  1. I save them as a lot of my sets aren't on display so I put eh set in the box for storage although I'm sure I could flattens the boxes down and just places the sets in bags that are labelled. I don't have space for a building room so I don't tend to disassemble sets for MOCing. I've just moved house though and binned quite a few boxes from various sets that i had that probably will never go back into storage and will simply go into a parts bin.
  2. Agreed. I think with the way things have been looking over the last couple of years it should be spectacular.
  3. It wouldn't surprise me if they left one of them out... Toys companies tend to do things like that... but by all account of the set size etc I'm hoping for the same!
  4. Just seeing something in a movie and thinking it will get a release isn't a rumour. If nobody from any source st a toy company, supplier, shop or Lego themselves have said anything about a set or figure being possible then it's not a rumour. If Stay Puft the Marshmallow Man beat Kylo Ren and won the day it still wouldn't be a rumour... just your opinion on it being a significant enough part of the film that it should get released. Massive difference. Closer to wishlisting than rumour.
  5. If you're going to quote a spoiler tag try and keep it in a spoiler tag. Same with even slight descriptions of things in the film people haven't seen yet.
  6. Chibi Hulk maybe not smash AFOL sales but might do pretty well for target audience sales
  7. I really like the cartoony figures in the micros. Cap with white arms looks really sweet so I'll be picking that up even though I'm only DC.
  8. The more I look at the them the star of the show for me is the simplified Bats in the Micros for some reason. I just think him and Robin are fantastic.
  9. I'm definitely on the side of that just being the way the light is hitting the head piece... It almost looks metallic-y (if you know what I mean). I saw the image on Flickr and it's cropped at the sets so I've not really seen the full page with the figure listing... I'll try and take a look...
  10. I think those sets looks great and that Harley looks to be a triumph! The treatment on all of those Mighty Micros figures is great and the Batcentric stuff all looks great. With regards to that Gotham Cycle Chase set I'm definitely NOT seeing the SDCC 2011 Batman figure appearing there... different cowl, head, cape, leg colour and torso colour.
  11. I know the store in Liverpool is only closed on Christmas Day. Jan 1st is Sunday trading hours but definitely open.
  12. The first pic is the one that makes it look 'added'. It's the second one with even the right amount of blur that kind of says it's not faked on there. The gold ink is very metallic on there and looks like there is a bit of thickens to it... it's almost got a slight ripple to the ink. I know some of the original SDCC figures were slightly misaligned but the black areas around the muscle armour was printed on an on this it isn't.. they grey ink looks like it touches the silver armour print. Then there's the use of the old head, cowl and cape if you want to get into detail about it. They're also the same images as in the auction listing so at the moment there only seems to be one of those figures as opposed to many being sold all over the place.
  13. Well if there's a high resolution image of the box art in someone's possession then we should get a very detailed description of Harley.
  14. Green Arrow was released and modified slightly along with no leg printing... we got the figure and it was pretty close to the SDCC but it wasn't a complete copy so it couldn't be sold as such and kept the SDCC fig exclusive. Still not sure whey they'd put a 4 yr old exclusive minifigure in a new £20 set. The things that jumps out at me on this fig and the other 'unreleased' figures is the quality of the print just isn't up to current Lego standards. I know customisers who sell parts with pad print misprints cheap and those errors are sometimes undetectable... these things are misaligned and rough... not forgetting the digitally printed 'unreleased figure'. If for some reason these are genuine it'll surprise the hell out of me but until I'm proven categorically wrong then I'll stick with iffy, possibly employee made, market stall fodder.
  15. So you have a high resolution box art pic that proves we're getting the 2011 SDCC batman figure in a £20 set? The grey looks pretty iffy on those pictures. I musta admit that as iffy as the alignment etc looked it didn't strike me as being added afterwards although I see what you're getting at. It's the other shots that have the figure at flatter angles... if it's added after the fact they've done a good job of adjusting the colour for the light balance in the shot. The grey just looks rough and misaligned.
  16. That part of the site is closed for the holiday season, as usual, so it'll be back up and running again in the new year. I'm pretty sure it's worldwide so once it's back up there should be a link to buy bricks.
  17. So you're saying that the 2016 Batcycle chase set is using poorly printed versions of the 2011 SDCC exclusive Batman figure? A figure that they made a regular variant of in dark bley so as to keep the SDCC exclusive? When no other SDCC exclusive figure has ever been released in regular sets and they're continually creating new artwork designs for their figures they're going to use 5yr old exclusive artwork plates for a cheap set? Also.. the prelim image shows Batman in a grey suit doesn't it? I'm assuming that when we get the official pics of the 2016 non-movie sets we'll all know once and for all whether these 'unreleased and genuine advance figures' are in fact fake rubbish being old out of market stalls in Mexico?
  18. That figure is identical to the 2011 SDCC Batman figure... except for the fact the print looks a bit crap. For me it's another nail in the 'leaked' figure coffin. If people down in Mexico, either in the factory or elsewhere, are knocking out figures then saying they're leaks then it shows that they all are. Let's not go down that route again. Looks like someone has access to Lego's printing plates and is printing these up... hence the large numbers of them available.
  19. I've pretty much got the intention of using a Superman face with red eyes facing through the mask if we get one so as long as the helmet and the print on the torso is OK then I'm fine with that.
  20. I'd still say that $30 for a single figure in a pack is a relatively expensive way to sell a single figure. With this item the figure is the secondary product to actually getting the base with which to activate the character... the figure is decoration in this sense. That just includes arm printing... the GBHQ then goes one step further with a slimed variant as another reason to pick that set up along with the arm printed versions of the rest of the team... If you go the other way round, for people that buy the GBHQ still might feel the need to pick up the Dimensions set to get the un-slimed Venkman variant. The figure in the Dimensions sets are reason enough for some people to buy the set and probably discard the base or sell it at a much reduced cost. With the right figure I'd easily consider buying a Dimensions set and I don't own a gaming console.
  21. The argument is pretty pointless but Lego will clearly put exclusive figures in expensive sets... or at least Exclusive variants as an extra incentive to purchase that set. Minifigures are a large part of Lego now so having a figure with some level of exclusivity as part of a large set makes sense. That's why Vader is in sets that are over £50. It's why the Ghostbusters figures have arm printing on the Ghostbusters HQ set and Venkman has a slimed variant on his torso print. A figure is of no lesser quality if it's simply a variant with slightly less print. Lego will continue to make better Lego and they'll continue to put exclusive figures, or exclusive variants, in the more expensive sets.
  22. Just picked up the two TFA Battlepacks and the two TFA Microfighters from Smyths Toys in Speke. Plenty of them around. No sign of any of the other sets though.
  23. A conversation often heard in the Jenner household over the years... ;)
  24. They're very useful... I can see them being used for a number of things. Poggle the Lesser is quite a way down on my list of things to use it for though... ;) Well the reason he doesn't is to keep the UCS Slave 1 version with some level of exclusivity... same with the arm printing on the TIE Pilot in the UCS set. He is up to modern standards.. just without arm printing. The arm printed torso was available on B&P for months if anyone wanted it.
