Have you got a little angel minifig on 1 shoulder telling you that "stolen lego is bad", and a little devil minifig on the other saying "hope you don't miss out on your cheap lego"?. :-P

I can't believe no-one has mentioned a HOBBY TRAIN CONTEST!!!!! Easily accesible parts set that most members probably already own. Would provide a nice level playing ground where the winners don't need to be the ones with the biggest Bricklink feedback score. One simple rule. Build a train using only parts from the set.

Why woud we hate you? I can see maybe a dozen pieces in there I can use. that's about 10bucks per piece for me. Do you have specific uses for all of these or did you just buy them because they are sort of out of the ordinary(ie rare because they are kinda useless).

Looking for 4555 9 V Cargo Station MISB
Landlubber replied to Morten's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
A mate of mine had a bunch of MISB Velux houses but I'm pretty sure they all got snapped up quick. I know my girlfriend was very happy with hers. -
To find the auction just log into "My Ebay" and it should still be there under items you have bought, or items you have bid on. Contact the seller first, there's a good chance they were unaware and will be willing to help out to protect their reputation. I've only had one dodgy Ebay transaction out of a couple hundred, which turned out to be a couple of 13 year olds using a "hacked" ebay account. I tracked down thier names and addresses, made a phone call and had a good chat with some parents and my money was returned.

Take a regular 240V transformer to your local electrician and see if he can install a transformer to run from 110 to 12v. Or alternatively you could just use a Model train controller that puts out 12V but the first option is probably the best if you want it to look like authentic lego. How much 12V track do you have? Might not be worth all the effort if you only have a small amount of track. If this is the case then just send your 7745 to me and I'll look after it for you. ;-)

I understand that, but wasn't the Yoc forum just an index of MOC threads where no-one had to do any work? I have many interests other than lego where I visit plenty of forums in the search for information, and I've found that the best and easiest forum's are the ones with the least moderation and the simplest layouts.

I posted a thread asking about this moving a couple days ago, a thread which seems to have dissapeared completely. Personally I think this is a horrible idea. The YOC forum was my favourite one. It was like a mini brickshelf where you go and get a random assortment of fellow Eurobrickers creative urges. I haven't got time to trawl through 13 different forums, sifting through all the other boring lego talk just to find some cool creations and ideas and inspiration. I don't need to read a review of a set that I pobably already own, and reading all the long winded Lego Theory threads puts me to sleep. The Yoc forum was like a multicultural lego area where all themes were welcome and you could access a bit of variety. Now there's a segregated community with no randomness at all. I like random. Not happy Eurobricks.

Looks good. You're resizing excuse doesn't work though. Irfanview will resize all your photo's at once. Once set up its half a dozen clicks of the mouse and they're all done.

MISB M-Tron and Monorail Sets Bought at Store.
Landlubber replied to Brickmaster's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
How much do you want for the monorail track? -
I agree Highland. I've got the original set, and the colours on yours don't really do it for me.

Lego SORT OF shows false 7994 picture at Lego.com
Landlubber replied to RupeeClock's topic in LEGO Town
You would need to be abit thick to think that the Harbour came with 3 ships, considering there are heaps of photo's with 1 ship and only the 1 photo with 3. Some of you need to relax a bit. I'm guessing the trouble makers are from some sue-crazy country. PS- I've got 3 harbours too. -
150 Euro.

Which Official Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have?
Landlubber replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
If you have that many ships and sets then you no doubt have a pretty good supply of pirate and imperial figures by now. I'd be concentrating on doing some kickass MOC's using other cheaper elements that are slightly piratical. That's what I've been doing lately, just building fort's and hideouts using all my other spare bits. Stock up on bricks and arches and tiles from PAB and do some large sized MOC's which you can populate using your already large collection of figures. -
He never said he had a website. He's an admin for a Yahoo group based on Lego Pirates.

Yeah, way too pricey. I got my BSB mint in box without any shelfwear fo $350AU. If there was a chance of getting 750Euro for it there'd be an empty space in my MISB cupboard right now.

I hear DJ's has Market St too. Did you see any of them there?

Are you comparing the tiny little blue and white plane to the gigantic green one?

I crushed my right hand underneath a truck last week, meaning I have lots of time cause i cant go to work. I cant really do much else though. Built a couple of small things the other day but i'm right handed and it gets a bit tiring after a while. Have to catch up on movie watching instead.

Looks good. What set is the motorbike from?

It's easy for guys like us to say no-one should be intimidated, but i'm sure there are some people who would look at the entries and be slightly afraid to post something they may think was substandard. I'd just really love to see a contest with a level playing field, and get 50 or so entries to make things really interesting. How many members do you think we have regularly hanging around the town forum? Don't get me wrong, keep the contests coming. I had great fun with this one. Doing it in a couple of hours (I have anther addiction which takes a lot of my time, motorbikes) and with only a few new pieces just made it more challenging to do a good build.

I reckon the next 1 needs a limited scope of parts. It's easy to do a winning design when you've got rooms full of bricks, LDD and a bricklink feedback of 500+. I've noticed the same few people are usually at the top, give some of the underlings a chance. limit it so that the builder nominates 3 sets that he/she will be using for parts for their entry. Then the winner gets chosen on who has the most creativity and ingenuity, not who has the most bricks and money. PS. I voted for the Diner, even though its way too over the top to be classed as a "set idea". The lighthouse is probably the winner in terms of which would make the best official set.

Nice work. The Bagguets are from the Lego Scala range.

Thats very technically impressive. Needs a lot of parts though. I finally tracked down a cheap Airport Shuttle. Arrivd today. $200 with box and instructions. Jeez they're getting hard to find. One went for $500 on ebay the other day.
