This atlantis set is probably one of the cheapest ways of getting the two sided heads Other than that i know castle has quite alot. Medieval Market Village has 3 double sided heads, 1 male and 2 females. Prison carriage rescue also has one which is pretty cheap

Thanks for the review whitefang ! There are a few really standout figs for me, the spartan, the surfer and the skier. I will hopefully get multiples of these (if they ever reach the uk!). Overall i think this series is better than the first one, though i dont feel the need to collect everyfig like i did with series 1. There are a few (traffic cop, ring leader, explorer, weightlifter) that i dont realy feel the need to get. That said i will probably end up buying them all when i find them!

It was posted on here a few months ago that 5% of lego income is from afols. So thats 1 adult for every 19 kids buying (or being bought) lego based on that. But as you metioned Adults have the ability to spend much more on lego which probably results in an even higher ratio of kids in relation to adults buying lego. As mentioned brickjournal is a great source of info for afols.

Great review, the figures look great. Instantly recognisable, both the characters and that they are made of lego. The instructions to build them all have been made available here

Great moc, the interior is brilliant ! The DJ booth and bar are done really well, and the safe and managers office are good small details to add. The one criticism i would have is the tan at the front, it makes it look like a boarded up building, and a nightclub thats been shut down is no fun Bet you cant wait for the Disco Stu minifig from the collectable series, he will fit right in ! Do you have any plans to make anymore modular buildings?

Does someone fancy convincing me to get drawbridge defence ? Its on amazon for 20 quid but im still not sure. The minifigs are nice but the set is pretty bare...
-
Glad i could help :) it was first mentioned on brickset, they have some pretty good links to sales every now and then. I was very tempted to get a set myself as it was so cheap. but I talked myself out of it. I dont own any star wars sets and im scared what will happen if i open that door lol!

squiz replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A scalper in essex is selling them for a fiver each. Rip off but maybe an indicater that they have reached here. Might go and have a quick look in tru today. -
I was tempted to buy three of these and then sell them on ebay but havent quite dared to yet! Would make a tidy profit even i just sold them at face value!
-
Just picked mine up, it was the same in southampton. The website had it down as £49.99 but the store checker had it at £54.99. i asked and they gave it to me for the lower price which is good! I echo dunjohns statement, pick it up before they fix it!
-
Thanks for the info, i was waiting to see whether they would drop it further, but if the price is going back up then i will go and pick it up tomorrow!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
squiz replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm quite excited about this news. Whilst its a shame that this means there (probably) wont be any 'classic' pirate lego for a while, the potential for parts, sets and minifigs in the POTC more than makes up for it (Dont forget you can always turn fleshies into yellow minifigs ) No idea what the new film is about so hard to comment on that sets and minifig wise. I know orlando bloom and kiera knightly arnt doing it so no Will or Elizabeth minifigs. I dont know whether they have the licence to the previous films but im assuming we will see sets from them. Was thinking about the possibilities for sets from the first 3 films, Quite alot of overlap between the three films in terms of characters and locations. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Sets Black Pearl Ship HMS Inteceptor Port Royale - Including Jail, Fort, Dock etc Tortuga Wills Blacksmith Swan Mansion Isla de Muerta Rum Island ( Where jack is marooned) could even include a turtle? Minifigs Jack Will Elizabeth Norrington Governor Swann Barbossa Gibbs Raggeti and Pintel (one whose eye keeps popping out) Lots of skeletons for black pearl crew Couple of hapless Red coat guards! Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Sets Flying Dutchman Tribal Island ( similar in style to the islander sets!) Tia Dalmas Shack Digging up the deadmans chest Kracken Attacking (again, but bigger!) Minifigs Davy Jones Davy Jones Crew Bootstrap Bill Tia Dalma Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Sets Shipwreck Cove Brethren court Sao Feng's ship East india trading company HQ? Minifigs Pirate Lords ? Sao Feng +crew ? Cutler Beckett ? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

They are reduced in argos as well to £1.50!! My local ones are all out but you could score a bargain! @ Jamtf - ancient warrior was tactfully put lol ! -
Just went on a lego hunt and thought i would report back. Disney stores seem to be out of the PoP sets which is a shame, i was hoping to get the two big sets. Tried the one in Southampton and Bluewater and both out. Argos has battle of alamut for 49.99 which is pretty good, but might risk it to see if its reduced further. Rest of the argos clearances can be seen here Tesco had 25% off a few selected sets. Standout set was the 8061 Gateway of the Squid for £18.99. Not sure if this is nationwide, only saw it in the ipswich tesco. Bluewater lego store had the 10196: Grand Carousel for £125 reduced from £179.99 which seemed like a good saving.
