  1. I'll agree with Holodoc here - I could never bear to do this to my modular street. But that said, I'm very impressed with the way you've managed to stick to the style of the originals and retain most of the interior, even adding some details, in the 16-wide versions. Very well done.
  2. Very realistic and delightfully crowded. Well done!
  3. You big tease.
  4. Funny to find this on the first page of the Town forum again :) Thanks a lot! The 16x32 footprint does make things a bit harder - but I like a challenge. Your minifig museum isn't too bad, either :) Let me know the next time you're putting it on show somewhere, I might just have to stop by and take a look at it... Thanks! And no, I'm sorry. "The building instructions" don't exist - if they did, I'd be more than willing to sell them to you :) I've been toying with the idea of making instructions for a couple of my MOCs, but that's a lot of work. So I'll have to wait until I have too much time on my hands... Thank you! It's fun to see how many people like the staircase. I've used the same design in another modular, a massive white bank building that I'm planning on sharing here soon, but I haven't got around to taking photos of it yet. Plus, I'm not sure I'm happy about the roof of that one - for some reason, my inspiration seems to run dry once I get past the second floor...
  5. I like your building style! But why so restrictive with the photos? I'd love to see more than one shot of each vehicle...
  6. I absolutely love it. This is a wonderful layout. I can only agree with sonicstarlight above: I can't wait for the actual photos!
  7. And I agree. They don't fit in at all.
  8. It looks much better and much less dull than I would have thought in grey. Good choice! So, how many colours have we seen now? The original is dark green, you've got a reddish brown and a light bluish grey one, there's a red one here, a black one with red wheels here, and my own Lime Light here. Have you seen any others? How nice it would be to see all of them together!
  9. Nowadays pretty much all minifigs have whites in their eyes - even the one in your avatar :) But then again, you might still dislike it! Got your point, though. Just nitpicking.
  10. I just finished mine. And if you think it looks big in the pictures, you really should see the thing up close. It's gigantic and in my collection the only items that challenges it for size are the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. It's 38 bricks tall (!) and has a footprint of 65 x 32 studs...
  11. This is lovely - as are all your designs. I should know as I've got a few of them myself :) And I'm a huge fan of your custom stickers. They look great. But what will you do next, now that you've completed your Texas State Railroad project? As far as I know, the vast majority of Lego train builders stick to 9v or PF...
  12. Well, as this has been bumped anyway I can't resist noting that as I'm writing this (well, not exactly at the same moment, naturally) I'm building my own version. The building instructions do have some flaws, but all in all it's a great-looking creation. Can't wait to finish it :)
  13. I do like the look of this. And it's probably going to end up on my shelf! But as a car nut, I really can't help but get annoyed by the spelling error in the topic title...
  14. Oops! I accidentally posted in the wrong topic. Sorry!
  15. Lovely. Probably not the sturdiest thing around, but looking really, really lovely.
  16. I've seen this, I think it was in Nannan's walkthrough from BrickFair, and I immediately liked it. There are some genuinely nice details here, like those books for roofs and the hair pieces for trees (which I've seen done before, but it still looks great). And the twister itself is fantastic, with all those items stuck to it. No criticism from me, that's for sure :) Well done!
  17. Really nice! I love the guitar, and the headset design is quite clever - as is the railing for the stairs. And I also had to smile at the 'POLICE' tile :) Those 1x1 plates on the exterior side wall are going to be very much in the way if you were planning on including it in a modular street, though, but as it doesn't have any connection points either I guess that's not going to happen.
  18. Brilliant idea. Looks stunning! Well done.
  19. That is impressively huge, and hugely impressive. I never cease to be amazed by people who dare to undertake such enormous projects. It might be better off in the Train Tech section, though :)
  20. I am no expert on RC versus PF, but I can answer one of your questions... ...because I asked the same question here a little while ago. You'll find several suggestions made by fellow Eurobrickers, but in the end I went with a polarity switch, and it now works just fine :) Good luck!
  21. I like this and I'm certainly going to get it as I've got all the other buildings in the series. As I don't want to spoil too much of the building fun I didn't look too closely at the pictures though :) I agree that they work well, but there are no (spindled) fence pieces in my White House set...
  22. Wow. You've done it again! I love how the facade gives an impression of three buildings while there are only two inside - many real-life buildings are exactly like that. Maybe there were three originally, but the interior has been refurbished and walls knocked down. And the interior! So many neat details: The photocopier, the lovely cabinet in the lawyer's office (those crates look like they were made for that use), the custom stickers and the elevator. Now, I'm a huge fan of stairs in modular buildings, but a very nice 'shortcut' is a space-saving elevator. And speaking of space: I'm amazed with the amount of details you've managed to put into the two top floors of the snackbar. By the way, it appears that your lawyers don't have skeletons in the closets. Instead, they've hidden them elsewhere :) And finally, while the buildings are great in their own right, your setup is just brilliant. And I love the river that runs underneath. I can't wait to see this in a bigger layout. I don my hat. This is amazing.
  23. I really like the way your buildings are instantly recognizable as Japanese. The shapes of those roofs aren't exactly Lego-friendly, but you pull it off beautifully. And the modularity of it all is also a very nice feature. Well done!
  24. As somebody else already said, it's a plate with clip light. It's quite easily visible in the third image from the bottom.
  25. No, I can't see them either. I thought maybe it was a browser-related issue, as I've only just switched to Firefox, so I tried with Explorer instead, but that didn't help.
