  1. I bought this set today. It's really nice, the cannon is cool and I like the inclusion of 5 1x3 tiles. Good part selection The Minifigs are great, too. The Arc is plain awesome. Only downer of this set is the price raise. It's really hard to swollow.
  2. Thanks to all for the comments. You're right. I didn't noticed it after you pointed it out. The uneven look gives it some cool dripping effect.
  3. Right, in both points. Thanks to all for the replies, very appreciated.
  4. Wow! These are absolutely stunning. The Hobbits are great, as is the new ring mold. Boromir looks fantastic. The figures alone justify this line. This is a winner
  5. I really love the Uncharted game series and with the release of the CM Series 6 I tried my own versions of the game characters. In my opinion the sleepy dudes hair is perfect for a Nathan Drake minifig (maybe a little bit to light). I hope you enjoy them. The fleshy one is my own interpretation of Drake. The yellow one are inspired by the second game, Among Thieves. The complete gang, Chloe Frazer, Victor Sullivan, Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher. Yellow vs. Flesh
  6. Name: Venomari Shrine Setnumber: 9440 Theme: NinjaGo Year: 2012 Parts: 81 Minifig: 1 Price: €7,99 Bricklink My first purchase of the new NinjaGo wave. I really like the new Brick Brick and in my opinion it's a cheap way to get a good amount of them. But enough of my opinion at the moment, let pictures speak... Box Front Box Back Box Side Contents Instructions Random Page Pieces of interest. Nice printed part, two lime new snakes, brown slopes and six brick bricks. Nice selection. Minifig Front Minifig Back Minifig armed and amoured. Random build status Build completed Spare parts Complete set. The play feature works fine. The distance between set and snake is the actual "throw" result. Final thoughts Playability: 6/10 The playfeature is nice but nothing special. Minifig: 8/10 You can't beat a white ninja. Also the shoulderarmor is nice and the new mask looks great. Parts: 9/10 You get alot of new parts for very little money. Snakes, staff, brick bricks are all great. Price: 10/10 The set is worth every cent even when it's only for parts. Total: 33/40 I like the set. It's cool looking and fits nice in the new direction the theme is going. The included parts are great and I will purchase a few more of this set only for them. If you like the new parts and Ninjas, this set is a good start or extension. Recommended.
  7. I was playing around with some building ideas. The result of my effort is this speeder. Enjoy. A small and heavy customised speeder, not capable of high speed chases, but it gets you from here to there. What it misses in speed it adds to firepower. Two guns are mounted in front of the windshield. A pretty nice cruise to get along in the future Whole view Alternate angle Back Power battery inside the front
  8. After a few months of lego building break I finally found some time to get back in business . Here is my first MOC after the break. Enjoy. The custom build star fighter is a one man, non droid operated vessel. Two front guns are located under the cockpit. The whole cockpit is heavily armoured and gives the pilot some kind of security. The back of the fighter is kinda bare. The engine is modified to give the ship some extra power and move the heavy front at some proper speed. The real surprise is the moving wings. They can turn 180 degrees left and right. This feature gives the ship advantage in fast maneuver. Whole view Cockpit (it resembles a dragons head, hence the name) Engine Moved Wings
  9. It's coming to DVD and Blu-Ray Oh, and it comes with an "Ian" minifig Blu-Ray
  10. Thank you very much for all your comments. Me too I used dark tan plates to build the ground, on one side I used a green plate to indicate fertile soil. This is the good entrance Doesn't keep the plants from growing everywhere else That was the intention, even her name is similar. Yeah, it's funny. Every figure with this hair looks automatically like him. On the otherhand, I love this hairpiece
  11. Very nice Vig. I like the deep snow and the footprints are a nice touch. The lightsaber hilt as a silencer is a nice idea. Great work Peanuts
  12. The new PotC Movie inspired me to build my own Fountain of youth. I tried a more building like structure and a more modern group that found the fountain. The structure itself is only a ruin. The top once was closed by a wooden roof, but over the ages it fall apart. Enjoy. A group of adventurers finally arrive at their destination, the Fountain of Youth. All of them were stunned by the look of the spring. The Leader, Thomas, and the female Pilot, Amy, approach the Fountain. Fountain 01 by plisskeneb, on Flickr At the same moment, Paul the mechanic and brute of the group goes mad. He picks up an axe and attacks Steven, the ancient cultures expert. Stevens gun is jammed so he defend the first strike with a golden plate he found lying on the floor. Fountain 02 by plisskeneb, on Flickr There are a lot of evidence lying around which cultures visit this place. The human remains also give away a dark secret. Only one entrance gives eternal youth while the other three takes it away forever. The clue to the right one is at the ground Fountain 03 by plisskeneb, on Flickr Fountain 04 by plisskeneb, on Flickr
  13. This comes along pretty well. I love your Mister Minit designs and the payphone. I'm looking forward to the progress of this.
  14. Wow, great idea and execution. Good work I have only one complaint, with all the effort and work you seemed to put into this you should change the text "Poseable, articulated at the neck, shoulders, hips and knees" into "...hips and hands". This would fit the overall look better. EDIT Ah, to slow
  15. Here is my category 2 entry. Enjoy. Jarren Larr is one of the many bounty hunters across the universe. He possesed many ships in his career but the last one made him some kind of a legend. A civil ship turned deadly vessel, the Bloody-Bone is something to fear. Jarrens ship is a modified Firefighter TXF-1. He removed the watertanks and replaced them with a big red rotating engine which makes a constant humming sound. He added some side fins with rapid fire blasters which can swivel left and right. A security system stops firing if the blasters point at the ship itself, very clever . The water hose is now permanently attached to the cockpit and secures a safe fresh air supply. This modification makes it possible that the ship can fly in space and is capable of short planetary travels. Furthermore Jarren added a twin cannon over the cockpit. The fire rate is low but the impact is stunning The original ship was all red, but over the time and the many battles it fought the color fade. To give the ship a more unique look Jarren painted large parts of the ship white. This color combination looks gentle at first and can lead enemies into a trap. A method well approved over the years. The actual color and its somewhat skeletal structure gave it the name The Bloody Bone. Someother gruesome details rest in the cockpit area. The back is lined with fine leather. Not gruesome at first but the fact that it is wookie leather makes it disgusting for most people . The second gruesome thing is that Jarren used arms of an unknown species as handles. 16. Just one word: stunning.
  17. Great walker, I love the "blackness". The driver looksreally bada**. Great work and good luck.
  18. Nice review. The set looks way better in hand. The carriage is well build and the print on the horses is This wave of Castle sets looks like the best in years.
  19. Here is my entry for Category 1. When on ground, top-class Bounty Hunter Bossk relies only on his trustful Speederbike. It's speed and the powerful guns mounted at the front both give him an advantage over most enemies. The vehicle is a "Warrior" class speeder bike Type WHB-4681, highly modified by Bossk himself. The rear engines where replaced for more powerful ones. The heavy front armor was removed to make the speeder more agile and lightweight. Bossk also added two chains to the bike, only for the mean look and the now legendary name Bossks Chained Warrior 01 by plisskeneb, on Flickr Proud owner Bossks Chained Warrior 02 by plisskeneb, on Flickr What a poser Bossks Chained Warrior 03 by plisskeneb, on Flickr
  20. Thank you for all the comments, very appreciated. You're totally right. I played around with different combinations and ended with this style for the minifig. The whole blackness of his outfit was gone. I'll improve the look in further GoT Mocs. I promise
  21. Thanks everybody for the comments. Thank you. It was my first attempt at such a perspective. The building is ca. 40cm high. Here is a behind the scene picture of the build. Enjoy. Behind the Cell by plisskeneb, on Flickr
  22. Thank you all for the comments. I'm planning to start reading the books, but at the moment I only know the tv series. Sorry for any inaccuracies. The tv show is fantastic and I can't wait to see the next one. By the way I build a second MOC for the show: Jon Snow at the Wall. Seems I'm in a GoT building mood I also have an idea for a MOC featuring Arya, my favorite character.
  23. I'm a little bit in the mood of building, so here is another small MOC inspired by Game of Thrones. Enjoy. Jon Snow, the bastard son of Eddard Stark, joins the Night's Watch. Their purpose is to guard the Land of Westeros from the things that crawl in the "land of always winter". To make this possible a ice wall was build thousands of years ago. The wall is over 700 feet high and gives a fantastic view over the cold and dark land. Here is Jon getting his first glance of his job to come. 24. This MOC is based on a scene of the last episode of HBO's Game of Thrones which impressed me very much. Enjoy, but beware of spoilers! Tyrion Lannister, the imp, was captured by Lady Stark and brought to her sister Lysa Arryn. She resides at the Eyrie, a giant fortress. At this fortress Tyrion is put in a sparse prison cell. There he realise that these cells are no ordinary cells. The fortress is so high, the cells only need three walls to hold the prisoners captive. Tyrion Lannister in the Eyrie prison by plisskeneb, on Flickr Tyrion Lannister in the Eyrie prison 01 by plisskeneb, on Flickr The look of this scene was great. I don't know the books so I was really surprised to see the open side of the prison cell and the hundreds of meters to the ground. I tried to capture this feel with some kind of forced perspective. I hope it worked out.
  25. Thank you all for your comments.
