Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I was pretty sure she was shown blocking damage at some point. I can only tell you what happened. I protected Ysp the first day and she wasn't attacked. I got the result, I don't know why it wasn't shown if my earlier theory about that isn't why. I'm not the one running this show, the veterans are. There's a flaw in your theory somewhere. I'm obviously not privvy to all your information, so it you're not evil, you're just plain wrong about something. I'm inclined to believe that you're evil. It makes things simpler.- 343 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three

Brienne was also "covering" someone that day and was not seen in the conclusion. My guess is that it isn't shown unless the target is attacked. Because I did use my cover ability.- 343 replies

And I was protecting someone Day One. I never lied about that. I don't even have a handcannon. Such modern weapons go against the simple bliss that is nature.- 343 replies

Huh. I was wrong. Wasn't expecting that. I don't see how this affects Doggy, though. He still had information he shouldn't have. It just means his accomplice wasn't Shane. -

I'm not surprised, Calico. I speak out against you and suddenly I must be scum. Hmm... I wonder who could have a handcannon. I wonder if you would be going along with the flow, fellow ranger, if you didn't already know that your evil friend would vouch for you.- 343 replies

"Kill the remaining mages"? Where does that sort of thing end? With the evil overpowering us. I can tell which way the wind is blowing. I will provide cover for myself. Fellow ranged classes, don't be fooled. We're next on her agenda. No reasoning will dissuade them. In a situation that's amazingly transparent and the evil have few places to hide, we have been told that mass executions is the best way to solve our problems instead of rational thinking.- 343 replies

Mafia After Dark - Day 3: 25th Hour
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
And that's why I never cross streets. Or read newspapers. If my sister's tale is true, then it would seem to indicate Doggy's scumminess regardless of whether it was Shane or the mystery person that was also scum (though I'd lean toward Shane still being it). I'd be down with that lynch, then. I already explained the "soft finger". It wasn't an attempt at appearing helpful, it was voicing my suspicion. That's what every one of us should do at the very least. I also made it clear that I was basing it off of mostly nothing, so I didn't feel comfortable with a vote at the time. Last whatever-the-last-period-of-time was, the behavior of Shane's that was giving me that funny feeling seemed to still be present, so I placed my vote. After he was dead (or undead-ified?!), I didn't remove my vote because I didn't feel enthused about any other lynch candidate and it my vote wouldn't have changed anything that late in the day. If it has nothing to do with Shane, what else is giving you the heebie jeebies about me? -

That's not a bad idea, either. It'll be tonight when we know for sure about Shane one way or the other. Might as well know someone he'd be sure to associate with as well. -
Mafia After Dark - Night 2: Mean Streets
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That was trippy. I certainly did not expect that to happen. If I'd known some weird zombie thing was going to chop him up, I would have held off on my vote a bit. But since zombies beget more zombies, I'm willing to let my vote ride just in case an undead Shane proves to be as suspicious as a not-dead one. Priscilla, I explained my initial suspicions and why I didn't act on them yesterday. And I'm sorry that I've been distracted today. That ostrich being so freakily familiar with his accusing eyes is not something that I anticipated. Out of curiosity, are you more or less suspicious of me since the person I believed to be scummy is now dead? And how exactly would I have any more information about such a thing than anyone else? If anything it stinks of a frame job to me. And a lazy one at that. -

I know that it's hard to defend against, Shane. You haven't slipped up as a scum, I just see things the way I see them. Vote: Shane Donalds (Shadows) -

Sorry, I've been really freaked out by that ostrich all day. It keeps staring at me with those eyes... those eyes that look like... Billy's.... Anyway, yes, I'm still suspicious of Shane. I still have nothing to back that up, though. Just a general uneasiness about the way he talks. Everything he says seems to feel rehearsed. Like he's trying act exactly like he would if. He were a townie. If this feeling remains, I may pllace my vote that way later. I don't really get what the other votes are about right now, either. I know the reasons being given for them but none seem to stand out enough to me right now. Maybe it's just that I can't concentrate with those accusing ostrich eyes staring into my soul, though. -
Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Two
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Maybe I'm just to trusting. I hadn't even thought about action changing being a possibility since everything would be public. Perhaps "cover" will only be shown if that protection is needed. I did not cover Piro during the night, either.- 510 replies

So much to listen to. Everyone should have seen me providing cover yesterday. I could not have shot anyone. I also provided cover last night. It appears that elemental usages should give us a pretty good idea of who is shooting whom. I'm curious to hear more squirming from the magically inclined to explain away these attacks.- 510 replies

Ah! Ostrich!!! Run for your lives!!! I don't know how anyone could have known if Donny was special or not just from the conversation yesterday, so I'm inclined to believe that they didn't know. Nor do we really know if he was special. Overall, I think we don't have enough information about this to say for sure who killed him. Maybe once a pattern emerges, it'll be more obvious. The kill method seems SKish to me but who knows. -
I don't think so. Monster Fighters is discussed in the Action Theme forum.

I believe you posted in the wrong thread about this. Don't know where you meant to put it, so I'll leave it for now.

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day One
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I suppose that the evil doers might try covertly attacking. There are plenty of people that have not publicly declared an action. I will provide Retak Ysp with some Cover. I'd also like to say that I'm not opposed to the gremlin being taken down. We will have questions about him as long as he lives. We'd at least know one way or the other.- 630 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day One
CorneliusMurdock replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Abilities being related to our class talents makes keeping them secret harder. Surely the evil that lurks among us would have enough of a variety of classes to figure out which base class does what and extrapolate most of the advanced classes. Also if the ability were used during the day, it would be fairly obvious who can do what. Perhaps using our most powerful abilities should be done at only at night, in order that they may remain a mystery longer.- 630 replies

Mafia After Dark - Night 1: The Godfather
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
My thoughts before the end of the night. No one's been particularly quiet. Not particularly helpful either but being the first day, that's to be expected. I think there was some planting of confusion seeds by people equating a first day lynch with a "policy lynch" or randomness. I think there are definitely some logical fallacies going around. That reminds me, I should really find the helmet to this suit so I don't have to breathe the same air as those contaminated. I'd hate to come down with a case of the stupids at such a critical time. The biggest thing that an agrument against first day lynches does is cause no one to want to vote. So then all that happens is first day fluff. What will we have tomorrow? No more information than we have today but with a few dead Malones. Especially in this open format, we need to be proactive. My biggest suspicion right now is Shane. I think it's very possible that he's an italian sports car in disguise. I don't have any evidence so I don't feel a vote is justified in his case, but I probably trust him less right now than anyone else. We need to do better tomorrow or we'll all be dead fairly quickly. I don't know about you guys but I'd like to remain above ground for the forseeable future. -

Only if you dealt the final blow. Stealing, you were guaranteed an item. And I don't think scum would want to draw first blood. I'm not saying either of you are definitely evil, just that your actions make me suspicious of you.- 630 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day One

This has been a lot to process and you beings seem to talk a lot, but I think I'm caught up. If the poet has a glass already, there's the redundancy the plan needs. He can start where he is on the list and The person purchasing the new glass can start where they are. As long as the poet agrees to pass the glass... As for any holes, the best of plans does not survive contact with an enemy. But I believe it is the best so far. How do we know those stealing from the gremlin weren't merely looking for an excuse to keep items for the evil cause? I think stealing should be kept to a minimum for now. A being may only use one item at a time. Best not to overload anyone at this point.- 630 replies

CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
My plan was to try to get everyone to at least talk a bit. You already poo-poo'd that notion saying we'd get nothing from it. But what does it hurt anyone. No one is advocating a random lynch. That would be crazy. And turning off the lights and someone dying is what's going to happen when the scum get their turn tonight but that won't be random. One of us, a townie, is gaurenteed to die. We try to gather information, let everyone vote for who they think is most suspicious. There's at least a chance scum'll fall. We don't get a chance for that otherwise. If you don't want to vote, don't. No one is forcing you. Just like you can't force others to do nothing. In the mean time, if any of you hasn't been real talkative today, get talkin'. It's your life people but we need to get a feel for you or you're probably not going to be feeling much any more. Even if we don't vote out a quiet one, who do you think a possible SK is gonna go after? Someone they think we won't miss.
