving for a tax collecting tour, which they took full advantage of... More pictures on Brickbuilt I would like to claim UoP credit for: Geography: Forest Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated

Book III is coming to an end, and that means we all will have to make a choice. For some of us, this will be obvious, but for me... I'll show you what I mean: VS CC is very welcome, and please let me know wich one you favour. A special thanks to SK and InnovaLUG for hosting the Summer Joust, in wich I will also enter the vignette category with these two. Thanks for watching, see you next time!

Previous Chapter: Vampire Slayer --- Next Chapter: ??? "Then there is no changing the fact that you disobeyed your Captain. Is this not true, Aeldric?" Chamal Chairal asked with an authoritative voice. ((Sorry about the quality of this picture )) "Before i ask, i have a question for you, Chairman Chaman Chairal," Aeldric said back. "And what would that be?" Chamal said, leaning forward in his chair. "Where is Wizard Vorthentus? Why are you in his place?" Aeldric asked. A great silence fell about the room, ominously calming the floating stones around the Aegis realm. Chamal sighed before opening his mouth to speak. "Vorthentus has set out to stop a great force but has not returned. We fear he has died." the Chairman replied. A heavy face blew across Feowind. "Now, do you deny?" Chamal said, returning to the previous inquiry. "I do not. But, i set out to avenge a great elf. Aurthal was a powerful shaman of nature, and i slew the Vampire that killed him, and in turn avenged his soul so he could rest." Aeldric confessed. "Then you deliberately denied Avdar's orders?" Chamal said. "...Yes. I am guilty." Aeldric said. "Then, you are to be revoked of your title, and you shall be stripped of your strength, and never be allowed the presence of the Aegis Council again." Just then, a green-robed man stepped through the Aegis portal, carrying a white letter with the seal of Albion on it. "I have a letter from De'Gothia of Albion, sires." the man said, bowing, and holding out the letter. "Do you realise you are interrupting a council session, messenger?" Avdar asked the man. "Yes, but this letter is of more importance to the council than any of you here." the man boldly said. "Let me see it," Chamal said, standing up. The man handed him the letter, and Chamal unrolled it. "I have heard the news that Aeldric of the Rangers of Avalonia has slain a powerful Vampire of Nocturnus, and has avenged the powerful shaman Aurthal. This act of his has proved him brave and courageous, and I grant him the position of Captain of the Rangers of Avalonia. He has shown his strength, and i grant him the authority over Avdar's force of Rangers." ~De'Gothia of Albion Avdar stood up in a rage. "de Gothia thinks he can revoke my title?!" he shouted. Chairman Chamal stood up over him, with a foreboding appearance. "The Leader of Avalonia has Spoken, and his will shall be done. You, Avdar, are to be revoked of your title, and replaced by Aeldric." ------------ Alright guys! I've finally uploaded and finished the build! This is part 1 of the end of Aeldric's story, as his tale will be coming to a close, for reasons i will not explain, because that would spoil the story! Anyways, as usual, CC welcome, and i hope you enjoyed! Also, thanks to de'Gothia for letting me use dialogue for his character in this build!

Here's my entry for Category A of the Frozen Beyond contest. Hoping to get over our argument, I reluctantly agreed to accompany Gremlon on a trip to Mitgardia. Our destination was Falcon Manor - a vital fortress that was untouched by the Algus. Until now... After my last few small builds, it was nice to build a slightly larger moc again. The main technical challenge in this MOC was the rounded wall - it's a technique I've used only once before (in Zelpunra's Tower), and the fact that I built that section in about 2 days (rather than 1-2 months) made it particularily difficult. The right wooden section also had some tricky half-stud offsets that required a bit of subtle upside-down building. I also haven't done many snowy builds (I think the last time I did one was early 2014) so that was fun, used most of my collection of curved slopes. On a side note, photography was tricky with white on white. I really need to get a good light blue/grey/black background... Enjoy! Thanks for viewing!

Here is the last part of my Frozen Beyond participation : The last outpost : The 2 other parts of the story are : Snow in the Enchanted Forest ?! Mom is really angry ! After a while rebuilding the old border outpost between Falahuas and Circardia, Walaheria and Faladrin reinforced their position just in time to see the Algus last attack begin ! They were just 4 of them but there was an Algus sorcerer with them ! The sorcerer brand his staff and threw ice bolts at the door of the outpost. The door was near to break when Faladrin and Walaheria ordered the couterstrike ! - Come on guys ! Don't let those abominations break the door ! Throw them the flamable oil ! Bring me some fiery arrows ! Noihe and a guardsman put oil on fire and dropped it to the Algus. Walaheria spoke some elvish words and her sword blew a fiery wind upon the Algus ! And they were over... Every Algus in the Enchanted Forest was melted ! Thank you for reading. Some Bonus Pics : The Bad guys : The Great heroes : At last I could finish this contest ! There are so many great entries, I am pretty sure I can not pretend to any prize (especially in the Cat A !) but I wanted to make the full contest ! And yes ! it's done ! And I enjoyed building out of my comfort zone ! (Especially in the Cat B, I had never built a beast before !) Thank you Ecclesiastes to organise this contest and good luck everyone !

After reaching Nocturnus, Tauro and Bregir have split up. Whilst Tauro has continued to Shadowmere, Bregir heads towards other members of the Nocturnian Resistance. Tauro has found Shadowmere in a sorry state of affairs. Recent events have taken their toll, and the citadel is no longer quite as whole as it once was. Nevertheless, the Lady Sithanna rules in Vladivus' absence and it is to her that the Trifork's message is delivered. She receives Tauro in her personal chambers, the Minotaur an unusual acquaintance for the vampire Lady. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally got around to replying to Bregir's build! I tried a new technique for myself, offsetting the walls by a half-stud. The colour scheme is largely inspired by one of Jorrith's Shadowmere builds, so credit there! C+C welcome!

Fenrir had travelled for days from Port Wrath to reach this point. What he was about to do could easily see him killed. He laughed to himself under his breath. A smallholding in the Trifork. A peaceful place. Not the warriors death he would hope for. The soldiers at the house had directed him behind the house. After he had laid down his arms whilst he was several hundred metres away. The staff he kept; "You would not deny an old wolf his staff to lean upon?" he had called. Behind the house, he had found Beorthan, Mayor of the Trifork hard at work planning battles in a small clearing. Beorthan: "You are a traitor Fenrir. I am sure Shadowmere would pay greatly for your head. No doubt your betrayal lead to Vladivus' death. Submit to me, and I promise I will see you to Shadowmere to stand trial." Fenrir's nostrils flared: "A welcome no frostier than I expected. I have not come to surrender, but to rather ask your aid." Beorthan: "Aid? you shall have none from me." Fenrir spoke then at length, imparting many secrets to the Mayor, and outlining his plan. Beorthan was almost swayed, but he knew his people must come first. Beorthan: "The Trifork has an alliance now with Shadowmere, and even as we speak, my friends are confirming that alliance once again. If I support you, I would be breaking my word to Shadowmere. My people would not be forgiving- they look to me to lead them in a time of peril." Fenrir: "Rarrrgh, I should've known better than to seek aid from you damnable tight wearers." He turned to stride away. Beorthan: "Fenrir! Wait! I did not say I would not aid you. Whilst I cannot give you the men you ask for, I can suggest that you seek out Alric of Dronds Feelds. He may be willing to ally with you." With this new plan, Fenrir travelled to Dronds Feelds. The wolf found Alric at the town of Tonfeld [roughly translated, this mean walled field in Saxon]. Tonfeld was a heavily fortified town in the south of Dronds Feelds, but inside the walls, it was a bustling hub of activity. Fenrir entered through the main gates, and was met by Alric. "Greetings, wolf! What does a Nocturnian want with an Avalonian? It is not often that we entertain traitors!" Fenrir growled at this. "I am no traitor! I fight for the one true ruler of Nocturnus. Let us speak more of this in private." With that, they moved to a tower top, away from the ears of spies. Fenrir's words spoke to the young warrior, and Alric readily agreed to lend Fenrir soldiers for his cause- providing that Shadowmere would count itself an ally of Dronds Feelds and would continue it's current alliance with the Trifork. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's going on!?! I can barely follow myself and I know all the secrets Fenrir knows! Keep a look out for the final build to wrap this story up! C+C welcome!

The Aestwäld Saga (1) The Aestwäld Saga (2) The Aestwäld Saga (3a) The Aestwäld Saga (3b) The Aestwäld Saga (4) The Aestwäld Saga (5) The Aestwäld Saga (6) The Aestwäld Saga (7) The Aestwäld Saga (8) The Aestwäld Saga (9) The Aestwäld Saga (10) The Aestwäld Saga (11) The Aestwäld Saga (12) The Wolf and the Knights ------------------------------- Alric looked up from the fight. He, together with his Avalonian Guard, had stormed the gates Midras Castle and, after a long and bloody fight, managed to breach them. Now they were in the courtyard, the Drow-soldiers in front of him fought for every inch. The cobblestones were soaked in blood. Above him, Cath had led the Drond's Troops into a close space combat on top of the walls, and, seemingly miraclous, they even managed to slay the enemy back! Almost the whole wall of the formerly Avalonian Border Fort was freed, and she had even managed to put the Drond's flag back. Suddenly, a female voice cried out: "Alric! I'm here! Alric looked up, and finally, after so many weeks, his eyes met again with the eyes of his wife. -"Elysabet! I'll come get you!" But, while conversating with his lover, he wasn't paying attention to the battlefield around him. A long-handled axe came down. ----------------------------- The general looked up from the fight. Yes, they were winning, but he feared the cost of victory. And he was not thinking about money. His trained eye glided over the courtyard. The close space in worked in their favor, since they had less men then the enemy did. The left flank was weak though, so he decided to sent some reserves there. Their centre was the their strongest point, and it was there that Lord Alric led the elite Avalonian Guards in a charge to reach the other side of the yard. He sighed. Young Alric shouldn't do such things. He could get himself wounded. Yesterday, the general had heard of a girl breaking both legs in a duel, and this was not a duel, this was a battlefield! Then he saw his liege... And he saw the ax coming down, knowing it would take too long to get his sword out... So he jumped. ---------------------------- Alric heard the sound of falling metal behind him. He lifted his sword hand in a desperate parade, but in his heart he knew he would be too late. The he heard the sound of metal crashing on metal, followed by human screams. When he turned, he saw the General lying on the ground, an axe stuck in his head. A cold anger welled up, and with a short thrust of his blade, he finished the enemy soldier responsible for this. Suddenly, the voice of his wife sounded again: "Alric! Be quick! They're here! They'll take me with them! Help!" A second shadow appeared before the window. ----------------------------- After calling a last time to her husband, Elysabeth gave in to the Drow-soldier wanting to take her with him. If only her hands were not bound in chains, she would have rammed his own spear through his throath! She turned for a last glance on her man, but heard a strange, rattling sound behind her. When she turned again, the guard was dead. In his place, a wolf-knight and some undead-soldiers stood in the room. She screamed, and in response on her scream, the wolf-man howled out loud. ---------------------------- When Alric heard the scream of his wife, his blood turned ice-cold in his veins. If they had even touched her, he would stuff their guts through their own throaths! He didn't want to think of what to do when they had raped her. But then he heard the howling of the wolf, his strange ally, and smiled. Their plan had worked! With refreshed energy, he charged into the enemy, followed by his soldiers who didn't want to seem less in the eyes of their commander. The Drow, unable to stand their charge, the fighting on the walls and the third attack from the Wolf at the same time, turned. First it was one man, then two, and suddenly their morale collapsed and the whole garrison fled the field of battle. While his soldiers turned the battle into a slaughter, Alric went to meet his wife. They umbraced each other, and after Alric had made sure his wife was fine (wich was so, aside from a few bruises and scratches), they went to the walls, to congratulate Cath with her succeeded attack and get a look at the fleeing Drow. Outside the castle, these were slowly regrouping... When a horn sounded. Alric smiled again, this was becoming a very fine day indeed, and watched how Beorthan's heavy cavalry finished all Drow but a few. These were lucky to be able to swim, and as such got iver the river, out of the horses reach. ------------------------------ But their victory had been costly in lives, as the general had forseen. His own live was on the butcher's bill too, so someone was needed to replace him. Alric choose Burrich, a veteran who had fought under his father and even seen Artorious Rex! But Burrich had been Captain of the Drond's Guards, so he needed to replace that position too... And it was not gone by unnoticed that the woman, Catharina or Cath as she wanted to be called, had fought very well today, even managed to win the fight on the walls, and had so received the respect of the soldiers. ------------------------------ An hour later, all commanders were gathered in the main building of the castle. Alric opened: "My Lords, my ladies,... My friends. We have won a great victory today, and Drond's Feelds will always be in your debt. But the enemy is not yet defeated, and noone sazw their leader today. At the same time tough, we have other matters at hand. As such, I decide to split up in three: Cath, you will take some infantry and a contignent of the Avalonian Guard to pursue this foe. Burrich, you will escort my lady home, and make sure she is safe. Fenrir, I'll come with you to Shadowmere. Beorthan, what are your plans?" "And for now... Leave me alone with my love. We have something to do..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm sooooo sorry you had to read through all this, but I enjoyed the writing As you can probably see, this build is based in Simon S's builds, and also a bit on SK's. Anyway, CC is very appreciated! Additional images:

Avalonia, with it's enchanted forests, rolling hills and green pastures, contains some of those most scenic and serene lands in all of Historica, and Lavenwood Vale fits the mold perfectly. A land between filled with lavender leaved forests and open fields, the citizens here enjoy the productive harvest, and the protection of the Rangers of the Vale. A farmer makes his way home from town, passing one of the Rangers' garrison towers. The break from Nocturnus, as well as the Historica tour, continues. Nothing complex about this, just been wanting to use the old lego tower technique in a build as well as do a classic fantasy build, for a while now. As always thanks for looking, commenting and critiquing. There are a couple of more images on my flickr page if you guys' are interested.

A few Algus stragglers( I guess they didn't get the memo that the challenge is over) force their way into Avalonia, leaving an icy trail of destruction in their wake. Luckily Lord Dan has rallied his forces and they make a stand on the border of Araluen against these Frozen Invaders. The Araluen Town Guards are having a little too much fun with their job. Extra pictures: This was going to be my Cat C build for the Frozen Beyond challenge, but I ran out of time before the deadline. Im actually glad I missed it because it allowed me to spend more time fully developing the build instead of rushing it, and besides it didn't have much chance against all the awesome entries in that category anyway. Also I couldn't decide between black or white background for the main shot, and both have pros and cons so I included both. I also finally made a new outfit for Dan, so he has something to wear besides full armor all the time. Comments and Criticism are welcome. Thanks

As the power of the Algus is beginning to wane, merchants, traders and travellers are starting to travel from Kaliphlin to the north now that the roads are no threatened by the Algus. My last build in the north of Historica for a while. I'm going back to Kaliphlin for warmer weather!

Previous chapter After a very fruitfull meeting, Alric knew that his enemy, for wich he since long searched, were near. He also knew, from a farmer, that his troops were by far outnumbered... Not even speaking of their poorer equipment and training. But he had to win this fight! So if the material wouldn't win, maybe the spirit... As such, when they reached a special stone outcrop, Alric didn't doubt and mounted the rocks. They were very smooth, almost like someone had polished them, but he finally managed to get up. After all of his men were assembled, he started to speak: "My dear gentlemen, you've always served me well, and hencefor I will not ly to you. The enemy outnumbers us by far, and their equipment is way better then ours." A silence spread out. "But, men, we can't let them win! They hold my lady, they hold YOUR lady, and it is our duty to bring her back. And we may be outnumbered, we may be unequipped for such an important task, but will that stop us? NO! Since we are Avalonia! Our parents were brought here by the King himself, in the so-called Flight of Dragons... Well then, HEAR THE DRAGON ROAR!!! And we might even have a little surprise for them!" The soldiers started cheering, while the wind played a little game with the Dronds banner, blewing the Blue almost to shreds and letting the Green hang still... None of the Avalonians had ever asked themselves wether these standing stones might be erected, and so: by who? --------------------------- Just a little build, to get myself back going, but expect something big to come soon! CC is as always very appreciated! I also really enjoyed writing that speach, hope you like it! Thanks, Titus Additional images

Hey everyone After settling in the furthest west of Avalonia, these three set up a small house close to the cliff edge. The Avalonian colors fly near the entrance of the house (And as decoration at the bottom). Still new to the land, they take their time exploring different locations and plan to expand their settlement here. As always, all feedback is welcome! A closer look at the landscape and front of the building. Looking forward to posting more here in Guilds of Historica. Thanks all for your time! ~Pat

After long talks and many couriers, Alric's wife Elysabeth has decided to build a Mitgardian ambassady. She hired one of Nordheim's most famous architects to put a Northern building in an Avalonian landscape. Of course, the building features full interiors: In the central hall, Elysabeth and Nordheim's ambassador Hollr are talking about trade agreements. Maybe an alliance follows... So, I always liked Mitgardia, but Soccerkid's and kabel's builds kindled a true love for the north in my heart. The building itself uses only "Mitgardian" techniques, while the environnement is based on Full Plate and DC. Special thanks to SK for helping out with the roof (who is better now then on most of the images) and to Halhi141 for the stained glass windows

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3a Chapter 3b Chapter 4 It is early morning in the Trifork, and the hustle and bustle of the city is only just beginning as the citizens wake up and begin their daily chores. Beorthan has just arrived at the city hall, and is now standing on the balcony, overlooking the very heart of his lands. From here, he sees a battered and beaten man limping his way towards the entrance of the building. Ordering the guards to let the uniformed man in, he turns on his heels and rushes to the mayors office, calling his friend and second in command, sir William Drake, to join him. In the office, he receives the battered man solemnly with a small bow. "Greetings, sir - May I call for someone to take you to the infirmary?" The man looks up anxiously, his body obviously aching from some incident. "Thank you most kindly, mylord - but first, I must speak my business - it cannot wait!" Beorthan frowns and looks to Drake, then back to the man. "Well, man, if it cannot wait, speak up immediately!" "Of course, mylord! I bring word from Alric, Lord of Drond's Feelds, and in his heart your friend and ally. He most humbly requests the strength of the Trifork to ride to his immediate aid..." Drake raises a brow, and gives Beorthan a significant look. "We too regard Alric and Drond's Feelds as our friends and allies. But what troubles have led him to seek our help? And what happened to you?" Still somewhat breathless from the strain of his travels, the messenger stops to collect his thoughts before speaking. "I was beset upon by an unseen enemy, setting a trap for my mount. I have been running here with all my speed. You must react quickly, as I am already delayed too long!" Beorthan motions to the man to calm down. "We shall ride out within the day, if only you will let me know to what end!" The messenger looks down in despair. "I... I have lost the message as I was ambushed... but..." "Yes?!" "An unknown enemy has raided our southern villages mercilessly. They have come from the east... in great number..." Looking to the maps, Beorthan seems alarmed. "From the East? They must have come through my lands... 'Tis unacceptable!" "But sir... There is more... They have taken lord Alric's wife... Your niece..." Narrowing his eyes, Beorthan's resolve seems to grow - he turns to Drake. "William, I want you to take a company of infantry south. We must block our enemy from getting reinforcements." Turning to the messenger: "You will be escorted to the infirmary, and if you are up to it, I shall ask you to ride out with me, as our guide. We shall be leading the cavalry." "Thank you, sirs. Lord Alric will consider himself in your debt." The messenger bows as best he can, before being helped out of the office by a guard. ________________________________________________________________ My humble addition to TitusV's Aestwäld Saga - We Avalonians can also do collabs! You may consider the first picture a teaser for a large build (my largest so far ) of the main plaza of the Trifork, which you will see whenever I 1) get it finished 2) figure out how to photograph it. As always, c&c is welcome. Hope you like it.

A trio of Avalonian soldiers return to Araluen from Kaliphalin, where they were stationed during the civil war. Now that the fighting has died down and their captain has recovered from the attempt on his life they finally made their way back home to the vast forests of Avalonia. Nearby, a trio of Araluen town guardsmen explore the underground network of tunnels left by the Drow and Dwarves. They have been tasked with exploring and mapping out the tunnel systems near Araluen so that they can be used by the Avalonian. Neither the guards or the makers of these tunnels ever realized how close they came to finding the resting place of a magnificent ancient beast. Here is a shot of the tunnel from the other side Notes: All the underground scenes in these builds were built about a year ago, and i had planned to put my Task 5 castle on top( All the builds are connected, with the tunnel on the left, the forest in the middle, and the bones on the left), but then i lost interest in it and it sat around for a long time, until i eventually decided that the castle wasn't up to my standards anymore, so I tore it down( I really, really needed the pieces). I kept the underground scenes since I liked them, and I tried to come up with a use for it for a while, but recently I decided to just photograph the good parts as separate builds. I also built the forest scene in the middle in another attempt to finish the whole scene, but quickly gave up and decided to only make a small scene with it. C & C welcome

Free build for Avalonia 4th task : The restauration of Falahuas Chapter 1 Here is my first participation for the 4th task of Avalonia : I would claim the agricultural build for my capital Falahuas. It is also the first chapter of the story of the Restauration of Falahuas. Hope you'll enjoy it. After the Drows' attack on Falahuas, the fields near the city of Falahuas, the capital, had to be regrown rapidly so the citizens don't starve. Old Erthain, one of Faladrin faithfull friends, restarted some crops just at the western exit of the capital, at an ancient roadcrossing called First Fall Point, near the first falls of the river Falahuawin. Rest Falahuas 01b by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr Faladrin himself went to salute his old friend and inspect the crops. Rest Falahuas 01 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr - Faladrin : Hi my friend ! How are you ? - Erthain : Fine mylord, it's a pleasure to see you. - Are the crops ok for feeding the people now ? We're going very short in food supplies by now. - Yes, mylord, there will be enough to feed everybody. But we will need more men to harvest. - Ok, then you shall have men. - Thank you mylord. - You're welcome my old friend. - But mylord... To be continued...

It was a cold night. A shadow glided over the courtyard of N'Ora. It was no more than a shadow, perceived from the eyecorner. It dodged guards like it dodged light. When the shadow reached the stairs, it hesistated a moment. Then it took the way upward. When it came to door at the top of the stairs, a single candle lighted human form for a few moments. Then the light decided it didn't want to have anything to do with the stranger, and seemed to twist around it. A tendril emerged from the darkness, and reached toward the door... ------------------- The Mayor of N'Ora shivered and stretched his hand a bit further toward the warmth of the fire. It was a cold night, too cold for the time of the year. And like his grand-aunt, may she rest in peace, always said: "Cold nights, colder tidings." A wise women she was, his aunt. He looked up. Was that a noise outside? He decided it wasn't. And if it was, his guard would dispose of it. He had more important matters at hand. Only a couple of hours ago, he had received a message from his liege lord, Alric, saying that... He never saw the shadow coming, never saw the knife flashing. While the wind howled outside, his inside went silent... --------------------------- Thanks to you all for following, and to SK6, who gave me the inspiration. I'm very very sorry for the picture quality, but quite proud of the MOC itself. Enjoy! Edit: thanks to Ska for changing the topic title! Here are the previous episodes of the story : The Restauration of Falahuas Ch 1 The Restauration of Falahuas Ch 2 After his visit to Erthain and his inspection of the food supplies level, Lord Faladrin discovered the roads to exit the Principality of Falahuas were cut. Faladrin thought it was really the badest news he could have ! The port was severly hit by the Drows' attack as they came through rocky caves by the sea shore. The city center was badly damaged and the Market place, the city hall, the forum and the residence of the Princes are still in ruins too. It is difficult without the roads merchant trafic to be able to rebuild the city. How cuold the workers will build up some repairs without material supplies ? He definitively have to form a 'Road Repair Team' made of workers and of warriors to repair the roads and to secure them as well. As he arrived at the 'Wharf Delight', the old tavern alongside the quays of the Falahuawin river behind the fishery, near the port, Faladrin made his decision, he will supervise the roads repairs and lead the team himself. The Tavern and Inn is of good standards and had not suffered too much from the attack, so Faladrin and his wife, the Princess Walaheria, decided to move their residence here until the Princes' Residence is rebuilt. The Princess Walaheria was just finishing preparing herself when Faladrin arrived. And Faladrin joined his wife to explain her his plan. Rest Falahuas 12 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr - Hello my love ! Good trip ? How are the food supplies ? Will the citizens starve ? Asked Walaheria. - Hello ! No, that's fine, the food suppplies are just enough to feed everybody but there is an other problem : The roads have been cut by the Drows when they retreat through the woods. - Oh ! I see... And without a functional port... - Yes ! You are guessing well, We are cut from the world, from our allies. But I have a plan : I will lead a little group of workers and warriors to make the repairs and I would like to you to lead the repairs of the port. Are you agree ? - Yes of course ! It is my duty as a leading Princess. - Ok ! Great ! I organized a meeting for this afternoon where I'll hire the team. In the tavern, the meeting begins : Rest Falahuas 15 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr Rest Falahuas 11 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr - Alright, thank you all for coming at this meeting ! I see some of the fishers, great ! And some of the merchants, ok ! But you too ? The artists ? you want to work hard on the roads ? Said Faladrin when he saw the leader of the band he saw in front of the tavern the morning. - Yes of course Mylord ! Said the lady leader of the performing troupe. We are stucked in the city. Don't take offense, but it is not our way of life, we want to travel and perform our show elsewhere. So, what is the best for us to help and repair those roads ! - Alright ! Every help is welcome ! I am hiring you too. Ok ! Now the team is complete ! Lets get to work ! And Faladrin organised the roles of everyone, the plans of the bridge, the positions to reinforced by building new surveillance towers and the many details needed for such endeavor. With this build I am claiming Some of the Task 4 building for the city of Falahuas, Capital of the Principality of the same name. I'd like to claim : - Hospitality -Food and Beverage : Tavern (first flour) : Rest Falahuas 13 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr - Hospitality - Lodging : Inn (second flour) : Rest Falahuas 14 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr Entertainers : Performing troupe : Rest Falahuas 16 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr Thank you for reading my story. I know it is a bit long but the building was inspiring me when I built it so I felt I had to make more. So I added a removable second flour to add the Inn part of the building. The performing troupe made its own way when I prepared the minifigs to illustrate the front of the Tavern/Inn of the Wharf Delight. Hoping you like it. Thank you for C&C.

Nur Amon is a small village at the Drond's border with the Trifork. The few villagers who live there are defended against raiders by a strong tower, part of the "defensive wall" around Drondil's Kaliphlin border. Not that there are many of them, The only possible loot would be the livestock of Nur Amon's farmers. Suddenly the air darkens. A seamingly endless stream of black-clad warriors start to pear into the village. Seeing this, the guardsmen gives a cry and asks who they are and if Alric knows they are in his territory. The warriors just ignore his question, and while the rest start raiding the village, one of them stabs a spear through the guard's guts. One by one, his collegues end up with the same fate, while other soldiers purue the remaining farmers. On top of the tower, the last guard puts up a desperate fight, but his effort can't win the skirmish. A black soldiers takes down the flag of our proud county, green of Avalonia and blue of Drondil, and after putting up their own fight, starts relieving himself on our colours!!! Then he throws it down and leaves the roof. -------------------------------- Quint was afraid. No he wasn't afraid: he was scared to death! Never ever happened in Nur Amon, and now they were the subject of an invasion, with him being the only one left alive! He was laying on the ground with at least three spears pointing at his head. Suddenly, a shadow appeared. A raw voice sounded: You're probably thinking why you're still breathing. Well, you're going to do something to me. Run to your daddy -but, your soldiers just killed my da- the other side of a spear made him be silent. You're going to run to that count of you and tell him right this: (sarcastic) Lord Alric. Wanna switch your wife for your county? Cheers. Understood?Quint nodded, and while the soldiers pillaged his home, he ran as he never had before. ------------------------ I'm quite proud of this, and it will be seeable at BMA. I used another camera for these pictures, is it better? Thanks to Beorthan for collab-ing with me, to Maxim, and to you for reading! Untill the next chapter, Titus ------------------------- Addditional pictures:

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3a Chapter 3b Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Having made preparations for leaving, Beorthan is now at the head of the Trifork Lancers, being guided westwards by the somewhat battered messenger to join forces with Aelric. The Trifork Lancers form an elite company of heavy cavalry, making up the main shock force of the Trifork Arsenal. Formed shortly after Beorthan's election as Lord Mayor of the Trifork, they are armed with the finest Shadowmere steel and riding powerful steeds from Drond's fields. Participating in the Kaliphlinite civil war quickly turned this newly formed company into an experienced, battle-hardened force to be reckoned with. Trained to fight both mounted as heavy lancers and dismounted as heavy spearmen, they are effective in both offence and defence. At the same time, Drake is leading a company of Trifork infantry through the southern swamplands to the plains near the southern border of the Trifork and thus Avalonia. Marching across these few miles of open land, an enemy will be able to seek refuge in the hills and mountains making up most of the border between Avalonia and Kaliphlin, through which they can sneak deeper into Avalonia. Raiders often choose this arduous route, rather than to face the obstacle of the fortress city of the Trifork. Drake's objective is to stop enemy reinforcements from making their way to the fight. As the cavalry, the infantry of the Trifork has been hardened by the Kaliphlinite civil war. By reforming the old city watch, Beorthan has created a disciplined, well lead, and well equipped force able to adapt to most situations. Trained by the veterans Marcus and Cassius, they are well-versed in most infantry tactics. ____________________________________________________________ Next instalment in the Aestwäld saga. Further, it is also my entry to the Avalonian Task One, presenting my troops. C&C is, as always, more than welcome. Still looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3a Chapter 3b Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 After having just received a call for aid from Drond's Feelds, Beorthan has mobilised the forces of the Trifork. As they are making their preparations, he has asked his wife Mariana to join him and Drake for a walk through the city. "…therefore, I will head the cavalry to join forces with Lord Alric, and Drake will take the infantry south to stop any forces from moving through our lands. In the meantime, you will handle matters here, Mary." Mariana and Drake both nod, as they follow Beorthan through the narrow canal streets of the lakeside quarter. "However, there are some things we need to discuss before we leave. As you both know, the Trifork has come out of the Kaliphlin civil war stronger than ever. Our economy is booming, and our troops are experienced and battle-hardened. However, we cannot stand alone." As they pass a small bridge, Drake chimes in: "I agree. The situation in Kaliphlin is still uncertain - with the High Council holed up in their cities, and the Desert King already proclaiming his triumph, we have a mess at our borders. Not to talk of the trouble brewing in the Darklands…" Mariana continues with a frown: "Further, the situation amongst our own ranks is shaky at best. With the lords of Avalonia having backed different sides in the war, animosity and distrust has been sparked. The trouble to the south may end up being the least of our problems." Pausing to greet a townsperson passing by, Beorthan agrees: "My analysis is the same, my friends. Therefore, we need to reach out to all and every ally we have. This task will fall upon you, my love - I have no doubt you can handle that, as well as the daily management of the city." Mariana and Beorthan exchange a loving glance. "When you were elected Lord Mayor, I knew these duties would fall upon me in times of need. Things will be taken care of, as I long for your return…" Returning her smile, Beorthan continues with a serious tone: "I want emissaries sent out at speed. Our allies in the High Council must be reassured that the might and wealth of the Trifork will continue to back any decision they may take on Kaliphlinite matters." "I concur. The High Council best represents the interests of the free Kaliphlinite cities, the people, and the merchants; and as such too the interests of the Trifork. Not to mention the atrocities and despotism of the Desert King…" Drake adds. Mariana ponders for a second: "I will send riders to the MacLeans in Eastgate; to Lord Gideon in Barqa; to Lord DaMaximus of Mpya Stedor; and to the pockets of resistance in and around the Nestlands. From there, word can be spread of our continued allegiance." Both Drake and Beorthan nods. "Further, it is imperative that we reestablish diplomatic relations to Lord Vladivus of Shadowmere. He has shown friendship before, and we are not to let down our friends now. Reassure him that having backed different factions in the Kaliphlinite civil war changes nothing. He may count on our alliance and continued support of his resistance in Nocturnus." Mariana seems to be taking mental note of the instruction and nods. "It will be so. Lastly, I will send a messenger to our Lord Regents, Simon of Nalderic and de Gothia of Benoic, expressing our concerns on the current political situation in Avalonia." "I'd suggest we invite them here to discuss the situation in person, the matter being of a somewhat delicate nature…" Drake suggests. "Such will be our agreement. Mylady, you will see to the city, while Drake and I prepare to depart. I shall return to bid you farewell before I leave." ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Yet another build for the Aestwäld saga. This is mainly a story build, so forgive me the picture to text ratio - I simply had a lot of things to get done before Beorthan leaves the city to aid Alric. I hope my shameless namedropping will be forgiven - I plan to post builds with the messengers later. (Meaning that the implied VIP's will also see the exact messages sent to them from the Trifork.) C&C is, as always, more than welcome. This collab is turning out to be funnier than I expected!

The Aestwäld Saga 10 - Exercising the Diplomatic Muscle
Bregir posted a topic in Guilds of Historica
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3a Chapter 3b Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 As agreed with her husband, Lady Mariana of the Trifork has despatched emissaries to the most important diplomatic relations of the Trifork in order to solidify its position in the tumultuous times of current Historica. Riding fast towards Benoic, and later onwards towards Nalderic, this emissary is carrying two identical letters for the Lord Regents of Avalonia, de Gothia of Benoic and Simon of Nalderic. The letters read: To the Lord Regents of Avalonia, It is our hope that this message finds you well. First of all, we wish to reassure you of the continued and relentless support of the Trifork in furthering the well-being of Avalonia. However, we wish to express our concerns about the current political situation in our beloved Avalonia. Our fellow lords and ladies fought on different sides and are divided on the matter of Kaliphlin, and the tension amongst us is growing. We fear that this tension will lead to conflict and division, and feel that this risk must be addressed. Therefore, we wish to extend an invitation to the Trifork. My husband wishes to discuss the situation with you, and request your advice on how to best preserve the interests of Avalonia through the current crisis. Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Lord Mayor of the Trifork, Gatekeeper of the East and Captain of the Republic _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ En route to Nocturnus, Tauro and Bregir have now reached the outskirts of Cedrica, about to pass a guard post manned by the now somewhat redundant kings guard. They are carrying the following despatch: To Lord Vladivus Stormbringer, Captain of the Shadowmere Guard and the Moruth Rangers, and trusted friend of the Trifork, I write this letter on behalf of my dear husband. It has come to his attention that you backed different sides in the recent conflict in Kaliphlin, and he assures me how relieved he is not to have met you or your mighty armies in battle. He wishes to reaffirm his friendship to you, as well as reconfirm that the Trifork considers Shadowmere amongst its closest allies, and that you shall not stand alone in the looming civil war. In the event of a war, you may count on us to commit all available forces and the necessary resources to back your cause. Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Lord Mayor of the Trifork, Gatekeeper of the East and Captain of the Republic _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Galloping through the western deserts of Kaliphlin, one heading towards Mpya Stedor and the other towards the Nestlands, both strongholds of the High Council resistance. They carry a message for those still loyal to the Republic: To the High Councillors of the Kaliphlinite Republic, On behalf of Beorthan, Captain of the Republic and Lord Mayor of the Trifork. Through the recent conflict, the Trifork stood at your side through victory and hardship to the bitter end. The High Council can rest assured that the might and wealth of the Trifork will continue to support any decision you may take on Kaliphlinite matters. It is our hope that you will pass this message on amongst your allies. For the republic! Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Captain of the Republic, Gatekeeper of the East and Lord Mayor of the Trifork They further carry two addendums, one for the leaders of the Nestlands… To the leaders of the Cobalt Vale and the Nestlands, Your resistance to the attacks of the Desert King, both during and after the civil war is the stuff of legends. It occupied a significant part of the Desert King's forces, which significantly decreased the pressure on the rest of the High Council forces. This was true too for the Expeditionary forces of the Trifork, and for this, we are much obliged. Therefore, we hope to establish closer relations, starting with a trade agreement. The textile industry of the Trifork has a particular interest in the colourful minerals of the Nestlands, and we are willing to pay a good price in either gold or wares. Further, we shall open our markets to traders from the Nestlands, and hope you will do the same for us. Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Captain of the Republic, Gatekeeper of the East and Lord Mayor of the Trifork …and one for Lord Damaximus of Mpya Stedor. To Lord Damaximus of Stedor, After having had the honour of fighting alongside the forces of Mpya Stedor in the recent Kaliphlinite conflict, the Trifork wishes to solidify relations to Mpya Stedor to the benefit of both our cities. It is our hope that you will agree to a trade agreement allowing our traders mutual free trading rights. We are certain that this will bring great wealth to us both. Further, should the recent conflict have left you in need of further aid, you have but to ask, and the Trifork will do its best to assist. Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Captain of the Republic, Gatekeeper of the East and Lord Mayor of the Trifork _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The last of the messengers have taken the western route, heading towards Eastgate and Barqa. Camping in a ruin of an old manor, one of them have been cornered by a pair of werewolves of questionable affiliation. However, those werewolves are in for a surprise from above. Carrying the same message for the High Council as their colleagues, they too carry addendums, one for the MacLeans… To the honourable MacLeans of Eastgate and Easterbroke, We have been following the developments in Eastgate from before the civil war with great concern. Putting your differences aside to fight for the Republic was a most honourable deed, and Beorthan has been proud to fight at your side against the false sand king. Now that a truce has been agreed, the Trifork hopes to continue this alliance through trade. As you know, we are linked by the Red River, and the Trifork hopes that both Eastgate and Easterbroke will be interested in furthering the trade along this node. We are willing to commit patrol crafts to guard the traffic of the river, as well as to open our markets to your merchants and wares, and hope you will reciprocate this offer. Lastly, should we be able to offer anything in your efforts to rebuild Eastgate or Easterbroke, let us know, and we shall do our best to assist you. Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Captain of the Republic, Gatekeeper of the East and Lord Mayor of the Trifork …and one for Sir Gideon of Barqa. To Sir Gideon, representative for the city of Barqa in the Kaliphlin High Council, Honoured to have fought alongside the mighty Lord Gideon in the recent Kaliphlinite conflict, ser Beorthan wishes to reaffirm the friendship between Barqa of Kaliphlin and the Trifork of Avalonia. For a long time, traders from Barqa have been an important constituent in the markets of the Trifork, as has the caravans passing through our city towards Benoic and central Avalonia. It is our hope that we may strengthen this relationship, and therefore, on behalf of my husband, I extend a standing invitation for Lord Gideon or any of his representatives to visit the Trifork and discuss a treaty of friendship and trade between our cities. Mostly unscarred by the recent conflicts, the Trifork is further in a position to offer assistance, should Barqa want anything in your efforts to recover from war. Lady Mariana on behalf of Beorthan, Captain of the Republic, Gatekeeper of the East and Lord Mayor of the Trifork _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ C&C welcome - I hope you like these small builds, as they were quite fun to build. While this is not strictly related to the Aestwäld saga with TitusV, it follows naturally to one of my other builds of the Saga, which is why I titled it as belonging to the saga. I hope that those addressed above have no issue with being implicated, but as you are free to react as you wish, I decided not to ask first. I of course hope that: 1) No one feels forgotten. I have tried to include most of those who has had former interactions with the Trifork directly or through challenges etc. 2) This will spawn some reaction over time from some of you, but I also fully understand if time or priorities does not permit it. No pressure! 3) You don't mind the amount of text.- 9 replies
