  1. Right! We really need to talk to TRU about banning those pesky kids from their stores!
  2. We need a proper Lego turtle. The end.
  3. If I were a marketing manager, I'd probably be doing some diligent research on whether or not girls would react more to contemporary sets or more period based stuff. Do girls want to play with figs doing active things like riding scooters or going to the fashion boutique, or would they be more impressed with Victorian era figs in fancy gowns and ballroom settings, things like that. Our girls are really into dress-up, and 'old-time' stuff... I bet TLG could really put together a nice line of period stuff, AND the fact that it's exclusive just to the girls' line would also compel adult collectors to give it a long, hard look.
  4. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that we're going to see something the week of March 21st through the 25th. Call it a hunch.
  5. Man, WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH I had that train!! Have to believe we'll soon see a train return to the holiday theme!!
  6. Could it be...? A way to finally connect my love of Lego with my daughters???
  7. Hello and welcome Black Llama... I'm not really that close to you, but in the greater scheme of Eurobricks we're practically neighbors. Hello and welcome to EB! Sounds like I'll see you around the Collectible Minifig threads!
  8. Question, WhiteFang-- actually two, on the hockey player: 1. Is that the same old traditional racing helmet that the facemask clips onto? and 2. How well can he hold the hockey stick with two hands? Judging by what I've seen, it almost appears too short-- does it look in proportion when he's holding it with both hands? Thanks!
  9. Would've been really sick if he came with a squishy little brain... and even better if the cranium opened up so you could pop it in there!!
  10. SUPERCOLOSSALAMAZINGAWESOME!!!! This series is hands down the best ever. Can't believe it's almost here... I want hockey players and plenty of them!!
  11. Wow-- ASTOUNDINGLY NICE little set. It's a real shame they didn't put this in the general release... I'd definitely have picked one up. Thanks for the review-- very nice photography
  12. Have to disagree, my friend. Aesthetically speaking, the blue and bley with gold accents is just beautiful. Throw in all of those beautiful armored knights and you can color me thoroughly impressed. Actually, we're polar opposites here-- if anything, I find the old Dragon Knights the least impressive. They're just kinda, I dunno, there.
  13. Yeah, I'm an idiot-- says it right up there in the title thread. I was doing so well with my Legomaniacal tendencies this year, too-- but I'm worried I'll have a serious relapse when Series 4 officially breaks...
  14. One question: HOW? HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW????!!!!!! HOW DID YOU GET THIS?
  15. Ha-- I thought this was about me for a second there! Nice design-- love the whitecaps on the breaking waves!
  16. Great review, Brickster-- I've ultimately decided to pass on this, but I love how TLG has offered a space shuttle in two very different price points. You have the $100USD set for the true collectors and AFOLS who are after a big and truer-to-size shuttle Lego experience. And then you have this, which is far more affordable to the cost-conscious enthusiasts as well as the kids and their parents. Either way, it gives people options, especially now that the 'shuttle' concept is going to be phased out of the space program. If I weren't trying to pull back on the Lego spending, I'd have probably went after this one!
  17. CopMike-- can I ask you a tiny little favor: Can I have every set you've ever gotten your hands on? K Thx
  18. Outstanding! Love the detail and personality of the whole cast of characters... Robin, Little John, Marian. Great stuff!
  19. Welcome to EB from a fellow American, ENeuman! That's some beautiful country you have out there in Wyoming!
  20. Hey Waffles... welcome. Why waffles? Making me hungry
  21. Hey Kieran2400-- welcome! Sounds like you have a very diverse interest in themes. Welcome back from the Dark Ages!
  22. The video certainly gives us a better look at the lumberjack and others... love the sideburns on 'the Detective.' Also, it'll be really interesting to see the template on the graduate's robes. They're certainly doing things with these figs that have never been done before. The army builder here is certainly the dwarf, but after everything I have to say, I think my favorite of the entire series 5 is the Eskimo. Just love him!
  23. No offense to 'nrg,' but this sounds a little fishy. Smells like Rumor-Mongering to me.
  24. From that angle, Hillside House seems to be a bit smaller than I expected. I like how they're continuing to add traditional houses to add to a city layout-- but at the same time it's cool to see them diversify this year, first with the smaller Log Cabin and next the amazing LightHouse. Personally I'm trying to decide what's my favorite 2011 set so far, and I think it's a toss-up between the Lighthouse and the Medieval Windmill set.
  25. I've kind of embraced the idea of having a smaller handful of mounted knights for each faction, and specifically one de facto knight who essentially becomes the champion of his faction. As it stands, every one of my factions has its champion except for the Dragon Knights, so this is a perfect fit for me, personally. That is, if you don't count the evil vampire dragon knight I put together with a little help from the Series 2 vampire, complete with his skeleton horse mount.
