Sounds good! Can I be first? Steve

'S' has been done for quite a while, actually before I'd decided to start a series, so I just incorporated it into the series. Steve

The Adventures of Johnny Thunder 4
Athos replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks! I probably won't do another one for a while. I've got too much other stuff coming up (wedding) to start on a major project like these. I also have to design a Zepplin for the next story, which could take a lot of time. Steve -
'N' is for Nurse. Beyond that I don't know. These latter letters are starting to get difficult... Steve
-
I agree. I just wish they would expand it to other themes and maybe add a little more detail. Steve

Thanks for the complements all! Thanks. And I've always thought a vignette line would be great. You could get a cool figure or two along with a bunch of accessories. It comes in Harry Potter sets. I'm not sure which one this particular one came from. I found it on bricklink. There were a few more out there yesterday. Steve

The Adventures of Johnny Thunder 4
Athos replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm a bit embarassed to present the finale of my latest adventurer story. I can hear your voices of disgust and incredulity now: "He made us wait this long, for that?" But here you go anyway, but first a short recap: Pippin's plane had crashed in a mysterious valley filled with dinosaurs and she found herself captured by a band of poachers, who intended to use her as dinosaur bait. Miraculously, however, she escaped and managed to steal a plane. When we last left Pippin she was in the stolen aircraft bouncing down the rutted runway, directly at a herd of stegosaurus... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop069.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop070.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop071.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop072.jpg The whole long awaited much delayed story: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=139871&n=48 With my apologies, Steve -
Rather disappointing. The shipwreck is almost nothing at all. The highlights would be the golden dish, the crab and the green snakes. Steve

Thought I'd post this here too, since it references a new Pirate ride: Read the news article I wonder if it means that a new Pirates line is on the horizon? Wasn't there some sort of ride thing that resembled the new Castle line? Steve

Saw this over at fbtb: http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2007/01/26...5_311_25_07.txt Definately going to have to check this out... and maybe see the real thing on the way back. Also the Captain Cranky's ride might signal the return of pirates? Steve

I'm not real fond of the blue portion, but other than that it is a great building. I love the various level and slopes of the roof. I wonder if it opens up? Steve

Well sometimes you got to take what you can get... Steve

Dobby is also a good figure for making peasants (albeit ratty haggard ones) and his head can be used to make goblin hordes to harass the peasants. I also agree the Jedi robes work well too. Steve

*Updated with new pics* Custom Davey Jones fig
Athos replied to Vader's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Oh the humanity (or is that minifig-manity?), look what you've done to that poor innocent figure... Steve, the purist -
That's a great creation. I like the figure and all the junk in the wagon, but I am especially fond of the hitching. Though wouldn't oxen be more accurate? Pity Lego hasn't made those yet... Steve

I'm not real keen on the fabric balloon. It looks like its about to deflate. I also think the lights on the balloon and the tan plates at the bottom make it look less like a balloon. The basket is done well and I like the steam boiler thing (not sure about the prop though). The underside looks interesting, but I can't see how it is done very well. Steve, who wants to make a zepplin someday...

Wow, must be a party going on around here tonight. I've never gotten that many replies in such a short time... That's so he can chip and cut it down to normal [lego] gem size... There is some on the back table, you probably just can't see it from this angle. Here is a better angle... Try back later. In the meantime, however, please enjoy the rest of my vignettes... Steve
