LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Moon_Knight replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think they're going to pull a Jabba's Palace on us with the Carbon Freezing Chamber. It looks too incomplete to stand by itself. I think we're for sure getting more Cloud City sets to connect together. It'll for sure help my wallet this way. Rather than spending $450 all at once on an enormous Cloud City set, I can slowly spend that much. ;) -

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
Moon_Knight replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the primary reason of why we haven't seen many Justice League sets on the shelves is because DC/Warner is just barely getting its cinematic universe started. I am aware that the DC animated movie universe is there. Some of the Justice League sets even show similarities to animated movies such as Darkseid Invasion and Justice League War. But I don't think we'll see much until movies like Batman v Superman, Shazam, Flash, JLA, etc. come to theaters. The Marvel theme has several sets because: 1. Marvel's as popular as ever right now because of its movies. 2. As we know, LEGO and Disney share a close partnership. I do agree with everyone though. Simply put, Batman sells better. He sells because of his legacy and he's been the only superhero with successful ongoing movies. He died for a little while back in Joel Schumacher's reign and was reborn with Christopher Nolan. I really think all we have to do is give it time. DC has a great variety of superheroes with amazing stories that are waiting to be told in cinema. It should be interesting to see how far LEGO goes with the sets it creates for the DCCU. I know we're getting a Suicide Squad-ish set but Suicide Squad is definitely not going to be a family friendly movie. DC's Vertigo titles will most likely not get any sets either. It should be interesting to see what happens in the future. It's an exciting time to be a DC Comics and LEGO fan. I'm very excited for the Batman v Superman (or I like to call them Dark Knight Returns) sets and I can only imagine how awesome the Batman '66 batcave is going to be.- 8,446 replies

I must say that this is an exciting time to be a Batman and LEGO fan. Never did I ever imagine that we'd be getting TDKR Lego! That's a dream come true. I love the armor Batman minifig and I'm really digging the cinematic Wonder Woman minifig too. I understand that everyone's sick of getting the usual Batman in every DC set but let's be honest with ourselves, Batman's the messiah of DC Comics. There's no way DC could sell without him. That's why we're getting another Batman movie, not a Man of Steel 2 (I don't care what Zack Snyder says, it's not Man of Steel 2). I'm more than game to finally get an Elongated Man, a Red Tornado, or even (and most definitely) a Kyle Rayner GL minifig but if Batman must be included for these sets to sell, so be it. Bring on the Batmen!!!- 8,446 replies

I'm excited for the Deadshot set. It'll be nice to get an accurate Deadshot minifig with the white head. I'd love to see a minifig-sized batpod done correctly, but I'm not getting my hopes up.- 8,446 replies

That's funny. If anything, I would think that people would think the Javelin's too small. I think it's the perfect size but it's definitely a lot bigger in the comics and in the Justice League television series. -

I would say good afternoon where I'm at. ;DI don't think the intergalatic girl is a bad choice. I like the CMF goth girl because she's got the bangs that Supergirl has. -

The Hawk Man minifig is a huge pleasant surprise. He's not a very popular JLA member but he's definitely one of my favorites. I'm really excited to get him. I was hoping for the classic Green Arrow with the hood but New 52 Green Arrow is better than none. Best. DC wave. Ever. Also I'll bet we get new 52 Supes in the Brainiac set. -

Meh, he's still Dick Grayson in my book. I don't need two variant Tim Drake Robins. I took my Robin from 7885 and used Faora's hairpiece. He looks just like Dick Grayson from Young Justice. ;) -

You're right. It's never been officially confirmed but I like to think the first Batman sets were Dick Grayson. I own 7885 and the Robin in that set looks like he'd be Grayson with the suit and the friendly grin. I guess I'd imagine Todd with a more of a smug grin. But that's where our imaginations come into play. -

I'd easily take a Red Hood over a variant Robin any day. Jason Todd's the only Robin we're missing in Lego form for heaven's sake. I just think it's unlikely to get a Red Hood in a set that's underwater based and like I said, Red Hood can take care of himself. I'd love to be wrong though. Red Hood's one of my fav Batman characters especially in Battle for the Cowl. ;) -

It's not going to be the Red Hood. First of all, the Red Hood is a nemesis of Batman's. I know what you're going to say, he's also been an ally. That's true but Jason believes that only killing can rid the evil of Gotham and Batman believes the opposite. They're more commonly known as rivals. Secondly, the Red Hood can take care of himself. He doesn't need Batman rescuing him. It's just Robin in a diving suit with a red diving helmet. -

That's too bad. To each their own, of course, but I think the Milano is easily the best set of 2014. -

Yeah, so far Agent Grayson is the popular answer. I hope it's not him though. -

I think he meant that concept for future games. I agree that we haven't seen it yet but we'll see it in the new Zelda game and of course, Smash Bros. DLC is also popular with hardcore gamers and that is being incorporated into Mario Kart and eventually Smash Bros.
