  1. First time I hear this. Maybe you are right. ^^ Bingo!!! Will you be there? Wish you enjoy my work. These 9 dragons will be put together with a bigger MOC which is yet to be posted on Eurobrick.
  2. "Kowloon", literally "Nine Dragons", constitutes a major geographical part of Hong Kong. I have no idea how this name comes out but very likely people thought this name can bring luck to this tiny place.
  3. The sails.... are actually ordinary paper only. I don't have any template. I merely make some trials after I have finished building. Not a difficult task, just locate the technic pins and then punch holes.
  4. I realize this problem after I have played for 10-20 times. I shall make alteration. It won't be difficult I think. Thanks for your comment ^^
  5. If you are old enough you may have owned this toy. I loved this as I was a little child but my mother did not buy me this (LEGO neither, of course). Since then, this toy ran out of my memory until last Saturday I discovered it in a toy museum. Now I have the money to buy this toy but nowhere I can buy... The only alternative, perhaps, is to build this. As expected, it brings lots of joy to my kids. Video:
  6. This is an individual set; not to be merged with my Friends' amusement park. There is a hyperlink for the video at the bottom.
  7. For your information, I have made teacups, though that would be far from perfect: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=94838 I am trying to build various kinds of rides of an amusement park.
  8. Yup. Sorry to mislead you. I mean LEGO Friends and Power Function.
  9. Thank you, but everyone knows.... LEGO Friends and LEGO Technic are impossible combination for TLG ... lol
  10. I love dynamic creation. This is built for a local exhibition organized by HKLUG. Though I have very limited time to build it, I am quite pleased with the outcome. The video clip:
  11. Thanks for your applause, Robuko. But I can't understand why a Brit can't comment on HK's situation...
  12. I like the tower!!!!
  13. A new addition to my LEGO Friends' theme park. (Soon not to be new because I am currently building part 6). This should have been the first of the series because this is my daughter's most favourable ride in a amusement park. I don't know why I build this so late. My build starts with this big gear at the centre. That's a retired part from Star War set 4481. It helps me a lot. Of course it is always better to watch the relevant video clip than to look at still pics: My former works of the Friends' Theme Park for your easy reference: 1. Grand Carousel: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87068&hl= 2. Ferris Wheel: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87882&hl= 3. 14. Themis is the goddess of justice and law. After 1997, the suzerainty of Hong Kong has been transfered from the UK to China. Starting from this point of time, Hong Kong is deteriorating... The red architecture standing in front of the statue is the government headquarter and HK legislative council. Thank you for watching.
  15. This is the LEGO sculpture of a fat boy who wears glasses. In case you are interested in how it is built, click this link: https://www.facebook...16292386&type=1
  16. This MOC is built for a building contest of Hong Kong. Every minifig is scared of being glued. They need to escape from the attack of Kragle! Help!!! How come you are so calm, Lucy? Unikitty is also under attack! Thanks for watching this!
  17. I use ordinary paper only and it still looks good. Check it up: http://www.eurobrick...topic=87068&hl=
  18. It is much more fun not to follow instruction. I wonder I can build a lot of other animals with the creator set 31021. I have built a horse because it is the Year of the Horse according to Chinese calendar.
  19. This is a challenging task to me -- to explain what is Chinese New Year to non-Chinese. To put it in short, the Chinese New Year in 2014 starts on January 31. It is the Year of the Horse. (For your reference, 12 animals take turn to represent a particular year.) Chinese people would like to hang red banner, with words of luck/ fortune/ etc, on walls. I am no exception but I rather make it with LEGO but not ordinary paper... The Chinese character is "LUCK" in English. Another custom is the presentation of a candy box. Chinese New Year is a big festival and it is a high time for children to take as many candies as they wish. The Chinese character on the cover of the candy box is "HORSE" in English. Before I place candies into the box, instead I put some pearl gold bricks in the middle. Chinese people would hope to make a big fortune in the coming year and so they would like to see gold elsewhere in this festival. In the meantime, I also put 4 LEGO tangerines. In the Chinese language, the word "tangerine" sounds the same as "luck". Thank you for watching. Wish everyone healthy and fruitful in the coming year!!!
  20. Thanks. Actually I don't even know there is a competition. I build this only to supplement the little carousel of 10235.
  21. This is appalling to my minifigs... ^^" The carriage falls at top speed due completely to gravity. Basically speaking, bricks will be loosed a little bit after 3-4 falls but the machine can still function properly. No bricks will be detached or torn apart, except that a little hand of one of the minifigs fall out after perhaps 40 falls (ref: the following picture) ^^" The following pictures show how it functions: Want to see it in motion?
  22. Still have a chance to enter the competition?
  23. Merry Christmas to all!!! My minifigs like this winter ferris wheel very much! Want to see it in motion?
  24. This is indicated very clearly on the webpage -- it contains 41017-41025. Nothing special but the packaging. Widely available in Hong Kong but the price is not particularly attractive.
