  1. For those interested in the upcoming WWII set featuring der Führer there's always this set to keep you going: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/6-pcs-lot-SWAT-World-War-II-Troops-military-Kid-Baby-Toy-Mini-Figure-Building-Blocks/32514898201.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.153.dw1dZN&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_3,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_1 I must admit that the price might actually be worth it for the two Stahlhelm and some of the weapons. The caps are copied from BrickForge but the print looks a little iffy on it... same with the officers hat. Not sure that chain gun with the shielding around the barrel was around in 1945 though...
  2. At least the SY293 set is just designs we already have as regular figures so can be easily passed on... I hope it doesn't become a habit though. As some have said a transparent Vision, Invisible Woman or even Iceman would be fine... but the rest? No thanks. That Wolverine and Batman set looks absolutely terrible. The design even on the CGI render is awful so I fear the actual thing will actually be worse. Haven't we had a gold Batman previously? I don't think anyone has done a Sinestro figure in his original blue suit although I think the customiser OLS did one and the bootleggers seems to be copying a lot of his figures at the moment so you never know. Just found PPM version: http://www.ebay.co.u...n-/361301054124 That Green Lantern is basically the most recent one that is available based on the Space Batman and GL set although there is a little bit of detailing which makes it different such as the white lines on the torso. I think that was the design from one of the earlier Lego Batman games. A customiser called Muddy River Minifigs printed one as one of his first batch of 6 minifigures and I was lucky enough to get one but they're not available any more. I think Popunkmunky on eBay does a version of it. Here's a listing for just the torso: http://www.ebay.co.u...O-/201357328039 And a listing for the whole figure: http://www.ebay.co.u...l-/361297214675 I think the head print on the PPM figure is based on the SDCC figure whereas the original design has been used better on the recent official figure. The MRM figure is second on the left here:
  3. 141-148 are from SY and make up their most recent SH set. I'm guessing 224 Darth Revan is also SY as they included him in the Grievous Bike set instead of General Grievous. He's from the SY266 set along with the other figures around him in the picture. He's a copy of the polybag promo figure rather than the one in the Justice League set.
  4. We've already had images leaked of various figures and sets across quite a few of the themes and there are people who already have the Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman figures from the 2016 sets.
  5. He means the SY363A set that's about 5 or so posts above this. Definitely looks like the BvS suit that's coming next year.
  6. Over in the City Forum someone has made an incredible MOC of a theatre in London... the exterior and the interior are fantastic... absolutely beautiful... then there's this! The modification of some of the elements such as the drilling and gluing etc may not appeal to some but the sheer amount of work that has gone into this makes any non-purist work pale into insignificance. It would be enough to just have this MOC as a standalone Batmobile similar to the Tumbler but then you add functionality! The work that has gone into this is near heroic in it's scale and it's execution. It's a work of art. I applaud you on every single aspect of this build!
  7. I ordered a couple of the cubes from the website yesterday and I'm having them shipped to the UK from a friend in Texas. Glad I got the chance to do the same thing last year. While Target ship internationally now the cube isn't part of their international range so up until you try to pay for it everything looks fine.
  8. I think people should just stick to the later SY figure or the DLP. I gave the DLP joker to my daughter but if you just added genuine purple arms it would be an excellent figure with very good print. All my jokers are genuine Lego though so I don't keep my bootleg versions. SY178 and DLP9013 and just pick up some arms and hair from BrickLink and you're set. Mind you Joker is pretty cheap now thanks to the polybag.
  9. I don't often venture into this part of the forum but that image on the homepage made me want to see more. Its beautiful... just... beautiful. Even when you think you've seen people achieve almost anything in a build this MOC just seems to take things up a level with the interior detailing. From the seating of the auditorium to the lights down onto the stage to the unbelievably detailed decorative sculpture either side of the stage area. Incredible work.
  10. Well a 3 for 2 deal at Argos in the UK forced my hand to pick up Poe's X-Wing and the FO Troop Transport to get the FO TIE for free. A little reduction on the X-Wing was a sweetener! Also picked up a few figures cheap on eBay meaning I don't need to get the new Falcon (I'll mod my 7965 a little instead of picking the TFA version up).
  11. It's not to scale. There's a moc in progress on EB which is truly minifig scale... I think that shows just how prohibitively large an accurately scaled door/garage would be. On the subject of the back wall again, I'm betting that wall looks very close to the source material the designer was given... He just wasn't that concerned with tarting it up.
  12. I'd say that the 10179 MF and 10185 Green Grocer are exactly the reason things like that won't happen again. No-one will get 'caught out' with the failure to pick up a set just because it's a little more expensive. This set isn't much more than the recent Sandrawler... around £30 in total... for something that's a three storey building which has a full interior and 9 minifigures plus three ghosts (not forgetting 1300 more parts). I don't remember this much complaining about the Sandcrawler. It's also roughly the same price as the Helicarrier... and has around 1500 more parts in it (and a lot more minifigs). I'd say it'll do just fine.
  13. Agreed. With a 100% feedback rating of over 7000 and probably considered the best digital print Lego customiser out there I think 'lower class printer' is doing him a serious disservice. I'd consider digital print lower class than pad printing in a general sense but he definitely can't be consider lowered class than ANY Lego customisers. He's also done pad before and the results were great... I own one of his pad prints.
  14. That looks like it's either an OLS figure or it could be based on the new Phoenix design.
  15. Brick Forge are very reputable company and I've bought lots from them and had them shipped to the UK.
  16. That looks really nice. I've been tempted for a while to BL the UCS Shuttle but might go for modding the Tydirium. The size of this version is really nice and that nose and cockpit looks great.
  17. Yeah... I'll just head down at 9.30am when it opens and see what kind of discounts there are.
  18. Same here... although I'm holding out for the film first then I'm probably going to start picking things up! Excellent and seamless mod to this vessel. There's some really nice modification to the TFA wave already!
  19. It won't be long... but I'd rather go for these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Falcon-Commandos-Desert-versionWar-Chariot-Weapon-Gun-6pcs-lot-Minifigures-Building-Blocks-Children-Toys-Compatible-With/32474712896.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_6_79_78_77_80%2Csearchweb201644_5%2Csearchweb201560_9&spm=2114.031010208.3.18.zdXfet I must admit the last DS set I got had some nice print on the legs but the torsos weren't that great especially clutch power so I replace the torsos with tan Lego ones as the gear has full camo print and much preferred them that way. The S Brand Falcon Commandos on the other hand were fantastic so this set of desert commandos should be good also.
  20. Ha.. Thanks, fella. Nope... Not really back in... I've kept the DLP/SY range from AOU with a few Lego additions here and there and my custom Coulson might benefit from the badge on his lapel as it's just a standard Lego black suit at the moment. Let me know what the quality is like on it.
  21. Yeah.. some close ups would be good.
  22. If you have a spare Agent Coulson torso that you won't miss...
  23. Agreed. It's a great, modern alternative to the quiff hairstyle used in the original Batman line.
  24. My DLP sets arrived today and that might just be the quickest delivery I've ever had from a seller. I think they were sent around 5 days ago by airmail. Got the Batman set and the SDCC/Grodd set. I must say that the Batman set is VERY good. The ZEA Batman torso is probably the best of the three bootleg versions so far in that it has the rounded shoulders, correct print both front and back and mine actually has the muscle definition lines in pretty much the right colour so I'll be using that on my SY legs, Decool head and original arms/cape/baseball bat. The Batman Beyond figure is excellent and if my Lego parts weren't in storage it'd now have genuine arms, legs and cowl to make it perfect. Shame I already own Christo's version but this is excellent. GL Batman is also really nice... no errors on the print so I'll be adding genuine GL legs along with genuine arms and cape to make this one pretty much perfect too. The New 52 Bats is very well done although my Space Bats has no flesh printing on the head so it's all white. The Arkham Bats is very nicely printed although I must say the legs are a little loose. I think I'll give it dark bley arms and black cape to finish it off. Interestingly the Batman Begins variant has the same incorrect and simplified artwork as the original SY version. I really do wonder whether they're just stare from the same factory and have their old moulds? The SDCC/Grodd set is also pretty nicely done although I must say that the Arsenal figure I received had no silver print on it***... the white and black print on the red was very neatly done but I think I'll be asking for a new one. I have an original SDCC version so I'm not too bothered but I'd like to compare like for like. New 52 Bats is identical to the other one and as such is pretty much perfect. Grodd is very nicely done for a first bigfig. The print is perfect and the moulding is excellent. SDCC Sam Wilson Cap is actually very well done. I think the grey printing is a little dark as is the dark blue but I'll be picking up a cheap Spidey with dual moulding for the arms and legs and with genuine slick back hair I think he'll look pretty much spot on. The shield is the best bootleg Cap shield I've seen... Identical to Lego's. Robin is OK although the print to emulate dual moulding isn't that well done and the muscle definition print is in dark grey which doesn't work that well on the red. I think I'll use the head for customs but the yellow cape is quite good quality and custom yellow capes are hard to come by. Brainiac is very well done although the head and hands are an odd pale green which is lighter than the genuine one I think (I'm going to try and get my figures out of storage later to compare). Joker is well done but is obviously now quite a common variant. Obviously all of them have the thick shoulders. All in all worth it for the ZEA torso, GL Bats torso, Batman Beyond torso and head, Arkham figure as a whole (except for the thick shoulders), excellent new cowls (in green and purple too!) and the Sam Wilson SDCC torso and head. Add some genuine parts to these and you've got some figures that'll stand up alongside genuine Lego and pad customs printed on genuine parts. Oh... and around 9 Bat-a-rangs too.. which is always nice! ***Just to update but looking now at a few listings and also as Digger's review of this set DLP completely missed the silver print off this which is a shame. Looks like people will have to pick up the Decool figure or wait for SY to do one!
  25. I don't know if you can get them individually but here's a listing for the set: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Building-Blocks-Super-Heroes-Avengers-Minifigures-Batman-Joker-Green-Lantern-Arrow-GORILLA-GROOD-Bricks-Action-Mini/32522132478.html
