Hello, Candy! Whatcha doin'? Hangin' around, being scummy? -
Mafia After Dark - Day 5: Scarface
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I see Candy came and went without adding anything. Giving up already, scum? I'd love to hear another scary tale about serial killers. As I pointed out before, whether Terrence is telling the truth or not, it still gives us some information. The concentration of scum in people not on the list should be about the same regardless. If someone does get to ask another question, I hope they come up with something that's a little more clearly worded that might look at this from a different angle instead of rehashing the previous question. -

Maybe the scum aren't going to kill me today. Maybe they're just going to try to discredit me. It's so nice of Candy to suddenly start participating even though what she says is extra scummy. I never ever promised not to kill yesterday. I offered it up as a suggestion but was not taken up on it. Go back over the day, Candy, and inform us all where I solemnly swore not to kill anyone. I explained my kills. They weren't random. Do you have a problem with any of the kills I've made? I was obviously wrong about Shane and Adelaide. But I believed them both to be scum. Granted Shane was more of a stretch than Adelaide. It's possible that I'll just never trust someone like Shane ever again and my judgment was clouded by that. Do you really think a serial killer would go after Shane so early in the game with his history? No, they'd go after someone that would be more likely to be unwatched and unprotected. As soon as a serial killer is found out, they're pretty much dead and it's in their best interest to remain in the shadows. I've been leaning town on Terrence. But really, buddy, why would a Serial Killer be trying to help the town all game? Goodness of his heart? And here's this: there was no zombie kill Night 1. SK's are compelled to kill every chance they can get. Either you're in on the smear campaign or you're easily swayed by a crappy argument. The scum will be trying to focus attention anywhere they can but themselves. Claiming there's a neutral and trying to make them sound really dangerous is a distraction. Even if we were right about both Dexter and Rolfie, this is still really close. I invite everyone to work the numbers for themselves. -

I said I could stay home and asked for opinions about that. The opinions I received from the more reliable people here said to try and kill the scum. If anyone doubted that I was the zombie, they didn't mention it. I can see why you might be upset, Candy. I'm sure Rolfie was a good scum buddy. My deepest condolences. Is there somewhere we should all send flowers? You're trying to spread doubt about me. Why? -

I'm guessing he'll ask us a riddle later. Maybe the hippy had a cousin or something. Certainly doesn't run very fast. -

I haven't received anything saying that I was slineced. Odd. But if we're right about silencing coming with blocking, they wouldn't block me if they mean to kill me. And to that I say, "Meh". -

Hey, Pete. Nice to see you again. See Rolfie? That might've been you. Got anything to talk about? -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I figured we had enough suspects that seemed scummy enough. If for some reason Dexter turns up town, it should give us some breathing room. Rolfie really didn't want us to look at the people that weren't on Terrence's list. I figured whether Terrence was telling the truth or not, the people not on the list were more likely to be scum. If he was telling then the truth the odds that had been pointed out were correct, if he wasn't and was therefore scum himself, he was trying to make us scrutinize the listed people. -

I don't see how that's a clear lynch. Dad's not the only one that is voting for you nor has he been insistent that you be the one we vote for above everyone else. Your logic that either you or him must be scum just doesn't work. Really, though, even if what dear old dad says isn't true and the investigator is vulnerable, it still wouldn't be a bad idea for him or her to come forward now. Let's assume 4 or 5 scum. There are 11 of us right now. Do the math. Tomorrow, the most we'll have alive is 9 and it's probable only 8. If we cannot start picking off the scum, we're toast. You must have a few results by now and even a couple of results on those alive today would be extremely beneficial in pointing us the right way. And if my sister is being truthful and we have a protector still, I'd think you'd have priority. We have some good leads, yes, but actual results would be really awesome right now. -

How's about you say something? As dad said, it seems rude to chuck you into the lynch rope when it seems you've just gotten here, but I feel like we're at a disadvantage in that you know us but we don't know you. I don't like that feeling. You should have had a bit of time to catch up by now. What are you thinking? Who are you most suspicious of? What's your favorite color? Who's funnier, me or dad? -

It's like they don't realize that he's already convicted. We only needed 6, and if we really wanted to, I could use my secret vote as well to make it 7. -

It's not so much cockiness but rather that I do feel bad for you. It was a decent plan. I was already suspicious and you wanted Patricia gone. You thought you could just shift the blame to an already shifty character and kill two birds with one stone, almost literally. Except I'm not a bird. What do you mean "if" I'm the vig? You just said you believed me. Something change in the hour since you said that? I know the scum team is disappointed. They'll have a chance to correct their miscalculation when they try to kill me soon. Again, best of luck. -

Yeah, I know how sad you are that you can't pin Patricia's death on me. I would be pretty bummed, too, if a plan had backfired on me like that. Better luck next time. -
Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Four

Because those townies had the audacity to not agree with Kharblis. I know you're thinking of Maxi specifically. They definitely won't want him back especially when he's proven loyal and Brienne is proven scum. I wonder what excuse they'll use. For their sake, it had better be a good one when both Maxi and I are vindicated. -

I would think talking to shit would be covered in Psychology... Does it talk back? Kadabra, the difference between Liberal Arts majors and everyone else is that everyone else will eventually have jobs. But going to college is totally worth it. Where else can you saddle yourself with so much debt that you'll be paying it off well in your retirement and yet people still see it as normal and won't hold some kind of intervention? -

Seems to me, Pete, that since you were giving opinions on everyone, you had to say something about Candy. Since she's obviously scummy, you couldn't say she seemed town without looking suspicious so you parroted what others said about her. But you also didn't have the guts to put one of your teammates in your list. So you put two people that you "lean on" without really elaborating on your list instead of someone whose behavior you admitted seemed really scummy. -

They really do teach some amazing things in college these days. An important point for everyone to remember that this is a game and we should be careful to keep all fighting in character. Now let's all play nice and get back to the business of killing each other. -

Proper etiquette requires that you go beforehand in a paper sack and deposit it on someone's doorstep set aflame. Wouldn't want to do it wrong and offend somebody. Vote: Dexter (def) I'll wait a few hours before submitting anything. Those not napping can have some time to discuss matters. -

Well, that's good news, if not a bit confusing. But gift horses shouldn't go to the dentist, as they say. I do think that if Dad is telling the truth about the crystal ball (I'm still confused as to how he received the question as an option at first when I didn't), it's fairly likely Dex has the hardhat. So if we want to be rid of him today, we'd have to lynch him. -

I'm fine with not killing anybody if that's what most of the more reliable people think. If I should kill someone, though, I'd like to know soon. I'd rather not leave Tam waiting too long and bring about his wrath. So if it's not too much trouble, I think I'd like to poll the audience (since I won't be allowed to phone a friend.): If everyone could give their opinion and let me know where I stand here. I understand the numbers are probably close and would rather not be the cause of our downfall. On the other hand, a scum getting offed would put things more in our favor but we'd want to be pretty sure. -

I did apologize for that earlier and I remember someone oinking. How am I doing now? Honestly, though, I don't think this has been your best game either. So I guess we can just move on now? Aw, now I'll never be mayor. -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It'd be easy enough for the vig to come forward if it wasn't me. Why would I make such a bold claim? I could also prove it by revealing my target early. It's been pointed out that the scum may have a way to prevent it in that case. I could promise not to kill tonight and then you'd know as well. Of course, that wastes an opportunity if we have a good suspect. Oh, or how about this: "Urgharghunnh!" See! I sound just like him. Pete, about your list, why isn't Candy in your top three? You said for Cebastian and Terrence that you "lean on" them. You didn't even give each a full paragraph like you did for Candy. Why are you less suspicious of Candy than the other two? -
Mafia After Dark - Night 4: Pulp Fiction
CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, I suppose it might not be obvious to everyone, but how likely is it that there are two killers and neither is town aligned? I tried to be as responsible as possible with my action. Who do you think a SK would have gone after? -

CorneliusMurdock replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Even if we believe Terrence to be telling the truth, I don't think anyone besides yourself would think you're in the clear, 5-0. I think we have better leads than voting off someone just to test out your theory. Though it is likely that we'll be getting rid of at least one person from your list today. Oh, hey Pete. You want to talk about odd behavior, let's talk about someone lurking all the time and when he pops in, his list of suspects includes just about everybody. Covering your bases?
