Skrall, this'll be... what, the third time I've had you as party leader? Interesting, that. -

Cronk, alright, that makes sense. I'll respect your judgement. -
Total ditto. The Wren Quests have really begun to solidify Rone as a character for me. Going over his backstory for McColt only helped expand that. The way McColt asked the question allowed me to look at some angles of Rone I never really thought about, and it kind of struck me while writing my Flipz-sized post that Dyric and Arthur are actually a lot more similar then one would think- I mean, in a lot of ways, Dyric is kind of Arthur is reverse. Dyric kind of 'starts' out with a grey-and-grey approach to the world when he enters Heroica, but over time his experiences lead him to a more black-and-white approach, whereas Arthur did the opposite. I really can't wait for the two to meet up again and exchange stories.

Heroica RPG - Quest #53: Chaos in Eubric

Indeed. The middle ground you speak of seems to be a place for confusion, where many are caught up in and lost. As you said, it is all the better that men like us choose to simply see our duty, and do it. And when I return to Duplovia, I will indeed take up your offer, sir. I thank you a hundred-fold for even considering it. Greetings again, Vipera! It has been a long time, but as you said- friends are never forgotten. I only apologize I could not accompany the others to Dastan to aid you in your battles. Haddon left scars on me that will take forever to heal, you see. Some sights can just not be unseen. I will go to the Hinkwell Store. I have had some business with the Hinkwells, and it would do me well in my quest to make sure they survive. As for you newcomers I gesture towards Phil, Malleio I am afraid I am not familiar with you. My name is Dyric Rone, pleased to make your acquaintances. -

I'm kind of surprised to see all the Sail Barge hate. IMO, it looks a lot better than the old one. -

Sir, with all do respect, I don't believe in grayness, not how Arthur does, anyways. Now, I realize you asked three questions, but believe me, my explanation shall answer all of them. First, though, we should go back a little. I was born in Duplovia. Did I ever tell you that? It's a beautiful city, built in the ruins of the first city of Duplovia, a place inhabited by giants of old. My family had a long reputation of being the bodyguards for the royal line. We were all trained in the ways of rogues so that we could easily track down any assassins or schemers against the throne. I was proud to be serving the king as I was. Those were amazing times. I remember my first assignment- I was tracking down a criminal named Sio Lezz. He wanted for theft of the Queen's valuables, and I was determined to stop him. When I found him, however, I found the strangest thing. He had exchanged the valuables for gold, of course, but he was using it to help charity. I was horribly conflicted. In the end I let him go with a warning, that next time we meet i would not be so gracious. Years later, everything changed. You see, the throne was usurped by a man named Simoral. King Simoral instantly changed everything- but one thing of note was the fact that he outlawed all rogues. He saw them as vile, disgusting creatures. That meant my family and I. We were punished. Horribly. They sent soldiers I had served with into the streets and captured everyone of value to us. They caught them and executed them in the most horrific ways possible, all before our eyes. That included my father, and someone I was... close to. The only one that escaped the massacre save my brother and me was a friend named Quelirro Nosi, who was a pikeman in the army. I was banished, stripped of everything but my clothes. I couldn't believe any of it. The very county I had served for had kicked me into the streets. That was the day I began to wonder truly about grayness. I began to think back to Lezz, and how the supposed criminal was doing right. Yet again, I was horribly conflicted. Indeed, I began to believe the whole world was turning grey before my eyes. That was when I wandered into Heroica. You see, Eubric was shattered and falling apart. I found at home there. As for Heroica... it was so different. Everyone had all these different backgrounds and stories, and yet there were all the same in a way. I can't explain it. Furthermore, this offered me a chance to help people again. I took the opportunity when I could. As I ventured, I found more and more that life was not as grey as I thought. There were characters who very clearly were black- like the Lady Wren, for example- and those who very clearly white- like Heroica, and I realized that maybe the world was black and white after all. This is where your other questions come in. You see, after the battle at Haddon, I was horrified. Even in my torture, I had not seen that much bloodshed. I was determined not to cause so much wanton violence again. You see, sir, that is why I never went to Daston with the others. I saw that things were going to become very messy, and I wanted no part in it. I am pleased to see things worked out without my assistance, though. Instead, I devoted myself to helping Eubric. In recent months I have helped discover the true nature of one of Eubric's leaders- a venture that took place back in Triad Park, actually- and assist a farmer in clearing out his fields. Both these acts pointed me towards a black-and-white world. I realized that this was a place that was in need, and I was determined to help it. That is why I've come back now, sir. I have come back to stop Wren's rampage and wanton violence once and for all. I am not a broken rogue from Duplovia anymore though, sir. I am now a Hero of Heroica, and an Assassin of the Light, at your service. -

I'm sure the resulting noise will warn any pedestrians to stay out of the way. Bah, have it your way. I'll find something else to blow up. In a totally legal way, of course. -

You should get yourself a trainer. I can direct you to one. We'll talk about payment later. As for closing the gate, my first guess would be explosives. Do we have any on hand? -
LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
The Legonater replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The Wizard Battle, although not the Orthanc we wanted, is still an amazing set, thanks to a very cheap way to get Saruman. The Black Gate also looks great, though the apparent lack of Gondor soldiers disappoints me. We better get one before Part 3 of the Hobbit comes out, or I fear we'll never see one at all. The Corsair ship looks decent as well, depending on the cost. As for the Council of Elrond, I'll wait for better pics before I make a decision. I don't see any such function, but that tower on the side of the gate is really part of the Black Gate. It should be on both ends, really, but I'm not surprised LEGO stuck to one.- 7,499 replies

I love that sail barge- I missed the first one, so this one is high up on my list. The only thing in the gunship that interests me is the new Padme. -

I have the cash- I'd have bought it myself if I could only end up in the right quest.

Celebrating my first assassination for Heroica, I target the Master with my bow from the back. -
Seriously, though, I think this is the worst luck I've ever had in a game.

This is the most common model you're going to find, as it is minifig-scale like the current X-Wing. As a UCS model has already been released, the likelihood of another one coming out anytime soon is unlikely. -

It suddenly strikes Dyric that that was Jess on that quest, not Alexis, and he has promptly mixed up everything. Dyric proceeds to feel like an idiot. -

Good times, weren't those? If you ignore the mass battle and the fake Feltons, I mean. It suddenly strikes me that most if not all our party from that quest is here. Interesting. I pull my Briar Bow out, hefting it for the first time. With cautious, I heed Arthur's advice and target the Master from the back row. -
Ah, I had that for a time whenever I was updating my posts in the Hero Statistics page. It went away with time, though, so I don't really know.

Triad Park, huh? I know that place like nobody's business. Guts, Dak and I spent what must have been weeks hunting down Count Shadeaux down there. It shall be fun to be back again. On one hand, though, it really doesn't surprise me. There are enough cultists and going-ons for Wren to just thrive in the chaos. Haldor, old friend, it is perhaps for that very reason that I do hate her, because in her insanity she is causing the deaths of thousands. You were with me when we battled her chaos in the plains. You saw the blood spilled that day. If all this is for mere ambition, it gives me even greater cause to hate all she has done, all she stands for. I understand your thinking, friend, but I do not agree.
