Location: Marphacia Tags: Kawashita, Marphacia, Airplane, Spaceship, Military I think I may be getting noticed! During my tour on Sorn, I managed to locate a MANTIS convoy and wound up shooting down two planes and sinking a transport (all in fine style, of course!). Then Aera came in with her Hiryu and, well, there wasn’t much left. So it seems that things are improving… Now, I’m flying recon over Marphacia in a Zephyr interceptor. The Peregrine was a great ride with firepower, but this little puppy handles like nobody’s business! It may not be packing as much of a punch, but with twin phase pulse blasters and two 11-shot “Pepperbox” mini-missile launchers, I can hit pretty hard and then split in a hurry, calling in some bigger guns if needed. Now I just need to find some Bugs to swat! Marphacia. Primarily jungle and swamps. Hot, sticky, nasty. Man, God bless the drivers and explorers like Commander Turtle, Mister S, and Dragonfire. Why they would want to hike around in the mud and humidity while avoiding nasties that want to grab, slime, sting, and chomp a bite out of your bottom is beyond me. Nope. Give me the wide-open expanse of space or sky, the unrestricted freedom of flight. But, I will help those mud-marchers out as much as I can… All right! Kawashita really needs to address the issue of safety! These techs are unbelievable! They should know not to hit the suction function on the fuel cart when the hose is detached and there’s somebody near it! I mean, really? The fact that the guy nearly fell to the floor laughing didn’t help, either. This one was fun! I like the small, compact builds I’ve been seeing and decided to try another one myself. It is a rather simple build, but I like how it turned out. I’m really pleased with the missile launchers. They work better than I had hoped. Just wish I had a different color for the engine thrusters so that they would stand out more.

Location: A07, Lesser Direstan Tags: Kawashita, Spaceship, Airplane, Lesser Direstan Kawashita KS-78 Reppū (烈風, "Strong Gale") Technical Notes: Designed as an upgrade to the venerable Kawashita KS-47 Shōkaku (翔鶴, “Flying Crane”), the Kawashita KS-78 Reppū is a multi-purpose fighter escort capable of operating in all environments. Boasting a broader wingspan than its predecessor and making use of a pair of the new, more powerful KE-199 engines, the Reppū has more varied ordinance options, given more hard points. The fighter has additional storage space allows it to take part in reconnaissance and exploratory missions as well. The Reppū is fast becoming a favorite among Kawashita pilots. Still, there are adherents to the Shōkaku citing more nimble behavior in close-quarter dogfights. Aera’s Diary: We began arriving on Lesser Direstan a few days ago. Right away the planet struck me as unique with it red and white vegetation. It’s truly bizarre to be surrounded by bright red and slivers of white as far as the eye can see. We’ve mostly been on patrols and doing recon missions - getting eyes on new locations, escorting transport ships - these kinds of things. They say there’s a lot of alien activity here, but where we’ve been stationed I’ve yet to see anything. There’s reports of huge creatures that fly in the upper atmosphere. Dangerous as that sounds, that’s something I’d like to see with my own eyes. We came here with the new K78’s. I love this thing! Everything we’ve been asking for seems to have come through with this design. It’s rare as a pilot not to have to ask for many performance tweaks. Aki will be happy I’m off his case and he can focus simply on maintenance!! \(^-^)/ We’ll see how it holds up, but so far it’s a dream come true. I think Kai sleeps in his. I swear, I rarely see him out of its sight! Scramble alert! Seems a team got pinned down encountering aliens while out surveying and we are close enough to respond. Orders have come through to lay down some suppressing fire so they can get out of there. Guess I’ll be seeing some of this world’s alien life after all! Comments: My first MOC on these forums and my first build after quite a long hiatus from Lego. A bigger project than I anticipated, but I had an image in my head of what I wanted since I first started reading about AG last week, so I wanted to try and build it. Some things were challenging, but I had fun and I learned a lot. There’s still more to do and more that I had in mind, but I’m quickly running out of time. I’m rebuilding my Lego collection from scratch - slowly - so I’m starting with digital work. There’s been a learning curve, but thanks to some kind posters here I’m successfully able to render on my Mac. I did, however, run into a part error and it simply won’t render the part properly - it’s twisted and out of shape. Looks too weird to post that way. I need to troubleshoot. Could just be that part, or maybe a new version is out there somewhere. As a result, this week’s build needs to be shown as LDD screenshots. I’m really disappointed about that - I hope that’s ok! I didn’t wish to miss this week trying to fix it. This is still a WIP - until it isn’t - but it’s complete enough now to be my entry for this week. As there was a last minute sortie, I may put up some images showing the air-to-ground load out. I may also update with an image or two of a complimentary element of the scene I was originally going to do with this (but now being unable to render this week, I’m not sure about that). So stay tuned for possible tweaks and updates! Hope I did everything right and hope you enjoy. More images hidden behind the spoiler. ~ iku Kawashita!

Location: C04, Aeristus Tags: Kawashita, Spaceship, Airplane, Aeristus, C04 :: Start Transmission :: Commander Turtle: Aera? We're encountering tougher resistance than anticipated on Aeristus. Can the Murasame join us here? We could use the help! Aera Lure: I'll let Captain Voss know. Hopefully we can get there in time. :: End Transmission :: Murasame bridge Aera Lure: Captain. Commander Turtle has requested our assistance on Aeristus. Captain Voss: Hmm. Well we're in range and our current mission is not critical. Is your team ready for combat? Aera Lure: They are, sir. Captain Voss: Very well then. Aeristus it is! Get your pilots ready. Aera Lure: Yes sir! Murasame briefing room Aera Lure: You have all exceeded expectations in the training runs at The Fascini Cluster and have scored the highest among the other officers. You'll now be a member of my flight. Darek Tallus: Yes sir! Kari Sweet: Yes sir! Rei Kazama: [ yes sir! ] Aera Lure: ... Aera Lure: Ensign, why are you wearing your helmet to the briefing? Rei Kazama: [ The Shōkaku hit some pretty high Gs at Fascini so I thought I'd tighten my helmet strap, but now I can't get it off! Sir. ] Aera Lure: ... Aera Lure: What about your visor? Rei Kazama: [ Well, about that... ] Aera Lure: Ok, never mind, Ensign. Carry on! Rei Kazama: [ Yes sir! ] Kawashita KS-47 Shōkaku (翔鶴, “Flying Crane”) :: Aera's Diary :: 13 Julali 3815 1232 hours Having just completed a training mission in The Fascini Cluster, we were called in at the last minute to Aeristus to support the fighting there. The Murasame came into low orbit and I took my newly formed team on a flight patrol in the Shōkaku we used among the asteroids. M.A.N.T.I.S. is a tough opponent, so I hope they're ready. The Shōkaku's superior maneuverability may give them the edge they need. :: Technical Notes :: The Kawashita KS-47 Shōkaku (翔鶴, “Flying Crane”) is a long serving fighter in the Kawashita fleet. Originally meant as a replacement to the Flying Crane, the Kawashita KS-78 Reppū (烈風, "Strong Gale") developed instead into a heavier armed strike fighter. While the Strong Gale boasts more firepower and tougher armor, the Flying Crane still has the edge in maneuverability and is favored by some veteran pilots for one-on-one combat. The Flying Crane can still be seen on the front lines in most Kawashita air superiority missions. There is a rumor that a true successor to the Flying Crane is in development, but most consider it unlikely.

Location: Aeristus Tags: Kawashita, Aeristus, Airplane, Military Narbilu: Commander, welcome back to Orinshi. I’ll be heading out to Mynderis with Koro and the Terrestrials, but we have a situation at Aeristus. Commander Turtle: Yes, Sir? Narbilu: The Eastern continental shoreline is exposed, and we need someone to fly recon there. We have a Sky Eye ready to go with a specialist from the Engineering Network, but we need a pilot to fly it. Who do we have available there? Comander Turtle: The only pilot we currently have is, umm, Blackhawk, Sir. Narbilu: Oh. Really? What about Jycho Tyrus or Aera Lure? Comander Turtle: Jycho is inspecting water filtration facilities on the planet, and Aera is flying a combat air patrol. Would you like me to re-assign her? Narbilu: Hmmm… No, the patrol is too important. We can’t spare Aera. Comander Turtle: Well, Colonel Brik is due back here soon. If we push it, we can send him to Aeristus, although he probably won’t be too happy about it, and it’ll still take some time. Narbilu: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm… No, we need to get this going soon. The shoreline is too vulnerable to leave for long. Comander Turtle: Well, Sir, Blackhawk may be a bit overeager and accident prone, but he can handle a ship. He shot down two fighters and a transport on Sorn, and on Marphacia he bagged a recon unit. He should be fine once he’s in a cockpit. Narbilu: Okay. Send Blackhawk up. (shudder) Comander Turtle: I… understand, Sir… Woo hoo! The brass has an important mission, and I’M the one they picked to fly it! It goes to show how much confidence they have in my abilities! Let’s get this show in the air! So, this time it’s a Sky Eye, an AWAC and electronic warfare platform. Hey, at least it has missiles (who says EW planes have to be unarmed?). Got a systems specialist names Bard with me. He’s from the Broader Engineering Network of New Yelsian (also known as BENNY). Hope he can handle my moves! Looks like we found a bogey! Could be MANTIS. Oh, well, no time to worry about that. Fox two!!! Oh, and by the way, I think I managed to get through to the techs my… concerns. I shouldn’t have any problems with them again… So, this build started with me looking at one of the big dishes and wondering how I could use it... and I came up with the idea of an Airborne Warning And Control platform. I like the idea of arming it, as everyone expects EW planes to be unarmed... C & C's welcome and appreciated. Any ideas on how to improve would be gladly considered!

Location: A06 Guinevere Tags: Kawashita, Guinevere, Airplane What the heck is this? I'm supposed to be doing a recon patrol in this desert, but I don't even know what I'm looking for! M.A.N.T.I.S. forces? If I do run into Bugs, this crate doesn't have any weapons! What scrap pile did they pull this pathetic piece of crap from? The wing block looks like it came from another vehicle, and the engine bucks like a Direstanian kengerbeast. It quit on me once already, and I had to land to give it some "extreme maintainance" just to get it going again. I swear I still have grit in my underwear... Is this a practical joke? Part of the hazing process? Am I being "punk'd"? If Aera is behind this, I will SO graffiti her pretty little Reppu. It ain't funny! Oh, well. Gotta pay your dues, Rookie. Gotta pay your dues... F-550 FLIT-R (Fast Launch Individual Transport, class R) The F-550 was originally designed as a small aerial craft suitable for light duty tasks such as recon, scouting, and aerial surveying. Equipped with a DG-60T4 thrust unit, the craft had incredible acceleration for its size, which aided in its usefulness as well as its survivability. The addition of the modular wing block futher added to its mission profile, granting longer range and greater maneuverability. It also allowed the FLIT-R to perform other duties in customized variations, such as topographical scanning, electronic warfare, and even light air-to-ground attack capability. The F-550 was also popular in the civilian market, mostly appealing to the young adult crowd, who appreciated its high acceleration and speed. Several localities even tried to ban it, quoting its "obscene thrust-to-weight ratio". Still, it proved quite popular, and thousands were sold throuhout known space. Although no longer in production, the FLIT-R is still very common and can be seen in various conditions performing a wide range of missions. So, here's my first build for AG. It's also my first free build in, well, longer than I care to remember! I don't have a lot of bricks, which limits what I can do, but I wanted my first build to have my figure in it instead of going LDD. Still, it was fun, and I'm looking forward to doing more. Many thanks to Aera Lure, for providing technical support. I haven't done forums before, so Aera's help in this (and the photography) is much appreciated!!

Location: Sorn (B06) Tags: Kawashita, Airplane, Spaceship, Sorn, B06 Flying Dragon Aera’s Diary Junali 29, 3815 Sorn Second week on Sorn. Endless hours of sun dancing in the waves below. Days pass. Everything runs together. All I can see is blue and the constant flashes of light. I close my eyes and lie back in my bunk. I am still soaring over the water. Lips parched from the salt air I squeeze my bottle dry and throw it to the floor. We are stationed on some rock that’s not much different from the others I have flown over. There’s nothing here, but there is beauty in austerity. The sky meets the water someplace on an infinite horizon. Two lovers, arms outstretched, always just out of reach. The emptiness of this place fills your soul. I’ve felt a peace and tranquility here that I have rarely known. Between missions I lose myself in reports. My hands shake from the stims. Long hours spent on classified work and longer hours in the air searching for the enemy. I try to get some sleep. Feels like the first I have had in days. ::: Start transmission ::: Blackhawk: Aera? Aera do you copy? Aera: Blackhawk... Glad to have you here with us. You've been a great help! Blackhawk: It’s about time my luck has turned for the better. Ow! Aera: ??? Blackhawk: I hit my foot on the panel. Broke it when the torpedo fell on it during mission prep. Aera: ... Blackhawk: I’ve encountered a Mantis patrol and I’ve engaged them. I have things under control here, but I spotted their main convoy. I’m sending you the coordinates. Aera: Alright! I’ve got just the thing! Save some for me! Blackhawk: I don’t think that’s going to be a problem… ::: End transmission ::: My heart races as I run through the hall. This is what I'm here for. So many days of searching have come to an end. It's time to see what we are up against. I’ve given my team the Reppū fighters. We’ve brought the big guns to Sorn - the Hiryū! A heavy assault bomber, this thing means business and I aim to make good use of it! Kawashita KB-66 Hiryū (飛龍, "Flying Dragon”) Seen on the front lines of most Kawashita assault operations, the Flying Dragon is an anti-cruiser bomber that sees double duty as an air-to-ground platform planet side. Housing no less than 6 Kawashita KE-280 engines, the Flying Dragon earns it's title as one of the most powerful sub-cruiser class ships in Kawashita's service. Featuring 8 hardpoints, a large payload area, 2 double-barreled blasters, 2 disruptors, 2 nose-mounted cannons and 4 rear-facing gatlings there is little it cannot handle. Variable position wings give the Flying Dragon a mode each for bombing and strafing priority and it's heavy armor ensure it's survivability. Although improved in strafing mode, the turning radius is quite wide, giving rise to the running joke among Kawashita pilots: "Just point it in one direction and shoot. Nothing will remain in your way and won't need to turn!" The long-rumored KB-66C finally nears production and claims to improve maneuvarbility substantially, adding additional verniers on the wings as well as improving the engine timing software. Additionally, the KB-66C adds a second rear facing cockpit for a weapons master position. These improvements and others expect the Flying Dragon to continue it's place on the front lines of Kawashita service.

Location: Sorn Tags: Kawashita, Sorn, Airplane, Military Now THIS is what I’m talking about!! I finally got something worth flying! It even has weapons! I guess the donut I slipped on narbilu’s desk worked. Or maybe everyone got tired of my whining. Either way, who cares?! This Peregrine is a sweet ride! It’s usually meant for air-to-ground work, but as I’m on Sorn, it’s been armed for anti-sub action. That torpedo will leave a heck of a mark on something! Can’t wait to pop it off… She’s got speed, as well as VTOL and hovering abilities. The pivoting wings and wing mounted thrusters give it added maneuverability, letting it turn like a helicopter and dodge ground fire. Gotta get this baby prepped. I got a mission to scout for any M.A.N.T.I.S. forces on Sorn. If I find any, I get to hit them hard or call in Aera and her bomber if they’re too much to handle (Man, she ALWAYS gets the cool stuff!). Let’s go stomp some Bugs!! Loading the “fish”. Man, that puppy’s big! What’s with these techs? That’s live ordinance! And it kinda hurts! Oh, well. Cast or no cast, if I can still kick the rudder pedals, I can still fly! Time for some Bug hunting! This second build was interesting. Had an idea for a plane with pivoting wings, and I built the rest of the ship around that (and the cockpit…). I figured that it was meant to be a support craft, so it didn’t have to look pretty, but I think it has a mean look to it, so I’m pleased! I do have to watch for the situations I get into. Too many more and I’ll be known as “Bad Luck” Blackhawk…

This is my entry for the mini contest. The main function of this model is given by the two manual operated helices. It has an openable cabin too. I have modeled it on LDD and it uses 200 pieces that mostly came from a 9394 set with a few from 42006, 42022 and 42020. This is a LDD screenshot so you can see how it looks And this is the LDD file https://dl.dropboxus...chnic/Plane.lxf Following these links you will find some more photos of the real thing (sorry for the quality of them): https://dl.dropboxus...26-42_photo.jpg (lateral image) https://dl.dropboxus...-27-35_deco.jpg (above image) https://dl.dropboxus...-28-15_deco.jpg (front image) https://dl.dropboxus...-28-53_deco.jpg (bottom image) I hope you like it PD: I know it has some oddities like the steering wheel (the sports one should look _much_ better ) or the colors of some pieces but, unfortunately, this is the model I'm able to construct

Due to financial restrictions, I can't build real models as of yet, so LDD will have to do, I've made several things in the past but this is the first time I decided to showcase a model online Being an aviation fan, I decided to build an airliner using a combination of the big '<insert that tiresome argument>' parts for the cockpit and tail-cone and smaller parts for the wings and tailplane. It contains more details than you would get in a typical CITY set, it has obvious cockpit and passenger seating put it also contains separate first and economy (known as coach class in America), folding seat for a flight attendant, fully featured galley and a bathroom in the tail-cone (not pictured). Also not pictured is inverted roof pieces used to represent overhead compartments (although these make it difficult for minifigs to fit in comfortably) and clocks hanging from the ceiling in the aisle Constructive criticism is encouraged and accepted. 717.lxf

Hello I want to present my first "BIG" C-Model and one of my first MOC. It is a C-Model based on 42043 (Arocs Truck) I see that 80% of all MOC's are Cars so i decided to build an Transport Airplane. I used parts only from 42043 Set. About 60% of parts were used. The Model is 65cm long and 55cm wide. Features: - 2x Engine, 2 cylinder with rotating propeller powered by electric motor - can be swithed on/off via gearbox - Pneumatic folding front suspension - Pneumatic adjustable wing flaps - Pneumatic adjustable rear flap Thank You.

Hello everyone. This is my first post and this is a projekt I've been working a lot on the paste yea or so. I have only posted on the danish lug Byggepladen.dk, and I wanted to show the building progress to every other AFOL around the world instead of just danish members of Byggepladen. All of these next posts are copied directly into google translate so bear with me if there are some mistakes some places. I don't have the energy to translate walls of text just for this purpose. You can find my image gallery here You can find my youtube account with my airplane process - I plan on adding another video very soon, the plane is nearly done :DSo here goes.... (I realised just now that I cannot create a reply to my self but only edit. Be patient please. There are lots of stuff to come.) (My englih skills are also awesome if I have to say so my self, bear in mind that I'm still using google translate and fixing the most inconsistent words for better understanding)
