  1. The Hageman brothers hinted over on Twitter that Clouse broke out of the Preeminent, rather than escaping after it died. Is this the new "Ask Greg?"?
  2. Arcturus has left the plot seemingly indefinitely. There's no reason for him or the other Generals to return, really. There's nothing they want with Ninjago that they could not have done already, and no reason to ally with humans to accomplish whatever goal they're trying to achieve.
  3. No, I think this is just an example of how the designers are trying to blend story and set more closely. Now that the Serpentine are allied with humanity, it makes sense for there to be a mix of humans and snakes on a pirate crew. The only oddball is the four-armed ghost.
  4. No, they're members of the Venomari tribe. LEGO wouldn't risk making the Anacondrai go through another color change, let alone to the color of another tribe. Anyway, the new ghost has four arms using the same piece that Garmadon did... return of Garmadon confirmed! Please don't actually do that LEGO.
  5. It's obvious you weren't talking to me, but who were you talking to? You hadn't quoted anyone, the discussion had already changed, and it seemed like you were just making an off-hand comment about Bohrok and ET and talking about how these sets aren't popular with kids, when they are. If you really were talking about the effort that goes into a piece and how it fits into a set and subjective opinion, please let me know how. Really, I'm interested to know what you meant by what you said if you were simply joining the discussion with DV and the others. 1) I wasn't attacking you. 2) ET is literally mentioned nowhere on this page outside of posts made by you and I, and the only person that has even mentioned Bohrok on this page except for Lord-Vorahk, and he was talking about the Bohrok-Kal. I physically cannot "read the posts above" to gain context on why you brought up ET and the Bohrok, and I also cannot find out who you were talking to, if anyone, because you did not quote anyone. 3) I had read the above posts, and I did not see how they related to your post 4) You didn't answer my question.
  6. What do Bohrok and ET have to do with each other? ET was already old news when Jurassic Park was released. Because if kids did care about the line, LEGO would've continued G2 in 2016.
  7. You're not looking in the right place. It's only visible on the left leg, try looking closer to the left of the bone itself.
  8. Calm down. This piece was not designed within the normal constraints of shells, it was designed for usage with the Creatures as well. All of the creatures appear to have a function of some kind, and I would imagine the set designers had difficulty creating functions within the size constraints of a $10 set and normal CCBS pieces, hence why it has so many methods of attachment. I did actually look at it, and I disagree with you. There's a sliver of white between Kopaka's leg and his armor. There are definitely some perspective issues with my idea, but it's not out of the question competely. But suppose I am actually wrong, I'm going to ask you again: What's the big deal? You've already got CCBS shells in a variety of different shapes, sizes and colors. LEGO doesn't need to keep making more shells exactly the way they set out to once, they've already done that. CCBS won't die overnight simply because LEGO introduced a new piece, and if LEGO really is using this as a transitional year into a more Technic-focused building system LEGO has their reasons for doing so. Frankly, I've been trying to find ways of a Technic-style building system being re-introduced with the versatility of CCBS shells as armor and I'm amazed at how simple the solution is. ...what?
  9. I was confused there for a moment until I realized you meant Titan Takanuva, not the original Takanuva Ahh, I see now. Thanks for pointing that out!
  10. Can't seem to find anything with Google on a Pagan god of the hunt that had a deer's head as his own head, but maybe you're thinking of Hircine from The Elder Scrolls?
  11. Dan and Kevin Hageman just confirmed on Twitter that Shadow of Ronin is, in fact, canon. EDIT: They corrected themselves! Realm of Shadows is canon, not Shadow of Ronin It raises its own set of questions, though. So that means:
  12. edit: whoops, forgot I had this quote here. Can't spot what you're talking about, sorry. Your argument is relying on the idea that LEGO manufactured equal amounts of Star Wars sets as they did BIONICLE Love what you did there by ignoring what I said. Do these pieces attach, in some way, to CCBS limbs? If so, then you're agreeing with what I stated. But what's your point? You've gone on about how this piece is so useless because it can't even attach to ball joints. Except that it can, because if you look closely you'll notice a ball socket.tucked away behind some axle holes. I'm in full support of this piece's existence: unlike your average CCBS shell it's not going to be virtually impossible to use in a System or Technic MOC, and it's perfect for usage on vehicles. It combines the best of all thee worlds: axle holes, pin holes and a ball socket. If you want to keep hating it: you've already got an abundance of perfectly good CCBS shells that are still in production, no one is forcing you to use it or buy Kopaka, Tahu and the Creatures. Unless you're talking about Krekka or Toa Mata Nui, I'm not sure what you're referring to. Virtually every set that constructed the lower legs of a character was a titan, and the pistons on the back of the legs were hardly out of place. Even so, none of them are as awful and gappy as Umarak's.
  13. Yeah, but even when G1 made a Technic-built leg they were at least decent. After thinking about the new Technic shell, I'm actually really excited for it. I've noticed that because it uses pin and axle holes on the sides, it will be able to be implemented sideways on a leg.I've also noticed that Onua's arms are attached by the Glatorian necks, and his shoulder armor (probably late on this) is Skull Basher's torso. Also noticed some gears on Ketar, possibly confirming that the Creatures have their own functions. Haven't read the last few pages, so sorry if I'm late on all this
  14. So a piece is immediately useless because it won't attach to CCBS limbs (spoiler alert: it does) but will attach to virtually every other piece in LEGO's entire piece library?
  15. inb4 '08 socket syndrome is back I was actually for armor with pinhole attachments but it looks so ugly and has one of the most obscure and useless designs. edit: I've looked over the piece again. It's got more connection points than I noticed at first glance. Still a bit of an oddball piece when it comes to new sets. Anyway: Pohatu LEGO somehow managed to make his colorscheme even worse than this year's, how is that possible? His mask is recognizably the G2 Kakama, but the rest of him is completely different. Unless his color scheme changes, I definitely will not be buying him. Lewa I'm amazed at his lower leg design, using a Glatorian neck and the Vorox armor is especially neat. I'm worried about how much that's going to stick out in front of him though, and I'm not terribly fond of his mask. His weapons aren't anything to go on about, every single one of the Toa bar Onua uses that piece an they're not similar to this year's version in any way. I'll probably buy Lewa when I get the chance. Gali Blue, trans blue, silver and... trans neon orange? Blue and orange worked for the Bohrok, but I'm not sure it will work here. Best to wait for pictures on that, but I hate the new Kaukau and I think her weapon looks dumb. Tahu Could it be? Could LEGO have finally made a consistent metallic colorsche- oh wait there's silver on Tahu's mask . That'll probably be changed when sets come out, so I'm not going to go on about it. How is the Skull armor attached to him though? It's floating in mid-air... also, his weapons seem to have a "strike" function. The Hau is lame though. In spite of his problems, I like him. Onua Better here than he was in the other photo. I like the idea of his weapon, but knowing LEGO it's going to be awful in execution. I like his color scheme, but I think there's way too much gold. He's significantly less bulky compared to his 2015 version, and his Pakari is uglier and almost unrecognizable (also, silver frill). Don't like him a lot, he just doesn't look that great. Kopaka Original set looks pretty bad, but I can't make out much of it. I'm curious about his shoulder, though. They're almost entirely Technic... what's going on, LEGO? People called this year a transitional year, and I'm finding it hard not to see next year as one with how much Technic is being integrated. The Creatures All of them have those out of place silver/gold faces, and I hate that. Walking bear traps are dumb, but I can forgive all that if the sets have functions (which they seem to). Have to wait for people to actually get them before I can comment too much on them Umarak the Hunter I don't like him at all. He looks like something a cult would worship. His shoulder armor confirms that the bear traps are functional, but I just can't get over how over-the place he is.
  16. They're still there, on Instagram. I'm literally looking at them right now. As for the sets, eh... I'll skip them. They're not some strange mix of tech and medieval like the Sentinel faction from LEGO Universe, it's Ice Planet on robo-horses and motor driven catapults versus lava demons. There is some stuff that I like, such as the flying robo-horse (which I must say is an awesome blend of tech and medieval styles) but the rest is ludicrous, and I say that as a long-time NINJAGO fan. If the colorscheme was better and every ship carrying the normal robo-horse happened to have its cargo magically disappear, I'd probably like it better.
  17. The Youtube and Facebook communities in general are awful, even if you gave them official pictures they're still going to whine about everything because that's how they do things. People will remain ignorant, even when the sets are released, oblivious to being wrong. Nothing's going to change that, either. We would have these issues even if sets were released before we got pictures. As for classic sets not having as much building as the new sets do, no, it's what you are stating that could not be further from the truth. A comparative price example reveals the exact opposite of what you are saying. As an example, Brutaka and the original Makuta. Brutaka adjusted for inflation costs $23.64 and has 193 pieces, Makuta adjusted for inflation would cost $25.90 and had 199 pieces. The only set in this entire year that comes close to either one is MM vs SG, priced at $30 with "only" 171 pieces. Even Speeda Demon, not accounting for inflation, had 192 pieces... at a price of $35. Of course I'm not accounting for Jet Rocka, but there are exceptions to him in the price/part department when you go through a list of G1 Titans.
  18. Eh... not a fan of Onua's continued bling-bling and lack of resemblance to Master Onua in shape and mask. Tahu has way too much gold. Not a fan of walking bear traps for enemies, and Umarak looks like something out of a cult. At this point I'll buy Lewa and maybe Gali, and I'll wait to see the Creatures and Kopaka fully before I give them judgement. Not a huge fan of this wave.
  19. Yeah, you're pretty slow if you're realizing that just now Makuta could be asleep too. Ekimu was able to communicate to the Toa (weren't the Toa's masks made by Ekimu?) because they were wearing his masks even though he was not wearing the MoCr, I would assume something similar is going on with Makuta. Fun fact: The heroes have destroyed more of Okoto than the villains. Out of the total destruction caused by anything in the series so far, from least to most, it goes: Makuta < Skull Villains < Decay < Pohatu < Onua < Ekimu So much for the good guys
  20. What? We haven't even seen the full MoUP, all it does is emit smoke as far as we know and that could have easily been a by-product of its nature, not anything Makuta intentionally designed it to do. We haven't seen all of the masks either one of them has made, anyway.
  21. Makuta has no "personal use" for the MoCr. As far as we know, all it does is make people younger and create magic masks, which is probably the exact same thing the MoCo does too. It's a book blurb and a Shop@Home advertisement, it's not like it's actually canon. But even so, you quoted the book as Nowhere does it actually state that Makuta is going to use the masks, only that he's searching for three masks that will allow him to take over the world. Nowhere does it state how these masks will allow him to take over the world. I suppose I'm stretching it a bit here, but by obtaining the MoCr he has the capability to ensure victory by destroying it. But like I said before, the blurb of a book is not canonical. I'm surprised anyone read that deeply into them, it's been a common trend in any story-based line for the marketing team to make a bunch of mistakes in the media. For instance, the blurb for book #2 "Attack of the Robots" from Exo-Force is literally copy-pasted from the first book, picture and all.
  22. Makuta's objective is to find the Masks of Power. Makuta's goal is to use them to take over Okoto. By stealing the MoCr Makuta fulfills part of his objective, by destroying it he ensures victory over the Toa and his dominion over Okoto and the lands beyond and has fulfilled his goal.
  23. Makuta is hoarding the masks. So attempting to collect the MoCr fits into that goal, it's just that by destroying it he apparently removes all hope of the good guys winning.
  24. (apologies for late response) We do, but I've found that those pieces disintegrate with age relatively quickly. Some just simply crack, others become unusable.
  25. Lewa is amazing. From what I can see of Tahu, he's coated in gold Glad that the Toa are going to have similar builds to their Masters forms but are still different, but I'm disappointed with Onua.
