  1. A most excellent review. I have to say this set uses some very nice techniques like the frog table; I agree that a 4x4 round would look better.
  2. Obviously your next step should be the mansion above it with the secret elevator access.
  3. Looks fine so far, but I was excited when I thought you would have a mountain layout with trains running at different heights.
  4. If you have to pay the bills, you have to pay the bills right. As far as eBay fees, set your reserve at the minimum you would take plus those fees.
  5. Congratulations folks.
  6. I just watched the teaser video on YouTube and they hint at a UCS-sized Enterprise with a brick-built saucer. That could be really good.
  7. I think it looks great and you got the letter spacing right. I also like to third floor office.
  8. Unless it simply has to be a technic set, 8157 Ferrari is a far superior model to Silver Champion.

  11. I have to agree, all the entries have been amazing.
  12. This is very nice. Good colors and an excellent facade.
  13. Most excellent fountain design.
  14. This is really nice and it even as a bathroom. Love the bunny fig.
  15. I know that everyone loves big sets, but I really wish they kept the price and size in line with the other sets. I do dig the snowplow. I also think its going to look out of place with the other Winter sets because its so large.
  16. It doesn't ruin the building for me, I think its quite nice, but it does break from the rules and conventions of the modular system, ie. buildings are either connected in a row, or they are corner units with the side walk around two sides. FWIW I really like your details, like the patio heaters.
  17. This is pretty dang incredible.
  18. I really like all the work you put into making it look weathered. I also love the workshop upstairs and the unique way it opens up. The lack of connection points, the shrubbery, and railing on one side means this can't be joined with other modulars. Unfortunatly those things combined with the lack of a bathroom, in either the cafe or apartment detract from all of your hard work. That being said, the amount of hard work you have put into details really show and I do like the two exteriors housing a single interior is very nice.
  19. Man, that is superb. I'm not sure about the cheese slopes at the back door, which is very nice btw, I would think a 1x2 tile would look better.
  20. I'm of two minds on this. I really like them when they are used sporatically, like on the new haunted house, but for sume reason they don't work as an entire wall face. Perhaps its because they are stacked right on top of eachother and you see long vertical lines every two studs. Perhaps staggering them one stud would fix that, but then you'd have one stud, every other row that would be regular. You'd have to cover those up with something as well. Regardless, the dark green/dark flesh combo is great.
  21. I particularly like the fornt and the recessed area in the back with the dumpsters. Nice windows as well.
  22. It is tricky, but there are two ways to do it. 1. As Kai said, choose share and copy the code provided. Paste it all in and delete everything except for the url the photo. 2. Once you have the photo you want: 1- Actions > View all sizes 2- Click on the size you want, I usually choose "Medium 800" 3- Right-click on the photot to get its properties 4- Copy the url The photo's url will be a variation of this: "http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7121/7611697976_fe374550b9_c.jpg"
  23. I would be hard pressed to name anyone in my life who doesn't think Lego are cool. I have MOCs on display in my office, placed one or two issues of Brick Journal, along with motorcycle mags, in the break room, and no one that I know of has said anything. Even my brother, who never emerged from his dark ages, thinks they are still cool. He has twins who have his old bags of Lego, and he now buys them Lego.
  24. These are both very nice. I like the colors of he bridal shop.
