Heroica RPG - Quest #65: Breaking Down the Door
CorneliusMurdock replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Hello, Cronk's angel! Don't hold back, friends! Cronk will attempt to bash Mountain Dragonling from front row twice with Twin Broadswords. Dyric, please repeat attack on tundra dragonling. Same battle order. -
Exactly. I'm not a fan of the Fields in general since I feel like they go against the storytelling aspect of Heroica that makes it better then playing World of Warcraft. Adding gold farming to the Fields breaks them, especially if the QM running them is running the battles quickly. If a change is implemented for rogues, the Fields should not be an exception to it.

There have been some terrible movies that have gotten sequels. It would, of course, have a drastically reduced budget compared to this one but it's happened before. Not saying that it's likely to happen. Disney has much safer bets as far as IPs go right now. I was thinking of ordering the Colby City Showdown but I'm wondering if waiting a little bit will save me some money. I'm not sure if I have that kind of patience.

I never held out much hope for the movie but these sets really stand on their own, much more so than PoP. I think they still might appeal enough to the general market even if the movie loses money. I wouldn't mind finding some of these on sale but I also wouldn't mind TLG producing more if the film were successful enough for a sequel.

Really, a character should never able to afford everything they want. Starvation is a great motivator. The Fields have enough of their own rewards anyway. They shouldn't be a way to get rich quick on top of that. The swift exp gain is already a lot.

Cronk begs Nerwen's pardon... Cronk supposes that Cronk will bash Marsh Dragonling from back row. Dyric, repeat attack! Same battle order. -

Should Cronk heal Cronk or can Nerwen spare a moment? Also should Cronk stay in back row this round? -

Since Cronk will be first in order, Cronk will bash the Marsh Dragonling from front row. Order: Cronk Xander Nerwen Dyric OoC: I'll be traveling today for vacation and may not be able to get online the rest of the day. Depends on wi-fi availability. Chromeknight can take charge. -

Attacking mountain dragonling is too dangerous. Cronk can counterstrike it in four rounds. Cronk will need to heal self in that time but it is doable. Dyric can assassinate any of the dragonlings (or briefly KO) but party should try to keep Ecatsue alive. If friends can carefully get Ecatsue to low enough health, Cronk might be able to knock man-dragon out with countering. What does Nerwen think? -
If anyone had motorized it, it would be in Licensed Themes. Which is where a topic like this belongs if it belongs anywhere. So that's where I'm moving it. Honestly, not having the set, I don't know if the PF train motor would work inside it. You'd probably have to motorize it another way. Not impossible but it would require some ingenuity.

Friends will try to help little dragons with containment. A lot of good beings live in building, it would be shame if Inn burnt down. As friend Nerwen said, party can heal as well. If Ecatsue thinks that party can make transition smoother let friends know how. Party will stay. -
Dyric's overdramatic tone must have gotten to him. I think it's hilarious that Dyric wants to go stop a panic that he started. Did he think this was how it was going to go down: Dyric: Hi, Mr. Greely. Would it be okay if the man in the penthouse pays next week? He's sort of busy transforming into a dragon right now. Oh, and he might have incinerated Mr. Krook by accident earlier. He's really sorry, though. Greely: He sounds like a pleasant enough fellow and not dangerous at all. Tell him that he can take his time with the rent. It's only money anyway.

Oh, is there a man transforming into a dragon down there, too? Cronk thinks safest thing at this point is for other guests to evacuate building anyway. Any with sense will do just that. Cronk thinks best way to help is containing dragon. If Dyric wants to oversee evacuation, Dyric can but Cronk plans on staying here for time being. -
Zepher is absolutely right about the hidden cost of changing class. When Cronk goes Minstrel he'll need all new weapons and some different artifacts. His most expensive and upgraded items will be unusable. It'll be awhile before his equipment is back up to snuff.

Dyric, Cronk thinks all friends should stay here for now. If dragon loses control party will need to be at full strength to contain destruction. Cronk does not see how situation with Greely that Dyric created would require that strength instead. -

Even if Krook's death was accident, how does Ecatsue intend to make things right? And how is Ecatsue sure that Inn or indeed Eubric will remain standing through transformation process if Ecatsue was not able to control fire then? Does Ecatsue see the problem? -

Trust to dragon?! Dyric, Ecatsue killed Krook simply because landlord was in way. This has become about more than simply rent. Cronk is unsure of what to do but Cronk is sure that trusting the dragon to do right thing is probably not best course of action. Ecatsue! Cronk understands pain of loss. Of losing self. But that does not excuse Ecatsue's actions. If Ecatsue had sought help, Cronk knows Cronk would have. Krook, by most accounts, was a gentle and kind man. Krook did not deserve a firey death any more than Ecatsue deserved witch's curse. How does Ecatsue hope to make this right? -
This thread is for discussing game mechanics. Scuba's complaints about the gloves are a lot more relevant than some other things that have gone on here. Even when you don't agree with someone, there's no need for the attitude. Play nice.

Why does everyone think Cronk is stupid? I'm not saying he's a rocket scientist or anything but I don't think I play him as stupid. WBD, great plot twist by the way. Before Posades' post I hadn't even considered that Ecatsue was the dragon in the story. Do you plan on us knowing who the man is?

Heroica RPG - Quest #65: Breaking Down the Door
CorneliusMurdock replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
This was not part of understanding, Ecatsue. Did Ecatsue ever plan on paying rent or was leveling inn Ecatsue's way of handling back rent? And what of Krook, did Ecatsue have anything to do with Krook's death? Cronk felt bad when Cronk heard Ecatsue's story. But Ecatsue could have handled situation better, not caused damage and death that Ecatsue is about to cause. -
I always wondered what was in that ooze Playmates made. Seemed to stain anything it touched. Even more toxic-looking than the ectoplasm that came with the Ghostbusters... TLG seems a bit more responsible about putting things like that in the hands of children. Can you imagine the warnings that they'd plaster the boxes with?

Cronk agrees. If party can help Ecatsue, great. But Ecatsue did not seem willing to accept help that Cronk offered. Perhaps if Dyric took up negotiations as party leader... -
I was going to but I think Si-MOCs beat me to it.

Nerwen, Ecatsue said each dragon could heat a room in winter. That power combined might do some damage. Or it is possible that Ecatsue is well versed in fire magic. Ecatsue does seem to have knowledge of alchemy... At very least, Ecatsue does not seem to care about paying rent so friends must resolve that situation. What do friends think party should do about it? -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I don't intend on buying a finished one, though I'm sure there are some good ones out there if I'm willing to pay. I plan on trying my hand at decaling soon. If I get good enough at it, I may look into getting a good decal for a Lantern or two. I'd rather that TLG recognizes that fans want an official fig and only have to fill out supporting cast myself as necessary. I can accept that TLG will never make an official set of Wonder Twins but I do expect a Lantern or two. And Flash.
