  1. Wasn't 'The Legend reborn' pretty much 100% faithful to the sets? All I remember them changing was plugging all the holes with spinning screws, so the characters looked like they could actually live without bleeding to death XD. What I would like however, if for the animators to stop feeling the need to give the characters mouths. They don't need them, so long as the rest of the face is expressive enough. heck, they're supposed to be wearing masks! Its like how Optimus prime never needed a mouth. Tahu didn't either IMO.
  2. Very excited now :D. Oh, and I liked the stars too. I was baffled when people were getting annoyed about them being matoran sized. they were clearly meant to be tributes to the originals. It also allowed someone like me, who only got really into Bionicle in 2006, to own Tahu Mata without spending a great deal of money :P
  3. Had never heard of Lego fusion until I looked it up after seeing your comment. it looked cool. On a more contstraction related note, I wonder if the designs will be uniform enough that they might consider doing something similar to the hero recon team thing from a couple of years ago? Anyone know whether that was actually profitable for Lego?
  4. It seems kind of unlikely that they would use such minor characters when jumping back into the theme. From the look of the display, I see a set that looks like Tahu, one that resembles a Visorak, one that resembles a Skakdi, etc... I would certainly welcome Artakha actually getting a set, but it seems more likely that, if the image is legit, the mask of creation may be used without actual reference to him. This may be some sort of soft reboot. It's not like they'd just jump into the middle of the great beings arc. that would be quite hard to explain to new fans...
  5. I'm fine with that, I just hope we get a couple of new over-armour pieces (the ones with lightsaber-sized connectors, that clip on over the ball shells), to make the bionicle feel work a little better. Heck, maybe even ones that resemble bionicle limbs, e.g., a HF limb, with armour that looks like an Inika lower leg piece. Might be cool. One wonders what they might do with the masks as well... Brain attack heads underneath? They do allow for both front and top attatchment...
  6. I really hope that turns out to be the case, Meso. I would be really intrigued to see where they go with it. Continuation or Reboot? (the character on the display was wearing a Hau, so is it Tahu?) What Building system? (I'm starting to get a little sick of HF's one, so I hope they make another, that returns to focus on axels rather than balls). Not to mention, I always preferred the biomechanical, spiky feel of Bionicle to the sleek, manufactured feel of Hero factory. At this stage, it could be fake, but I don't have any connections in the community by which to judge it's legitimacy. Nonetheless, I would relish any return to the story of Bionicle, if only so Greg can actually get paid for his work on the story again, instead of having to do it in his free time.
  7. Got Fangar recently, pretty impressed. Love the spike gimmick, feels very BIONICLE. He's great for pieces too. He still suffers from the HF curse of weird, lopsided armour placement however. Why do they keep doing this? It doesn't make up for the fact that you haven't made a new armour shell since HF 2.0 lego -_-
  8. That torso is amazing, good job filling out the legs too. My one issue is the colour scheme. If it were me, I would get rid of at least 2 colours. (probably the red and the silver, or potentially the sand brown). The wrists also look like they can't move much. Other than that, stellar moc!
  9. Now why can't lego come up with combiners like this? It looks great, whereas the official one is, IMO, one of the worst combiners LEGO have put out.
  10. Wow! this looks great. Its amazing how full and complete both modes look. Normally when I create transforming MOCs, the humanoid form ends up looking weird to accommodate the transformation. This is a very nice piece of work.
  11. I hope that this is indeed conformation of at least some sort of release, 'cos those sets look SO GOOD in these pictures! I need those parts!!! Panthar and Mungus even look passable, but those two titans look fantastic, and seeing the Zamor launcher again hit me right in the childhood.
  12. where have you seen it? I didn't even realise season 2 was airing in English yet. I don't think I'm able to get it on TV, have you been watching it online somewhere. I've had no luck finding season 2 episode, other that terrible quality tv rips in a foreign language.
  13. Just got all the wave 1 sets for my birthday today. My thoughts: -Evo XL machine: Really cool. feels so chunky and powerful, and looks so mechanical. Articulation is limited (almost non existent in the legs) but it feels like a big hulking robot, so this works. I don't get the hate for this set -Furno Jet machine: Good, solid set. I'm never that enthusiastic about Furno sets, but this one has a good solid feel, and pulls off the main body a lot better than some of the others. -Stormer freeze machine: the torso doesn't work. The piece they use below the cockpit doesn't fit, sticks out way too far, and hinder leg movement. -Rocka Stealth machine: cool, feels solid, looks good. Those lightsaber pieces in the torso are incredibly wobbly XD. -Evo walker: the weakest set of the line, but my no means terrible. It gets the aesthetic across well. Just a shame the build is so flimsy. Jaw Beast: nice. just a fun small set. also, purple. I don't really like how the mouths of the beasts open though. It looks a bit odd. CHI Cragger pulled it off better. also... PURPLE. Flyer Beast: also really nice, but good god that tiny arm pisses me off. I LOVE how the wings look though. Splitter beast: looks good combined, but hard to pose the heads. they don't give each other enough room. Universal issue. The sets aren't big enough! I want my giant beast giant, or, at least, Inika size. These guys are tiny!
  14. All looking pretty good. I didn't realise Fangar and Fluminox had a function to their backs. I absolutely love the new shoulder armour. Just wish it cam in more colours than just gold though (and a yellow one in HF). I did chuckle when the guy said that Panthar was a special character "because he has printing on his head". Panthar still confuses me actually. He doesn't have the trans colours that would indicate a faction, so what's he doing here? I'm gong to have too get at least one of these guys. I got the first Cragger a couple of weeks ago. He is highly enjoyable.
  15. 0_0 that beast is amazing. The mech looks good too, although it doesn't really look like something the factory would make, it still has a good riot police feel.
  16. oh great, ANOTHER "If you don't like it don't watch it" argument. People have every right to complain about something they dislike. Criticism is an engine for change, unlikely as it is that LEGO listens. I'm so tired of the "if you can't say something positive, don't say anything" view. Its just stupid. There need to be people saying negative things, so people notice when they are doing stuff wrong. For the record, I have no issue with the HF story, so this isn't particular to this thread, but I'm just so sick of people spouting this argument like criticism isn't legitimate.
  17. within the thorax of the queen. look between her legs. Hmmm, the one on the bottom of the cocoon in the flea machine picture looked black though :/
  18. oh, so THAT'S why the moral point of the episode was thrown out thw window in the last 5 minutes. This explains a lot at least...
  19. do my eyes deceive me or does the queen use one of the new chima armour pieces on her dorsal area? also, combat machine looks a LITTLE better like this, but still not great.
  20. For some reason, I love tunneller beast's eyes. It looks like a solid set overall, too. Bit gutted that crystal beast's torso isn't trans blue as well, but, what ya gonna do? Still not feeling surge's machine, but the orange drill on bulk's tempts me...
  21. Crystal Beast: CONSIDER IT BOUGHT!! Tunnel beast: awww. co cute. probably the first small set of the summer wave that I'll get. Flea Machine: basically Evo walker, with a slightly better design, colour I like better, and pilot I like better. Drill Machine: looks pretty cool, just not massively exciting. Digger machine: LEGO, why downgrade Rocka to a smaller mech when you could have given this to Stringer or Nex? -_- Combat Machine: meh, may be good for pieces, but set looks like a moc. idk why, I just get that vibe. Queen: love it. Plus, new gold pieces. Evo's spider is better than his walker. Plus the cocoons are cool. Wish the Queen herself was bigger though, rather that them just including a small machine to bump up the piece count. I miss the days of truly massive sets, guess they didn't sell well or something, but I would love a Skopio scale set for HF.
  22. The one thing I take issue with is that the story features him personally meeting Mata Nui. try to create a backstory that doesn't alter or self-insert into the main canon. It comes across as slightly big headed when your self moc is a personal ally of Mata Nui (though I'm sure this wasn't your intention). Other than that, good, complex story. :)
  23. Its normal for the largest set of the summer wave to have one. remember jet Rocka?
  24. quite a cool moc. You've actually made the Carapar chest plate; a piece that has no other colours that match in, not look out of place. I do recommend you revamp the jetpack though, it looks like a mess of multi-coloured pieces.
  25. You'll find that most childrens' minds simply aren't as dirty as yours. :P But yeah, the lack of silver on Bulk was a bit daft.
