  1. I just wanted to post that I like your photo of you with the Friends Maxi-figs. I assume this was taken at the Fairview Store during the Friends World Tour.....???

  2. I have to agree with other posters on this thread. Buy it from Shop@Home while you can, even if its currently on back order. It may not be available for too much longer. It won't take much to change its status from Out of Stock to SOLD OUT.
  3. So far so good. In my opinion, either move the elevator over near the rest of the top floor (giving you more room for manouverabilty for those air ambulances) or move the helipad to the ground... or do both.... or do neither, its yours afterall.
  4. All he needs is a white beard and he would fit in as the maintenance guy in the new modular town hall.
  5. The friends bike looks like its Azure...not light blue
  6. If you ask me its the "bronze age" of trains. The golden age being 12 Volt The silver age being 9 Volt And to be an "age" like people have already said maybe reissues of the metroliner, a sante fe superchief reissue with both an A and B unit. and maybe perhaps a 4-6-4 steam engine to replace the discontinued emerald night.
  7. I dont have any myself. I saw some of it used at the Syracuse show I was at (I think these belonged to Kevin Salm, If I remember correctly). They were relatively easy to set up, fully compatible with 9v set-up and no discernable differences between it and stock 9v track. I think my personal opinion, is that the ME track has a "tinny" sound when the trains ride on them, which could be a good effect if you are needing track on a bridge like a truss bridge or somthing like that.
  8. MEESA think YOUSA have a Screw LOOSA...
  9. that's MADDNESSS..... I was hoping for a SANTE FE poncho!!
  10. He might have said he was named "Subulba", but I think we all know his name is "Jar Jar Binks". And he didn't start the fire on purpose.... he wanted one last turn driving it before he decided to pursue other opportunities.
  11. I love the bottom of my forum signature. I died. Top marks. My "other half" aka the wifey loved it. Well played Brickster.
  12. how much did you pay for it? I bought 1 in box before they re-released it as a legend for almost $300. And bought the companion club car, for over $100. Congrats. This is one of my favorite train sets. I hope you thoroughly enjoy yours.
  13. Epic Failure!! ;) They better stick to moonshine!!! Its MADNESS!!! PS... I will trade moonshine for a tag.
  14. You want to know madness... both my maersk train sets are still in their sealed boxes.... <sigh> if you want, feel free to give me an avatar tag or at the very least a title under my photo.
  15. Wow!!! thats a nice pile of baseplates in those boxes.... I think if I put in an order like that, my wife would kill me. Have fun. Can't wait to see an update on the layout when you get to it.
  16. I have 2 sets (so 2 carriages for the Emerald Night). I would eventually like to make another regular carriage and 1 "observation car" for the rear. Also, a luggage / kitchen car.
  17. At the couple train shows I've been to this past fall, I saw that the Lego was a definite attraction for the children to get into. Yes, there was some attention by some of the "purists" as it were, but most of it was snubbing. The paying customers aka the target audience aka the public at large was very impressed and overawed by the massive scope of the overall layout of the lego. A lot of people were happy and amazed that I put out the Sante Fe Superchief (A / B units, 7 of James Mathis' superchief cars, and a remodeled club car).
  18. you might think about using PLATES instead of a baseplate for the floor of the office. And then use transparent (window) panels for the 3 walls around the "parking area", with the one side open to allow cars to enter and leave.
  19. Also, the townplan Cinema is just a facade anyways... its not a full-scale building. Its just the entrance.
  20. 4558 Metroliner... I'm going grey... I'm a classicly legendary... oh yeah... and I also require an "external" speed regulator.
  21. Nice update Kyphur. Thanks for posting a video. The Superchief looks great. The trainbridge looks very cool. There is a LOT of empty space still.... I'm very jealous at how much space you have for your layout. I guess I need to think about spending less on brick and more on the renovations at my house so I can actually use the shed as a workshop, and perhaps make my attic more accessible.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks Traintech. I hope you feel at home. We would love to see some of the stuff you are building.
  23. That Fiat looks insane. Quite the long chasis.... Not to be racially insensitive but maybe the chauffeur is supposed to be Chinese??
  24. Excellent Review Hinkley and very nice pics. The politically incorrect comics were hilarious!!! Its nice to see the Jack Sparrow body with the Andrea hairpiece... makes a pretty nice French era "Ancien Regime". Nice decorated uniform with a curly wig.
  25. Yeah... my impression of the Ghost Train looks a lot like the Time Twister Train. Is it too early for April Fools...? If that is the only train set, my wallet can rest easy this year for the most part.
