I believe it was originally named after a moon of Jupiter. -

Too late for me to join the warlords challenge, will make some free builds though.. Dr Rod -
Well Dr Rod is a bit late to the party and won't get this done in time, will stick to free builds I think. Dr Rod

Awesome, will be making a few free build MOCs over the coming months. Ultimately I want to make a large (40 odd baseplate) MOC of Dr Rod's tower and surrounding area, though that will be towards the end of the year I suspect. Dr Rod -

Ah.. well they haven't taken Dr Rod's tower yet ;) Are there some nice samples of the Black Spire troops somewhere easily obtainable or just a mix of various Nocty types? Dr Rod -

Fellow Nocturnites, I've been bad and MIA a bit but feel the need for a MOC, can someone give me a 15 second run down on what has been happening in Nocty? i.e. who currently "leads" us and who would I expect to find trapsing about that deserves to be gutted. Dr Rod -

I think what would work best is if I check the counts of all entries by pulling them apart, then all entrants have to build them again as a race, blindfolded. DrRod PS: Back visiting Nocturnus hey!! -

I only know of 2 MOCS set in Port Wrath, it could be expanded. It is right up on the Northern border though and would be less "Nocturnusesque" than somewhere further SE. Dr Rod -

Dr Rod replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well we already have Port Wrath in the North, though that is kind of more a border city so perhaps a bit less Nocturnish.. I'm not going to be able to build for a couple of months as I have local shows here to build for, but I will be building for Nocturnus over the year. I like the idea of all building parts of the harbour city, I think it should be reasonably haphazard design, lots of dodgy back alleys, corpses floating in the harbour. There can be the seedy part of town, plus the really seedy part of town :) I will make an alchemist shop and opium den :) Dr Rod -

RESULTS INCLUDED: Book II- Challenge 1- The Battle for Nocturnus.
Dr Rod replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
As possibly the longest serving member of Nocturnus left (?) I confirm my allegience to Nocturnus. Dr Rod still resides in the North Western region of the Rakath Mountains. -

So I made a little MOC for Masa's Raising the Dead community build.. probably a bit late ;) The scene depicts Barrizz finding the legendary Ghost Orchid (said to only grow from the corpses of Elves) in the NW region of the Moruth swampland. -

Raising the Dead - Search for the Ghost Orchid
Dr Rod replied to Dr Rod's topic in Guilds of Historica
After searching for many weeks (and getting distracted with other tasks ;) ) Barrizz finds a clue as to the whereabouts of a ghost orchid. Said to grow from the corpses of elves fallen in battle, Barrizz searches the North Western Moruth swamplands, where a party of elves went missing hunting drow. Having lost all but one of her companions, Barrizz pushes forward through the swamp on her steed and finally sees the almost spectral form of a ghost orchid. She is currently returning to Masa, hopefully not too late.. -

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Dr Rod replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well Dr Rod never left Nocturnus so he is still around but is "signing up" once more, located in the north Rakath mountains. Dr Rod was exiled from Avalonia years ago for his slightly unethical experimentations and sought refuge in Nocturnus. -

Dr Rod is in the Nth Rakath Mountains, human though.. He does interact with Drow and goblins though from time to time. I can make a scene with a goblin cave in the Rakath Mountains some time. -
