As a huge fan of raised baseplates, I think this looks absolutely great. A huge improvement to the castle.

LEGO in Denmark is so insanely expensive that I only ever buy it at 40-50 % (or more, if possible!) off. Except for maybe a collectible minifig here or there, or a vintage set. It is indeed dissapointing that even though it's manufactured here, we pay some of the highest prices in the world.

Great work! I myself have been wanting to do a Castle-fication of the Imperial Trading Post for as long as I have been an AFOL, but lack a proper baseplate for the build. Good to finally see something like that done.

Fantastic review with outstanding pictures. As for the set itself, I'm really more interested in the parts than in the actual set. I'll buy it only if it hits a nice sale.

Impressive review, must have taken quite a long time. Great work! The set itself, however... I vote "below average". Sure, it has some good figs - but that's pretty much all I think it has going for it. The set itself is some weird, scattered builds that aren't really all that impressive and doesn't give us a fullfilling structure but rather a part from a movie scene. Might just as well have been and old 'Studios' set. And the sticker sheets, oh the horrow... so many of them! Honestly, I think people are rating this set much higher than they normally would just because it's LOTR and they're happy to see these LOTR sets. If this was a Kingdoms set, people wouldn't be quite so impressed, I think. It's greatly overrated. But eh, that's just my opinion. And so far, it seems like I'm the only one having such an opinion.

Yes, but as I later said: those other figures does not interest me the slightest. You cannot compare such a random assortment of figures to one of these nice themed packages, imo. Exactly.

Thanks for the tip guys, but I'm not interested in those other figures... I don't "collect" CMFs per se, I just buy the ones that interest me in a Castle and/or Pirate setting. Also, I'm not a VIP member (and have in fact never bought anything from S&H).

Oh right, and we all know that businessmen all use walkie talkies. I don't get why they didn't just keep the drumstick from the CMF zombie, which worked quite fine. But eh, the important thing is the figure. And the figure does look quite nice.
