Its a very good start. I think it looks a bit cobbled together, by which I mean, the various parts don't really flow together well. I'm guessing a lot of that is because you are limited in parts. Without a fairly large supply of parts, its hard to make something that flows together. I you've also got too many colors (black, brown, lt grey, dk grey, and blue), I would suggest sticking with no more than three main colors. You can use some others to avoid big grey wall syndrome, but the don't use any more than two or three colors. I really like the foresty hill in the background. It looks very overgrown and woodlandly. I think that's been posted before, as I know I've seen it before. Anyway its a great creation. I'm especially keen on the brick face on walls of the castle. Steve

Very cool. I'd love to have some of that in my apartment, but I think I would have to call off my wedding, if I did... Steve

Ideas for agua raiders sets
Athos replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Attack of the Merpeople: include a smaller sub, with driver, a diver, some treasure (maybe a gold trident), and a couple of angry merpeople, using the figure from the Harry Potter set (though hopefully with a more human torso). Maybe some under sea ruins. Could include a giant seahorse for merpeople to ride. Say about $30.00 or so Atlantis: includes smaller sub, with driver, two divers, two merpeople, lots of undersea ruins in ancient greek style, and some treasure. Maybe giant seahorse... Say about $50.00 or so. Steve -
Great vignette. Monkey's make almost anything funny. Steve

Its a little too James Bond like for my taste... at least as part of the Adventurers theme. I love James Bond in general. As to the MOC, it is very well done. I like how the prop fits under the jeep (though wouldn't it get all banged up if you went off-roading?). I like how the back opens up. Steve
-
Great MOC. I'm glad to see my figure was able to attend the ceremony. Congratulations Vader. Steve
-
I might have to snag that since I'd like to get the pilot and the new anakin, but don't want to buy those sets. And a Vader magnet would be cool... Steve

I like the ladder. Very simple yet effective. Steve

Thanks all! JT just has a walking stick and the leprechaun is holding a mug of beer. Steve

Some of both. I wanted some variation in the roof colors, so I didn't use the dark tan on all of them. And I didn't like brown or tan because the buildings and ground were already that color. And I didn't feel like digging out my old greys, since I'd already started in with the new colors. Steve

A what? I was going to add one, but I couldn't find my trans-pieces... Of all the times not to be able to find them. *wacko* Steve

If pieces were not an option, I'd like to approximately double or triple it. I'd also like to put a wall of rock and ice (burps) around the back of it. And I probably should have thought of this earlier, but I would like to raise it all by one brick so as to be able to put a stream or seashore in it. Steve

Very cool. I like the color scheme myself. Except for the round tiles, I don't think they match the rest of the colors. I think you should design a 1930s/1940s passenger/cargo plane next. He he he... I'm such a trend setter... X-D I'm also going to cross-post this to Adventurers.dk Steve

Then why bother with ebay? Just post them to a website where people could down load them with ebay. Seems like ebay would just be adding extra unnecessary steps... Steve

I have this one too... same status as the other poster, I mentioned here. I wonder why no one has attempted to create fan made posters, in this style, and sell them. I think this would be a good project for someone (other than me) on the forums. Steve
-
I've got that poster. I'm not sure of the condition as its on the wall of a leaky storage shed at my parents, so I haven't seen it for a few years. I should really try to get it and take care of it. I really wish Lego would make more posters like that... Steve

Unless they did some play sets with some structures of some sort (and I don't know if there was anything like that in the show, as I've not seen it), my answer is no. I am pretty much done with ships and vehicles... Steve

Well since I've run out of green plates, which pretty much puts a stop to any landscaping, this will probably be the extent of the village for a while (quite a while I imagine). Guess I'll have to work on the interiors of some now... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...s/village11.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...s/village12.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...s/village13.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...s/village14.jpg Steve

The dark tan plates only come (or at least I only have them) in long 12 (I think) x 8, which really limits the size and shape of a building. I am thinking about doing up a barn tonight though. And perhaps a blacksmith. Steve
-
Mine too. :-) I think I'll try to do a few more like it, though the scarcity of dark tan plates makes making any other sized houses hard. Steve

Here are some new pictures. I ran out of green plates and had to rework the landscaping a bit. I also added two of the buildings to the scene. Also if you look closely you'll see Odin, a Valkyrie and a Dwarf... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...ss/village7.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...ss/village8.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...ss/village9.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/In...s/village10.jpg Steve
