Ah, thanks for the clarification. Everything would be much easier if you Brits and Yankees spoke the same language (at least for me). -

Hm, I liked the recent MLP episode, but it was kind of overshadowed by The Last Roundup. But hey, extended pony economics, this is almost as good as pony history. And another catchy song with two catchy characters. I also liked Rainbow's appearance in the show. Not enough Rarity, though. It's time we get another Rarity episode. I'd just like to ask what exactly "cider" is. Is it an alcoholic beverage or not? It's just, different translation pages/dictionaries give me different results. I'm confused. -

Which would make perfect sence, if it wasn't for the fact that Jedi don't use force choke. -

I honestly didn't expect too much of the new MLP episode, but it was brilliant, with Derpy speaking for the first time. They're now directly addressing Bronies even within the show. I also liked the stagecoach chase, and Pinkie Pie (chimmy cherry, cherry chonga...) -
Oh, the memories. I had already forgot about some of these events, thanks for remembering me. And thanks for the awards as well. Dying like in Baritones is far easier when you at least can smile about it. Congrats to everone who won one of these awards, especially when reading about Koilette I had to laugh.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Peanuts replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
But they are both Jedi. According to Yoda (and the EU, but who cares about the EU?) everyone, including even the clones, is different in the force. So how would Anakin not recognize Obi-Wan, his master, if he can see a droid coming from behind? That wouldn't make any sence (but who cares about sence either?). But anyway, the arc in itself looks cool. And I agree with the Obi-Wan is the bounty hunter theory. -

Yeah, we haven't had a Pinkie episode for too long. I just finished it, and I must say, it was really fun and cute. One of the best episodes of season two so far, in my opinion. Though I'd really like a logical explanation for Anyway, it was a fun episode after all. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

Didn't read the descriptions of Deception and Friends and Enemies, because I think I'll watch this arc more or less spoilerfree. I don't expect too much, but I hope those episodes will turn out well. They've got lots of potential character development for both Ahsoka and Lux (even if they kill him), and I wonder how they will actually change the Death Watch and Vizla, and I hope they have a good reason for Lux to join them, as there doesn't seem to be much sence in him becoming part of a nationalist Mandalorian terror group at first thought. Hope they made a good connection and not some "random character A joins random party B" kind of plot. I'll keep hoping the arc won't disappoint me anyway. I've lately taken a break from watching TCW, and I was surprised there were only three new episodes. So I've watched the slave arc, and I think they could have made it better. That queen must be exceedingly stupid, letting Anakin walk around free, which made the whole thing far less believable. And they absolutely neglected the problemacy of how the protagonists are slaves to the republic/to the Jedi order, which gave space for emotional troubles for both the Jedi and Rex, with him being a more freethinking clone and especially after the Krell story. Also the fact that Anakin had ben a slave as child was barely exerted. It was mentioned at the beginning of Slaves to the Republic and Anakin strangled the queen at the very end of the episode (which was done well, there's way too few dark Anakin), but I think they could have done more with that. -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Confirmation & Discussion
Peanuts replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You guys know how to keep a day one messy. It's fun to watch so far, but I'm glad I didn't sign up, it looks stressful. -
Great idea, Penguin. Did you order a flamethrower to be installed as well? I've voted for #3, it's a bit plain, but I like it. I agree with Oky and Miss kyle, 2 looks a bit strange. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result!

That MOC is really amazing, I especially love the roofs and the various ornaments. The scenery looks also pretty neat and it's so full of details. Also like the way you posed the minifigs. Is there an interior to that house as well?

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Sign Up Thread
Peanuts replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think I would, even though I played Eurodina. It was a crazy first mafia game, and the town barely stood a chance, but it was somehow fun. But if you should ever again host a game, please use less neutral roles. -

The background of the game sounds intriguing, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass, since I have lots of real live business ahead (final exams in less than a month). So, good luck to everyone and to the hosts! I hope you'll all enjoy the game and I'll try to follow it as good as I can. -
I doubt it would be Harley, without the Joker she's alright for one-shot episodes like in BTAS, but certainly not as a major character. I don't know much about Pyg, but from what I've read, he doesn't sound uninteresting. And yeah, I don't think I'll like what they did there, and Alfred definitely looks too young.

Welcome on Eurobricks! This must have been the longest brickfilm I've ever seen, and judging by the quality of the animation it's also very smooth. May I ask how many frames per second you used? I also enjoyed the humour a lot, so in general, it honestly must be one of the best brickfilms I've ever watched. Well done, I hope I'll see more of you

Is it confirmed there will be a new series? And that Two-Face will be in it? I didn't like Two-Face's death in TDK at all. I really think it's a problem of the Batman universe that you can't simply kill villains off, while it's a usually pretty common to kill characters in movies. It's easy to give a bad guy a good ending if you kill him, but the matter is, Batman doesn't kill, which was something that really bugged me about both BB (when Batman leaves Ra's for death) and TDK as well as the 1989 Burton movie. It's a rule you shouldn't break, at least not without a very good reason and not without consequences, and those movies had none. So, if you can't end a movie without killing a bad guy, you shouldn't do a Batman movie IMO. Hm, I can't find that script, but from what I've read, they revive Joker with fear gas? And Quinn is Joker's daughter? I'm kinda glad that wasn't made. Though I'm certainly interested in the script... At least some Scarecrow. There's not enough movies with Scarecrow. Talking about him, I think he was the villain portrayed best in the Nolan movies. Only thing I didn't like was that I didn't consider him the asylum director kind of person, but rather something like "I hate this asylum and its director", but I guess that wouldn't have worked with the plot.

I don't know. I enjoyed the first two Nolan movies, but I understand why some hardcore Batman fans haven't. I don't mind different interpretations of characters too much in most cases, and the movies still were enjoyable. But if Bane doesn't have Venom and superstrengh, he's not really Bane. That'd be like a Batman who doesn't dress up like a bat. But it's not confirmed he doesn't use venom, is it? So there's still hoping. The mask is, dunno, strange. As well as the coat. Not very Bane-like, but I'll have to wait how he turns out. And I can't read much more out of that trailer. Selina wasn't in there dressed as catwoman, was she? I'm not sure. So I can't say anything about the approach on her. The two former Nolan movies at least had a relatively good storyline, so I'm hoping I'll enjoy this one too.

Catwoman with a katana? Not any better. And I don't see anything cat-like with that character, no cat-shaped mask or something. And why would she use a sword? I think Catwoman's focus is on agility, and swords decrease the maneuverability heavily. And where's the connection between a sword and a Cat? And Catwoman doesn't kill, so what's the point of carrying a sword around if you don't kill (but I think that's the same with Katana or whoever this hero is. If they are with Batman, they still can't kill ) It could be Dent, it looks a bit too young to be Alfred anyway. But Dent is no action hero either, he's a distric attorney. It's not like they'd run around with two pistols all the day either. And if he's with Batman, he isn't allowed to kill as well. And pistols are even less useful as non-lethal weapons than a katana, so they're simply ridiculous, whoever bears them. But Harvey still makes more sence than Alfred, you're right.
-
I have to agree with that partially. Well, I've got nothing against new, different enemies, and giving Joker a break, but some of the more commmon villains should be used as well. As you say, there's plenty of great common villains. But in fact, I'm rather open-minded towards the enemies. Let's see how this turns out. (Not to mention I'm glad I don't have to see a triangle-faced Joker ) What really bugs me are the good guys; Alfred is no pistol-wielding action hero, and it's simply ridiculous with the heroes bearing two pistols and a katana and never killing people. I mean, killing people is the only purpose of weapons. And I'm not digging the animation style either, at least not from what I'm seeing. Batman looks something between funny and nightmarish...

Yay! Thanks for making me win as well, Bob.
-
Dang, I really thought I won! Well, I definitely enjoyed the game, and I enjoyed being on the bad side once again. Thanks to Cornelius, I really think we did a good job working together. Too bad his background story set him up. Well, at least we got a happy end. I voted "No" for "Did you see that coming?", because I didn't see it coming at all. I didn't know we had to fool the entire town in order to win, but it seems somewhat fair, considering the fact the town had few to go on. I really loved the characters, and the amount of roleplay people put into the game. Especially the father-daughter relationship with Winston was nice, sorry I had to ruin everything in the end. I also loved the interiors to the buildings, that was something that had been completely lacking in Red Scare. The story was also far more linear than in Red Scare, which I think is a good thing. Overall, I liked Suburbia a lor more than your previous game. But something I really don't understand, we planned to kill Officer Scott, but Bob told us that wasn't a good idea. Then we tried to kill Jackson, but instead we took Marcus hostage, and shot Alex Jordan. Was that a modkill? And who was the brown-haired person the firefighters had seen? And what about that hand at the firestation? I think you did a somewhat good job hosting this, Bob. But frankly, there were things that could have been better, like telling us not to kill Fugazi or mass-murdering silent people. It's hard to blame somebody who was modkilled, because I myself wouldn't have suspected you to kill a key figure to the game. But at the same time it also was a shame those players contributed so few. But nevertheless, you did a good job. In my opinion, it was good that you didn't hint us towards the CCTV cams until midgame, it keeps the game exciting when such useful evidence turns up. And congratulations to Rumble Strike, for figuring out two out of three questions and winning the game. It's your fault that we didn't win Well done.
-
I could imagine that her love affair with the Chief was just some Act of God which happened to distract us from the real crime, as well as the love affair of Alex and Julia. And we mustn't disregard the CCTV heavily indicates the murder was an on-the-spot decision, even if the killers were played by the host weren't quite themselves that night. Sure, why not. This investigation stuff can be pretty exciting.
-
-Would be quite a coincidence. I really think anyone who'd kill the chief would try by all means not to get caught, particularly in a game like this, even if that involves killing possible witnesses. Especially if they are a hardended criminal, like in my theory. If Dad really is a drug dealer, he certainly won't want to get busted, I reckon. By the way, has anyone noticed how Dad was able to answer the question how he could finance his collecting without even asking the host jogging his memory? Maybe, because he already had an excuse down pat? I mean, I doubt such a thing would be mentioned in the role PM. Maybe I'm just over-interpreting to back up my case against him, but I think it's noteworthy, since most of us apparently have a short memory and are unable to answer even simple questions without asking the host jogging their memory. -Maybe they were simply guessing? And I'd say, out of all the three brown-haired men in town, Officer Jackson was the one who was most likely to figure things out. No offence, Dad. So it makes sence to kill the one of them who poses the biggest thread. Er, I did a mistake there. The "By the way" passage was meant the be below the "Maybe they were" passage.
-
I'm sorry, Dad, and you must understand, it's not like you were the only person I'm suspicious of. I realize I don't have any hard evidence to back this up - as there's no hard eveidence at all - and the firefighter might not be very reliable, but we have to make a decision today. I know I can't really eliminate the others, and I'm still suspicious of Alex, but you fit into my theory of Robbie buying drugs rather well. You should feel free to come up with a better theory, though.

But one day later, she said she believed the person she saw was a man; that's why I assumed it above.
