Good Review. I would rate the set as below average, but my wife would kill me. My wife loves the rabbit. I think Andrea stole the rabbit from Stephanie. Even if they are (or were) BFF, I can't see that Stephanie just gave her the rabbit. So, Andrea better watch her back!! ;)

I really like that jack in the tire shop... looks very cool

I'm skeptical on the museum.... though you never know. Getting the museum is like the rumours of us getting a line of zoo-orientated sets. I wouldn't count on any "special weapons" in a SWAT city line-up. City has always been targeted for younger audiences. Though there was a special case for Football (Soccer) sets a while back that had police in Riot Gear, but that was a special promo type set, and not for the main stream.

There is nothing to complain about in this model... all very cool My eyes first went to the hamburger sign.. very nice. I also really enjoy the fridge and the old style cash register...very nice. The brickwork at the bottom with the slopes also a nice touch. Thanks for posting.

There IS a christmas train coming, but I think its just a small holiday set, and not a full fledge train set. (crosses fingers...) though I would be open to new version of some kind of Christmas train to go with the 9V holiday train.

I love the 4555. Its been a while since Lego has put out a Cargo Terminal.

I hope two things: a) that Lego thinks that Lego Fans (all fans not just AFOLS) will NOT be content with just the mining train and the ghost train. b) that we won't have to wait until 2014 or beyond to get a new REAL train set.

congrats to you guys for your tremendous collaborative display at Brickworld. Way to go Simon, way to represent. I hope you guys from Torolug had a blast...but saved enough energy and a few dollars for Brickfete.

Nice sleek design... the all-wheel independant suspension is real neat feature. Spot On.

V-LF-15C I designed this truck virtually (on LDD) sometime late last summer or fall. I had been trying to order it as a Design by Me creation. When I finally had the money to order it (almost $100), there was a run of DBM parts due to its closing and I never got around to ordering it. Anyways, so I finally decided I had waited enough, and was going to bring it to Brickfete 2012 as a companion to the moc I brought last year (a DBM) engine 3, which is a American Lafrance Pumper. So I first ordered the parts I couldnt buy anymore from the Online PickaBrick (there were about 10 or 12 elements) and then ordered the rest from Shop@home. I probably saved about $20 to $30 altogether because I wasn't paying the handling fee for the DBM. (ok, so I wouldn't get a nice box, box cover, and a nice set of instructions) Without further ado, here are the photos: Brickshelf Folder LDD Version view of Truck 3 from the side (Brickshelf) view from the front (Brickshelf) Engine 3 and Truck 3 together (Brickshelf) Engine 3 and Truck 3 side by side (Brickshelf) Come to Brickfete, if you can. Thanks, Ben

if you want the hulk fig... and the fire brigade order the fb right away...no worries. you should get the hulk fig right way but you will have to wait a couple weeks for the fire brigade...

cool stickering Hechristensen... JopieK, are you going to do a sticker for the light grey porthole and the red porthole (printed 2x2 panel)?

@ Rice... thanks for setting this up... alien needs his time to work on his LDD projects... speaking of clinically insane. I had a couple of "largish" projects that I want to brick or in the process of bricking in real life, but nothing in comparison to the scale and depth of this entire endevor. Even my kind, understanding, loving wife of mine questions my sanity with what I'm doing....

This a really sweet layout. I can't wait to see what this will look like in real life. If you want my opinion, I would say section 5 and section 7 are a good starting point. Its a bit over your maximum brick, but they are the best two sections imo... they will probably get the best audience reaction, in my opinion.

I really love the way this turned out. Do the doors and trunk open??? because that would really make the model sweet. Great job on the design... it looks like a "home built kit" car.

nice clean layout, and am enjoying the small details in your buildings. Great job.

medib replied to WideWiiLover's topic in LEGO Town
I too was unable to get a set. From the Canada office, they said they only got a limited supply and don't have any left to give away. -

Nice work. Thank you for posting it... you doing the friends line justice. I think Steph's rat should be named Rodney....or is it Maybeline.... I think the rod looks very cool, like the town classic rods of old (from the hotrod shop) I also like the car furniture.

Speaking of january jerks day and trains, I remember when "Ben" Beneke from Germany posted fake trains on Lugnet and FGLTC from the year 2000. Also noteworthy is the january jerks wiener where someone posted on Lugnet that Lego was releasing specialized "theme" tubs. But Ben's wiener was the best because of the scope of what he did. Not to take this thread on a tangent. Thanks for the wiener Roaming Studio. Well Played. Ben

That is a rare find. It isn't on Lugnet, Brickset, Bricklink, or Peeron. It looks like a very nice companion set to the 7740. Thank you for posting this.

For a high-speed train, what about the Amtrack Acela train in maersk or light blue... that would surely jing...

I am hoping for a return of the Superchief in the medium stone colors... PF compatible... packed in 3 cars (A unit, B unit, and maybe a baggage) with a seperate 3 car set (2 carriages and an observation) if we can't get that maybe a more city-related passenger train with medium stone trucks and with the medium stone decorative side for the train motor...which havent been released in a set until 7897 RC passenger train.

An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO

This is wicked. Congrats on achieving the needed support. I hope the designers at Lego don't botch the transition from idea to realization. Corner cafe, what???? Seriously. great story and again congrats.
