  1. I'd say it would be dependent on what kind of contract Lego has with WB to make toys for that movie. It's possible that Lego is only contracted for the first release and thus whatever sets were annouced would be it, but it could be that they are in for both parts of the movie. In the latter case, Lego should already have enough of the process in motion that they can have something to coincide with the 2011 release.
  2. Understandably short on content since it's mainly PoP and games as the new items. Just wait until Summer and Fall though...holy moley it's going to be nuts.
  3. Yes, I suppose if history is the guide then SPIII is probably done this year. I do hope they keep the interesting alien minifigs though. They are interesting and cleverly done.
  4. I'm not sure what kind of display setting I'd use this guy for--maybe I will just have a bizarre town with a bunch of clowns, cavemen, and pro wrestler weirdos!
  5. Cool! Thanks for the review. I guess if you got several of these, you can make your own pro wrestling ring and have them do the Battle Royal thing! He could also be a superhero, or a circus/amusement park performer if you like.
  6. I like the bi-plane more as I feel it is a better designed model than the fighter plane, which seems a bit too blocky and out of scale in comparison. In the "real" world, the fighter plane would smoke the bi-plane of course, but in this case, this is Indy's plane and he can do no wrong!
  7. You mean the new Kingdoms sets? I believe these were slated for August.
  8. UPS Truck needs a FedEx competitor! I didn't see earlier in the thread, but were you planning to actually build interiors for all those floors in the skyscraper?? :skull:
  9. Where did you read that Space Police III was ending? I don't think the future of this particular series was mentioned yet. I was thinking we'd know for sure the second half of the year...?
  10. I do hope people are buying sets with the intent to build and enjoy them, and not to sit on in hopes of selling later at a profit. Of course, you can do whatever you want with your money, but IMO, these are ultimately toys that are meant to be played or displayed!
  11. My AT-TE arrived today!
  12. Very nice! June seems like a while off, but it's just a couple more months before the influx of new sets and products. Thanks for the early previews!
  13. Jack Bricker on the previous page says he got a shipping confirmation, so apparently some orders did squeak through. Check your emails or your order status on TRU.com--perhaps you were also one of the fortunate ones to get shipped a little early!
  14. They have harvesters and tractors--they need a self-propelled plow! But it seems like most if not all the current farm sets are relegated to being store exclusives (TRU, S@H), so maybe this isn't going to last too long?
  15. Hm, looks like TRU.com temporarily pulled the listings for Lego Prince of Persia sets (except Ostrich Race, but that one is not orderable either). I guess they were scolded for breaking the street date...only S@H is "officially" allowed to sell these earlier than April 1st, I guess!
  16. Thanks for the link for S@H! I'm not sure whether to pick up sets from there (code B058 will get you $5 off $20 currently), buy in-store next month for double VIP points, or try to get from Borders with Rewards discount.
  17. Wow, very cool! I don't remember seeing this set 8080 at the recent Toy Fairs, is this Europe only, or a store exclusive?
  18. Nice to see new pics! Still only interested in Grievous' ship and Slave 1. I don't mind tweaks since I don't have any of the earlier versions.
  19. I became a Pirate fan after visiting boards like this one and seeing everyone's creations and reading their enthusiasm! I recently renewed my interest in Legos as an adult. I was mostly interested in Lego City at first, but I've grown to appreciate just about all the Lego themes since then.
  20. Unfortunately, MMV is part of the Castle line, which is going to be replaced by Kingdoms. Of course, they could always re-release it under another Theme name...
  21. I think that's actually lucky! You can call LEGO for a replacement fig, but Glaciator is common to multiple sets, where IIRC, Sulfurix is currently only in 1 set?
  22. I wouldn't call it cliche, old hat, or tiresome at all. The medieval/fantasy theme is timeless and will always have a following as there's definitely a lure with knights, castles, dragons, trolls, wizards and the like. Lots of play possibilities and imaginative stories to tell with this genre, although I can understand sometimes one needs a break from being absorbed in any one thing.
  23. Thanks for the review! I definitely want this set...love the dual katana holder and ostriches!
  24. That's a pretty strict street date! I guess because it's a movie license. :p I may pop by my TRU just for giggles, though.
  25. Taj Mahal was added to the "Sales and Deals" section of the Lego S@H site. $249.99. :p
