  1. Glow in the dark parts and/or printing? Dis theme gonnuh be geewwdd.
  2. Oh, god, You're the one who made that genitalia comment about Evo XL. For God's sake Lego figures have had gears and stuff in weird places for years, the Toa Mata had them sticking out of their backs. Saying it looks like genitalia on a set that doesn't even have A HEAD is totally daft. While I Don't own Evo XL Machine yet, it looks good, but there are WAY more valid flaws with it than this. And what was wrong with breakout bulk? (or 4.0, as you put it) seemed way better than the Brain attack version to me, but meh.
  3. This. just this. Also, so much nostalgia from your account pic bfa
  4. WHY WAS THAT SET NOT A THING!? Why instead did we get Rocka actually DOWNGRADING to a smaller, weaker mech, rather than giving it to another hero? And no, you may not stop until you have made a machine for stringer. DO IT NAOH!!!
  5. oh! YOU'RE the Riaso I've been hearing about on YouTube! Anyway, very cool hero mocs. A lot more variation than I put into mine. (you often make them different sizes, just like Lego does, whereas I often keep mine to one scale) Remarkable how that Kopaka Nuva mask doesn't look that out of place on a hero. needless to say, I'm impresses.
  6. Mephek, you obviously don't know the difference between "rip-off" and "homage". The reason the beasts look like pacific rim Kaiju is because LEGO were trying to reference that genre of movie, and the most recognisable movie of that kind to many kids is pacific rim. The brain concept is a wide ranging thing too, I assure you valve didn't invent it. The same is true of the large arm on bruiser. You could just as easily say they ripped of Transformers rotf Megatron. Or you could say that the entire invasion from below line was ripping off power rangers, or Godzilla, or Japan as a whole. but no one does say that. because that would be STUPID.
  7. oh, another issue I noticed. Breez tells Evo to push the bridge into the acid, evo does it, and bulk says "good idea Evo". Seriously? -_-
  8. just watched the full episode.... MY GOD. That was the most emotionally dead thing I have ever seen. Were the heroes all lobotomized immediately before this episode? The lines were terrible, the voice actors lent no emotion to the heroes thinking they might be watching their friends die. breez's solution, while in character, was randomly ruined by one bug just so that the episode could end with the villains dying dramatically, despite the fact that it would have been more satisfying had they let them live. There was no space between lines of dialogue, so it looked like the whole thing had been hastily edited together. Noone sounds right, everything felt rushed, and we get yet ANOTHER cliff-hanger that will never be mentioned again. Positives (and somehow, there were some): animation was beautiful (aside from the heroes' heads, uurgh) and the movie poster parodies in the background were really fun. Also, they at least started to have a more mature ending than "heroes beat up the bad guys" (though it was then abandoned so they could have another action scene) breez was in character, unlike everyone else (even then, she seemed to take charge constantly, has she been promoted?) But what offend me the most is that Lego, LEGO, the company that has inspired children's' imaginations for decades, could produce something do devoid of imagination, emotion, or effort. TL;DR version: unfortunately HFs worst episode to date :(
  9. Jesus Christ, that's Evo's 2nd core transplant in 2 years! what keeps happening to that guy. What makes you compare Breez to stringer though. I've only seen the mini movie, but she doesn't seem that stringer-y. No offensively daft westernisms or anything. And that's the only reason I liked savage planet's episode!
  10. I sure hope those voices were random VAs that they got just to do the abridged video version on the cheap. Noone sounds remotely right. Why was Surge randomly channelling the spirit of Nex? Why has Stormer apparently been inhaling helium? Why do everyone's faces look so weird? Why the hell did no one think to get stringer and Nex in on this and get stringer to just fire a giant subwoofer at the thing? Surely that was the most logical course of action?!
  11. so... The animation on the new special looks to be great, though the heroes' faces still look very wired. The summer sets sound quite cool too, though Crystal Beast, based on what I saw in the special, isn't nearly crystally enough. Also, the lack of Nex and Stringer saddens me. They were the only 2 characters in all of HF that I actually gave a toss about.
  12. pretty cool, very complex, yet not at all gappy, something I wasn't even sure was possible with the HF bone system. well done. Though, she seems to have some sort of back problem. The way it bends in just doesn't look natural. Also, what was the reason behind the hands and feet? They seem a bit evil, and don't really fit with the armoured theme that HF tends to go with. It looks like she's going into battle barefooted XD. Regardless, a great moc nonetheless.
  13. To be honest, I would hate to see bricks replace the constraction system (either BIONICLE's or Hero Factory's)I don't moc with system, so the pieces (which are half the incentive for me to buy sets these days) would have little use to me. Also, attempting to be compatible with system bricks would lead to an overly blocky feel, at least on a base level. The Mixels looked OK, but at the end of the day were still limited system sets. I much prefer the Buildable action figures continuing to focus on being Technic-compatible, not System-compatible.
  14. Transformers were never really "robots" (yes, I know the catchphrase is 'robots in disguise') But robot is often taken to mean machine. Transformers are not machines, they are biological animals who's cells happen to be made of metal. They have DNA, and the parts from one cannot just be used to repair another, it works like a human organ transplant. Machines, on the other hand, are constructions without life that were created by others to preform a function. Anyway... I should probably go back to talking about Lego now XD
  15. looks pretty cool, but from that mech at the start, am I to take it that Rocka is back with another, smaller set in the summer? -_- LEGO, we don't need any more of him this year, just focus on making sure ALL the other heroes appear this time, rather than some of the factory's most important heroes just being absent from major missions. Anyway, the realisation of the heroes this time round looks a little weird, but the beasts are so cool. Yet another year where I wish the sets were designed like they appeared on the show though. First Dragonbolt, now this.... Also, I hope that queen set turns out a lot bigger than it looks...
  16. Its probably because I used to watch so much power rangers, but I'm more than used to colourful machines swapping arms. I agree that I really would have liked a more complex combo ala an actual 'megazord', but this makes sense, as it kinda looks like something the heroes' Mechs could actually do during the fight, rather than HF's normal miraculous ability to upgrade the heroes in minutes for whatever threat they're facing.
  17. I actually don't think the all-mech combiner looks at all bad. I grant you the flimsy waste is an issue, but the look really works, and if something as slight as an illogically placed pin bothers you, you're analysing too thoroughly. The Hydra looks pretty cool too, just wish the armour was slightly less awkward...
  18. looks good and flows really well. The tail look a bit awkward though. Maybe add a couple more limb pieces if you have any left over. Loving the foot design though.
  19. Ordeal of Fire got 2, didn't it? Anyway, I just feel like the villains often have so little substance already, I would prefer if the battle was drawn out longer, so it actually felt like there was some sort of crisis before the heroes solve everything.
  20. seriously? ONE 22 minute thing? Why must Lego put so little effort into the story portion of Hero factory? This line deserve 4 episode WAY more than 1.0 ever did.
  21. Love the head design. The body's a bit bulky though, and I feel like you should have chosen between yellow and gold, as blue, black and silver were all being used too. Also, with the fact, and how bulky it is, it looks more like a titan set that a toa. But, well designed nonetheless.
  22. Pretty good start, but may I suggest decreasing the amount of colours in it? The one piece of keetorange armour really doesn't go with the rest. Also, is that technis assembly on the tail some sort of function? If so, cool, but it is a bit of an eyesore.
  23. My GOD, just... blown away... this guy is amazing, like the majority of your MOCs. Little bulky for my taste, but that's a style you tend to go for, and you ALWAYS make it work.
  24. This thing is adorable! pretty dang clever body design too, for something so simple.
  25. Wow, Evo XL machine looks GREAT irl. The legs, as I predicted, convey the mech feel perfectly. The whole thing looks so chunky and powerful, and Dat gear function This may even be my favourite HF titan yet, but as I obviously don't own it (or, indeed, have dragon bolt yet), time will tell... Also, REALY hoping for a huge titan Kaiju this summer, the three headed guy, or the massive shark thing behind him ( I suspect the latter may even be a playset).
