I like almost all of them... except silly polls ;-) I tend to browse more by theme than by type of post. For instance, I will look at almost any Adventurer themed post, but will skip over almost any Exoforce related post, regardless of the type. I do like the reviews, but only for themes I collect or sets I might buy. Quizzes are fun. Polls can be fun and/or interesting. Stories and games can also be quite good. I also like to hear about new sets, but again mostly by themes, though in this instance, it is much less so. I could, however, not care less about any new exoforce sets, as I can't imagine them having anything I might want. But in the end, it all depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes, I won't even bother to look at an Adventurer/Castle/Viking/Pirate post, just because I don't feel like it. But then on another day, I'll start skimming through old posts for cool things I've missed. Steve, who thinks there needs to be a option for all of the above

The elf is doing inventory and double checking to make sure Santa didn't forget anyone... I'd planned to use Dumbledore, which, from my signature, you can see I've done before. Having packed up most of my Lego recently, however, I couldn't find a [yellow] Dumbledore to save my life... And this was the only remotely Santa-esque face I could find. Hillarious...! Well my talent does not lie with making structures with interiors, as you will soon see, as I have started work on a full workshop... :-) Steve

Last Adventurers set - Destiny's Castle
Athos replied to Graynar's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hmm... ;-) Anyway, on to the creation: I think its way too colorful. The black, light grey, dark grey and tan are just too much for my aesthetic sensibilities to take. Especially when combined with the gold accents, red flags, green vines and green car. I think if you dropped two of the structural colors it would look much better. Right now it looks like a little kid's project because of all of the colors. Not to be too critical however, I think the structure design works pretty well and its only the color scheme that doesn't do it for me. Steve, who loves to see Adventurer MOCs... -
I'd like to see an X-wing... no wait, already done. How about a TIE fighter... no wait, already done as well, several times over. Y-wing? Done. A-Wing? Done. B-wing? Done. Snowspeeder? Done. Imperial Shuttle, Skiff, Landspeeder, Slave-1, AT-ST, Speederbike? Done, done, done, done, done, done. Which is exactly why I'd like to see the line given a rest for a bit. Realistically, I know this won't happen, so I would like to see some diorama/playsets. Something with a focus on figures and landscaping. Such as Hoth Battle, Death Star (ala Cloud City, a great set), Endor Battle, Mos Eisley, Theed Palace, etc. Steve

I'd like to see a Honored Matre's sexual enslavement storyteller set... 8-

I'd like see more Harry Potter, especially with the potential for those invisible horses, giants and centaurs of the next book. I also would not like to see any more licenses, as they contain flesh tones, which I don't like. Steve

I would love to see Revolutionary War sets and to a lesser extent Civil War sets. I'd love to see George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Paul Revere done in Lego. We could also have sets of Independence Hall, Valley Forge, Continental Congress. Though I'm not sure how well they would sell. To avoid the whole war thing, Lego could do a History line. They could make small ~$10-$20 (storyteller style) sets of great moments in history. Could do Cornwallis surrendering to Washington. Ben Franklin with the Kite. Paul Revere's ride. Boston Tea Party. Then the next year they could do another country's history. Steve

That flag on the fire station is interesting. I wonder if its a sticker or not... in this case, against my usual inclination, I almost hope its a sticker. A big red flag might be useful... if not, them maybe we could have a fire faction for castle? Aren't there some flame shields out there? Steve

Much better format. It makes it so much easier to read. Thanks for doing that. Steve, who would buy (at least) one copy of the temple, if it looked anything like yours did...

Those are all under $25? I'd have thought the train and the bridge truck thing would have been more. The Krusty Krab is a nice set (though I don't like the figures at all). Lots of bricks and plates and hardly any unusuable pieces. Tie Interceptor is mediocre. Its another Tie, with the same design and the only thing that's new are the pointed wings, which get real old after you've done four of them over and over. Batman is an ok set. The figures are nice, but I didn't like the batboat much at all. The passenger car is a nice set. Lots of green, some nice windows, a door and furniture, but not much use if you don't have a train to pull it. I don't have the rest, so I don't know much about them, Steve

Very funny. Steve

Well this doesn't seem to be on point (am I being too picky about posts, today, or what?), but it does sound interesting. Though I'm not a space guy, maybe we'll get some useful heads. Steve

I believe this is in the wrong forum. As to the underlying question, I have heard, though I don't know from whom or from where, that it has already ended and there will be no HP5 sets. I don't, however, have any authority to back that up. Steve

Got to go with mythical creatures... all that green... *drool* and I love that light up brick. Steve

I've not voted for any. I don't own any of the sets in the first two categories and don't like those themes. And I've not been impressed enough with any of the KK2v3 offerings to warrant my vote. It's too much like voting for the least crappy (close call between Battle at the Pass and Kings Castle), rather than the best. Steve

Very minorly, but not to the extent I am with Star Wars. Lego has produced some good sets this past year, including some surprisingly good sets (The Krusty Krab being one). Adventurers, Classic-Castle, Pirates, Classic-Town, but those are all old lines. Currently the only one that really interest me is Vikings, and it seems to have gone the way of the dodo too... Steve

I can't believe no one suggested either a Farm or a Zoo... Steve

Hmmm, I was hoping for minifigure versions of Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and the other one, who's name I can't remember... Steve

I started it because I used to look forward to the new Star Wars offerings each year. This year, however, when I surveyed the line, I was greatly underwhelmed. I was curious if this was a purely an individual personal feeling, or if there were others out there who felt the same way. I was also interested in seeing what other people's reasons were for feeling one way or the other. Steve, who had no idea the thread would go on this long...

What is your favourite Lego-related sound?
Athos replied to Kahgarak's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like hearing the sound of bricks rattling around inside a sealed box. Brings back memories of getting the big Lego Castle at Christmas. Steve -
Sounds like we'll be needin' a gallows for hangin' Blackboot... Steve

I'm a bit disappointed, as I only got 15 right. Guess I'm Doc Holiday... *cough cough* Steve, who has also been nicknamed law-dog
