Yay! I've just spotted Smash and Grab at a store! It seems like the new wave is finally trickling into Australia. I was concerned that they may have skipped the Raid VPR and this set.

Well, not necessarily. I'm not the largest Toy Story fan, but I like the sets a lot. I can't really imagine, for example, Woody's head as a normal head. While I'm not very fond of it, there seems to be no other option... Of course, you have to remember it's essentially a toy of a toy. It doesn't seem like a large issue to me, though... On another topic, to fix the lack of a Jessie minifig, I'll be getting Woody's Round Up soon. If I get the garbage truck set, then I will have a much-needed normal version along with the dirty one.

Ah, I see. I thought it might have been a fish piece, but I wasn't sure.

Interesting crossover with other themes. Nice idea. There's a clear thingy next to the buried clone trooper, what is it?

Amazing. Lots of detail in the structure, too, like the decorative sand gear and droid bodies.

A bit gory, but nice. The crucifix is great.

That's great. Having been a recent owner of this set (in fact, got it two days ago), I must say this is a great improvement over the original. I'll consider modifying mine too, but currently I don't have the parts. While this may not be entirely accurate, I think it's good enough. I'll also modify other parts, if I have the time and pieces for it.

Is the whole thing an enlarged bathroom? However out of place/strange as it may be, the bath works well with the building. Lots of gold scorpions!

Speak for yourself! Unless these come out at a store other than Toyworld, of which there aren't any near my area, it will be impossible for me to get any. I wonder what the next series, if any, will contain. Of course, if I find that they won't come out near me, I probably won't have any more interest in them. On another topic, I thought a while ago it was stated that the minifigs were good despite being made in China. However, for some reason, people increasingly say that they are in fact not as good as previously stated. I've owned only a few Chinese minifigs (all of them Toy Story minifigs) and I have noticed looser joints (appearances aside).

If you haven't noticed from the info on the left, I live in Australia, where virtually every set is more expensive than it actually should be. This is also why I make my decisions based on price, as some things are similarly priced, while some others are worse. Of course, I'm talking about Australian dollars here... EDIT: Oh, and the set isn't out here yet.

Hmm, interesting. It has a sort of classic feel to it, and it isn't as flashy/fantasy-based as others, so it's a bit of a departure from castle sets we've seen recently.

As I've just noticed in CopMike's review. I'm not too fond of those pistols, so I may switch them for the guns commonly used in Star Wars sets. This is a rather hard decision, because the base costs $130 or so, which is a bit more than I would have liked. I think I still will get the base, though.

Ah, so there are two of the axe-guns, great. Craniac looks nice, I didn't expect a black head underneath. Unfortunately, if I do get this, it'll set me back $130 or so.

That's a shame. I wish it was in another colour. Does this mean we get two transparent blue axe pieces?

Hmm, a MOC based on a level in a game? I haven't (and won't) played the game, but it looks good. The hourglass is a nice addition. The lighting confused me for a while, but it does look nice with the blue, in my opinion.

Nice little set. For this set (and perhaps the others in the series, if I get them), I'll strip the motorcycles of any weapons, because they're great by themselves.

I see. Like I said before, totally fine for me. I can still use it regardless of printing. Maybe I could make a statue? If there is a hat, torso and legs in that colour, it might be a nice addition. Wow, people are getting the sets already. We haven't even had the Raid VPR or Smash and Grab sets here yet, to my memory. After much thought, I think I will get the base so long as I can afford it.

I hope they don't do that. However, if they did, the heads would be good for Smilers (Doctor Who). I think the shield on the Spartan (whatever people say to contradict calling him a Spartan, I'm still calling it that) could be a lot better (I wished it was rectangular).

Ah, okay. I thought it was just white initially. On a similar topic, is there printing on the gold version of the head? If not, it's okay, because it'd still be useful.

Looks great, with good minifigs. Desperately hoping this will come out in Australia. We seem to have missed Luke's Landspeeder and the Swamp Speeder.

A new helmet, spear, staff, minifigure-shaped trophy... I really wish these will actually come out here (somewhere other than Toyworld!). I only want a few duplicates this time, being the Spartan and three mimes (one for each face, the extra ones will still be handy). The karate guy will go perfectly with the ninjas I'm hoping to get, while the vampire and witch will fit with the zombies (which I also hope to get).

I've just discovered that not only are Toyworlds hard to access, I don't even have a branch near where I live. Terrific. Has anyone found these minifigures outside of Toys R Us or the normal retailer? If not, I may as well give up. Buying them online is not an option, especially when it's $4 a bag!

Amazing. It actually works, too. Just a thought, but perhaps it might be a good idea to glue the bricks or something, because it may collapse unless it's structured well.

I agree with those points. Are we totally sure that the new head is glow in the dark? I still can't decide whether I should get the base or not. I'll probably decide as soon as I see its price.

Hmm, now that's rather strange. I doubt there has ever been an exclusive of this type over here. I've hardly seen any sets/impulses that come in bags sold here (minus collectibles). It would be great if the impulse came out here, but something tells me there's no chance of that happening.
