That's too bad they aren't making any more. Vikings were the highlight of the Lego themes, outshining many of the others from several years past... :'-( Steve

It certainly looks like it ;-) Steve

It looks too tall to me. Like it would tip over really easily. Steve

A Non-Lego Significant Other Becomes a Non-Lego Fiance...
Athos replied to Athos's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks all! Sadly the diamond isn't even actual size... Is that my wedding present? ;-) I love that set and would really like a dolphin... Steve -
This one actually looks pretty good to me. I like the smaller size (easier on the wallet), though I wish it was made up of more bricks and less panels. Since it is small, I'm hoping that maybe it will be modular with other additions to go with it. Steve

help me find a good Adventurers action shot

That's a nice flag. I'd love to have one of those on my wall. Steve -
help me find a good Adventurers action shot

Are you looking for something in a graphic arts style or a photograph? Either way I'm not sure that I could help, but would be interested in seeing what you find. Steve -
You'll have to forgive the severely abridged version of the story here. It was so long I had to do two vignettes to get it right and still could only include about 10% of the story. So if you want to know the rest, you'll have to go to the source and read it for yourself. But without futher ado, I present, the next two entries in my biblical vignette series: Joseph and his Brothers http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...ph-cistern1.jpg and Joseph in Egypt http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...seph-egypt1.jpg Both dreamy galleries: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=226482 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=226483 The whole bible: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=162415 Steve

Very interesting. Let's hope they are as good as the Krusty Krab. Maybe we'll get some pics soon. Steve

A most impressive ant! Maybe we could have a giant insect theme, similar to divers and Vikings? Steve

If you look at the Star Wars page, in the same gallery, the AT-ST driver is different from the one in the official set. No glasses. I wonder how accurate that picture is? Steve

Is the '07 Castle a step in the right direction?
Athos replied to Echo's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It is a step in the right direction, but no where near as nice as the classic sets. These, however, are compatable and can be integrated into classic-castle, unlike the KK2 nonsense, which was so utterly different in color and style. All in all, I'd put these sets about on par with Fright Knights, which in my mind was not a terrible theme, but not my favorite either. Steve -
Who cares about historical/scientific accuracy? Its a Lego theme. There really weren't undead skeleton armies in Castle times, Vikings didn't battle giant dragons, there are no martians on mars, etc. I'm quite interested to see what will come of this. I'd love to see Lego do an official line based on this too, Steve
-
This sounds like a great theme. If it was done right, I'd definately be all over it. Looking forward to pics, Steve
-
How about we organize some sort of trade whereby those of us who dislike the new skeletons can trade them for the old ones? I'm up for trading any new skeletons I get for the old ones, in a one for one trade, Steve

But if we could eat Lego... Steve
-
I'm loving that tan house. Its about time we got some houses in a color scheme other than white with red roofs. The ferris wheel is a nice idea, just not my thing. And the dino I will pass on as I don't need any more black pieces. Steve
-
Gah! Looks like Exo-force in space... with a dash of life on mars sprinkled in for that little extra touch of crappiness. I am curious to see the figures with the line, they might make it partially salvagable, particularly if the aliens are done well... Steve
-
Train station looks great, if a bit too small. And I really don't need included track... I don't like the single piece dumper on the truck. That new switching piece looks interesting too. Steve
-
The tank doesn't do anything for me, but a bane figure might be nice. The biplane, however, looks very nice. And another Scarecrow would be a welcome addition to Castle. Steve
-
Ehhh, the sets don't really do anything for me. I may snag the starfighter to get the new jedi guy, even though the set isn't that great and the ring is blechy. Though I do like the dark blue. The MTT doesn't do anything for me. I've got enough droids. I may get the Naboo fighter to get the new figures. A different color Harry hair would be nice, if that's what it is. I hope the prices aren't too outrageous, as I need to save for the Castle line... Steve
