  1. I actually think it was a great concept and very well executed. I own most all of the minifig scale sets thus far, and have enjoyed most of them greatly. I just think the line is ready for retirement. We're rehashing set after set, with nothing really new anymore. And we seem to be neglecting anything new that could be done. The minifig packs are interesting, but nothing else really does it for me. Steve
  2. I'd completely forgotten about that thread. Guess I stopped reading after my question had been answered... Maybe I'll have to go back and see what all the fuss was about... Steve
  3. I really like the Caesar one. I should have used him for my Caesar vignettes. Steve
  4. Ooooh. I like the green window panes and the roof pieces. I tried to model my Poachers of Prehistory camp on this design. Steve
  5. Wow. 80 replies. This has to be my most successful thread ever. Steve, who is still sick of Star Wars
  6. It's terribly hard to get it right. Trying to get the camera to focus on the tiny Johnny, with all the big stuff in the background has been a nightmare... Sure! It doesn't have to be Johnny though. Use your favorite figure. I'd also appreciate a brief summary of the trip from the perspective of your figure, and I'll post it as a guest column. Steve
  7. Gah! I was waiting for that suggestion. I don't think it will ever happen, though. All you would need for a good Khan is Harry Potter's hair in white or tan... Kkkkkkhhhhhhhhaaaaaaannnnnnnn! *sing* Steve
  8. It looks like he was invented in the 1920s, so that means he is probably not in the public domain (I think its life of the author, plus 70 years, if I recall my copyright law correctly, which is unlikely). Though, I wonder what the status of the copyright is... That was my thinking as well. My biggest disappointment with the Wild West line is no cows. For cryin' out loud, its cowboys after all! Steve
  9. From Washington to Lincoln, the blog has been updated... Comments are welcomed, Steve
  10. Now who is going to compile this story into a single document and illustrate it with Lego? Steve
  11. It seems we have this discussion on various forums a lot... But here are my suggestions: Ancient Greece/Rome, Farm, Zoo/Safari, World Cultures, Adventurers in Atlantis. Steve
  12. "No," replied Tattoo. "But here is a xylaphone hammer."
  13. Here is a Wild West Town, done by Barbara Werth (the Rembrandt renderer). Steve
  14. I hope we get Harley Quinn. I'd like a jester for my Castle themes. I would also like to have scene sets over vehicles, if the scene's are well done. Like Doc Ock's hideout. Steve
  15. From the pictures we've seen so far: Nothing. Though once I get a chance to inspect the boxes and get a feel for piece selection, this will likely change. And I wouldn't mind snagging a couple of the smaller Star Wars sets, perhaps. Steve
  16. What about some kind of hacienda? And a Spanish mission? Maybe we could have a Zorro theme? Steve
  17. "Its ancient elvan for: 'This story is getting a bit silly,'" explained Jane.
  18. "What kind of fantasy is that?" asked Tattoo. "A real fantasy would be..."
  19. Saloon and chapel would be nice. A ranch would be too and a hotel and a blacksmith and an armory. Steve
  20. cover the turkey, while it bakes, so it won't burn."
  21. "Well then," said Jane, "You'll need some candles, soft music, a bottle of nice champagne, perhaps some rose petals? Oh, and most definately a..."
  22. "Plain plane?" asked Jane. "Just what do you mean?"
  23. Even that wild west collage hardly measures up to some of the castle/space/town/pirate ones. I'd love to have some poster size copies of those to frame and hang up in my Lego room for inspiration. Steve
  24. Updated with funny rocks and big horn sheep. Steve
  25. I'm planning on entering this into the CCC IV: The Barrow And it opens up to show the interior. The whole grave gallery. Steve
