  10. Great to be getting western again, not so great for fleshie figs but whatever.. :)
  11. Actually I need to take a better photo of that guy and the altar, there are trans red tiles under his arms and two barrels full of trans red blood at each side of the altar where it runs off from the altar Dr Rod
  12. Thanks for all the comments/feedback. The red glow comes from a scary place, not sure I want to go down that tunnel with my camera. I used loooong exposures, low ambient light levels and painted in highlight areas with small torch/flashlight. It is deliberately dark as the location is underground, I have other photos that are much brighter but I didn't want to ruin the dark, gloomy atmosphere. Dr Rod
  13. I posted my Challenge V entry over in the main GoH forum. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=75962 There are more photos in my flickr stream. Now to get on with some Nocturnus free builds to flesh out the Rakath mountains a bit Dr Rod
  14. Dr Rod knew of an ancient Drow chamber, deep underneath his tower in the Rakath mountains; some Nocturnus refugees seek shelter there after the elementals were let loose across Historica. The chamber holds an ancient Drow altar and was once the site of ritual Drow sacrifices. The refugees have set up home in the upper level of the cavern, and brought along some tasty animals and barrels of foodstuff. Lord Mocka the cat is very curious about the goings on below. Members of Dr Rod's castle guard and some orc fighters keep an eye out for troops of the corrupt hand. Zynthane the Orc witch has been studying some ancient tomes that deal with elemental destruction and protection spells. She has been busy reinforcing the ancient arcane magic that surrounds the Drow altar and chamber, ensuring that no elementals are able to enter the cavern. The ancient Drow altar has once again tasted blood, this time it is the blood of some corrupt hand troops. Captured troops meet their fate at the hands of two drow executioners, eager to take the blood and other body parts back into their tunnels below. This guy is about to join his comrades in the tubs. One final darker overview of the scene. I enjoyed this challenge!! Dr Rod
  15. As other have said, nice smoke technique!!
  16. The daffodils should be dead please, live ones are wholly inadequate. Dr Rod

  19. You've already used up the last batch I sent!!! I have a big build on the way, can't start it for a couple of weeks though and I suspect it will take a month or two... I plan to make it in sections so should be putting out a few free builds over that time (plus the fifth challenge). Dr Rod
  20. Bit of a Classic Space collector myself (got me out of my dark ages). This is most of my CS collection: Flickr Link I have a stack more figs that I wasn't too keen putting out on public display that day :) Dr Rod
  21. Actually, I think your thoughts were more along the lines of "GOH will never end... until the Drow rule supreme!!" Dr Rod
  22. Fine... this challenge does interest me more than the previous couple so I will be partaking (after AMRA ) !! Is the 52x52 size a total stud count (2704); i.e. can I make a 40x60 entry? Dr Rod
