Well I'm not saying they do exactly that for Star Wars - time travel and alternate realities are not nearly as well ingrained in its mythos. All I'm saying is he has proven he can preserve canon.

Frankly, I'm relieved. Not only is Abrams a fan-boy, but I love that the Star Trek movie did a lot to preserve the franchise, namely by not messing with any canon material and simply having the movie in an alternate reality. Some may consider this a ridiculous hand-wave, but I find it a stroke of genius.

I agree, I would've gladly taken more Corsairs of Umbar over a fourth Gimli. I don't mind another Legolas as we haven't gotten a lot, but this many Gimlis so soon in the line just feels absurd.- 7,499 replies

I highly doubt that. I can tell just from the stocks that LotR is doing much better than PotC - LotR is selling very well, whereas PotC sets can still be found in a few stores.- 7,499 replies

I have to agree on this point. I think it's better than people just keep occasionally putting up quests for lower levels than devoted a whole training system. It's not like we get an extremely steady stream of new players anyways.

I attack Archer C from the back row with the Cat 'O' Nine Tails -
The first dozen times I went over this I kept reading 'drowned' and was wondering if there was some horrid twist in the battle come up.

Not to mention Coleman Trebor in the AT-TE! This is going to make it awfully hard not to buy that set. -
He's cooked and eated Teuthisals before, it's not that much of a stretch

That was my thought as well. Dyric would gladly assist Haldor in the decapitation. On the subject of Triad, I also echo the lament that it's really a shame she - as well Bal and the others - din't stick around for very long. With the amount of NPCs, Dyric has barely gotten a chance to know any of that party, and they seem to be all the ones who are dying .

G, I wonder where it went.

More of these wretched mechanics! They're disgraceful things, I tell you. I attack Cleric A from the back row with the Cat 'O' Nine Tails. -

I nod in awe. Very well then. Good luck, Atramor. This will indeed be a memorable sacrifice, whichever way it goes. -

I have spoken much about sacrifice. But I believe there is another word we use for Atramor's actions. Suicide. As much as I respect this decision, is it worth it? If it works, it would surely bring an easier battle, but I do hold my reservations. -

Frankly, I've never understood all the Ewok hate. -
To be fair, I think it would make sense that Dyric trained her. Really? She always struck me as the type that would address specific people and get under the nerves in a Kahn-sort of way.

Heroica RPG - Quest #53: Chaos in Eubric
The Legonater replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ah, welcome to Assassin-ship, Alexis. It's pretty fun. I agree with Atramor, if we try to cover all our bases again, we'll be dead before we even raise our weapons. Now, I don't know either of these folks very well, so sorry if I sound callous when I say we have to sacrifice either Mallelio or Triad. Frankly, though, sacrifice is a large part of life, as I've learned. It comes to all of us in different shapes or sizes. It's what we do with that sacrifice that matters. The sacrifice of these men today - as well as any of us who fall in battle - will be a noble one. They, we, will die defending Eubric, defending Heroica. They will die defending all that is good in this country. Know that death today will be far from in vain, but rather a strike of honour on all our houses. Today will be a valiant fight, like the stories of old, of good and evil and shining knights giving everything they all. Tonight there will be blood, of that I am certain. but there will be joy and peace and prosperity of the light our forefathers never knew. So be prepared, then, to give everything you are. For Heroica. For Eubric. For the men and women and children who lay hunkered down behind the once-safe walls. Today we fight.
