  1. Wow, great work! I'm going to get me one GE one of these days, lol.
  2. I found a lone Coast Guard Patrol Boat and Tower at my local Walmart this morning on clearance for $17. I'm very grateful since I missed the set before it went OOP, and was not willing to pay grey market prices for it.
  3. Must restrain myself from ordering Battle of Alamut right away...must wait...until movie...comes...out...at least...
  4. I dunno why I thought it was motorized. Ah well, apolgies, I stand corrected.
  5. Wow, that was fast. So much for the "email notification" system. :p
  6. I hope the new AT-AT has a sturdier walking functionality. The current one is good, but still a bit too wobbly, IMO.
  7. I really want the garbage and pizza trucks now. :p
  8. But Castle continues on as Kingdoms, doesn't it? Kingdom of the Elves?
  9. I'm pretty excited for these. Can't wait for summer, but then again, sooo many new sets and too little $$$.
  10. Picked up a Space Police Galactic Enforcer today. It was on clearance for $40 US.
  11. So how many more Grand Emporiums are you going to end up with when all is said and done?? :skull:
  12. Aw, it's sad that the parts quality is so off...it makes me wonder what it will look like after a few years' exposure to artifical lighting.
  13. Good to know about the manufacturing misconceptions! Hm I wonder if my local Lego store has any Max figs or keychains left??
  14. Oh wow! Thanks for the review copmike! You only got 1 bag?? Such a finicky wormhole! But seriously, I have a bad feeling these are going to be sooo hard to find come June! I sure hope LEGO makes a lot of 'em.
  15. IIRC the DK stuff is distributed to book stores and retail shops only.
  16. Very nice! Can't wait for this set to come over to the other side of the pond! Well, I hope it does eventually. :p
  17. Wow, I'm totally blown away! I live my lego City fantasies vicariously through your photos so thanks for sharing!
  18. Someone posted the links earlier in the thread, but I don't believe these sets ever came into stock. These listings are just placeholders, but it does look like they will be ready to sell sooner rather than later.
  19. I rec'd several sets in the mail from the TRU B1G1 50% off yesterday: Crystal Sweeper, Robo Attack, Helicopter Transporter, and Typhoon Turbo sub. I wish I could've gotten sets that were closer in price, but those were the only available ones I had an interest in. :p
  20. Do you have any completed films you would like share?
  21. What an awesome review! You covered all the bases, very detailed and creative report. I picked up a set from Amazon which also is selling this for about $16.70ish. The piece count and general design was a concern, but I couldn't resist a markdowned LEGO either.
  22. Nice review! Seems like with some minor modification you could get a minifig on there. Almost makes me want to subscribe!
  23. The low piece count and (comparatively) high price definitely drag the score down for me, too, but as impulse sets, they are extremely popular--I saw these in stores when they were first released, and now I can't find any. Atlantis has been very successful in my area, as are the impulse sets in general. I guess a lot of folks want to build up their armies or something. I do think the minifig is really cool. I'll probably have to pick up a couple later on, but the price for what you get did give me pause (as much as I understand it's a new mold and whatnot).
  24. Wow, very impressive! Thanks for supporting your man!
  25. The plastic parts outsourced to Chinese manufacturers are of lower quality (lighter weight, stickers instead of screen printing, etc) than the plastic found in typical LEGO sets, so some folks refer to them that way.
