  1. Who voted no? I'd be curious to know why?
  2. Entry number one in my newest "Real City" theme: Tired of police, fire and rescue sets? Ever wonder where that Lego dump truck takes the garbage? Do you want realism in your Lego town? Well this is the set for you: Create your own ecological disaster with set no. 4200, "The Tire Fire". Comes complete with a dozen old flaming tires, grungy workman and junk-yard dog. Steve

  4. First, I'm quite pleased with the results of the poll so far. I hope Lego takes the hint! Secondly, after posting this poll, I thought I should try my hand at designing one of the sets. Unfortunately my photoediting skills are not up to par with Brickster's and Brickminer's, so this is all you get: Jason and the Golden Fleece You'll have to imagine the yellow flags are gold, like in the new Castle line... Thirdly, I'd prefer they be single molds with moving parts. I think these creatures would be more conducive to such a design too. More so than the vikings monsters were... Steve
  5. I'm not big on playability (I hate all the stupid spring loaded cannons in everything). But I don't know if I want realism, per se, as I'd much prefer the more romanticized fantasy ideas, over a truly historic realistic set. I think, however, that playability is going to be big goal for Lego and we are stuck with it. Steve
  6. In response to a discussion at Classic-Castle, I came up with this idea for a new line. It would be similar to the Viking line, with the Heroes fighting mythological monsters. For purposes of the poll, imagine them in similar style and quality to the Viking line. Here's my thoughts for two year's worth of sets: Year One: 1. Icarus and Daedlus: ($10) two figures with some sort of winged contraptions (like the ninja gliders). One column. (I'm not real sure about this one... anyone got a better idea?) 2. Jason vs. the Dragon ($20): inlcudes Jason, old castle style Dragon, Medea, burpy rock scenery, golden fleece (flag). Skeleton. 3. Hercules vs. Cerebus ($20): includes Hercules and fluffy. Small collonade/temple. White statute figure. 4. Theseus vs. Minotaur ($30): includes Theseus, Ariadne and minotaur figure. Several collonades, maybe on hinges to represent the laberynth. Red string to find way out. 5. Odysseus vs. Sirens ($50): includes small greek ship, with Odysseus and some crewmen. Sirens. 6. Trojan War ($100): includes Achilles, Hector and Priam. Also a couple of Trojan and Greek warriors. Medium Wall of Troy and Trojan Horse. Some Greek tents. Year Two: I haven't fleshed these out as much, but they would be very similar to the style of the first year ideas. 1. Perseus v. Medusa ($10) 2. Hercules v. Hydra and Centaurs ($30) 3. Bellepheron (on Pegasus) v. Chimera ($20) 4. Odysseus v. Cyclops ($20) 5. Jason (and the Argo) v. Harpies ($50) Any thoughts for year 3? Steve

The aerodynamic airport woman (no. 2) 3. The graceful airport woman (no. 3) 4. The classic airport woman (no. 4) 5. The aeronautical pilot (no. 1) 6. The flighty pilot (no. 2) 7. The turbulent pilot (no. 3) Steve

  15. Looks like Classic Pippin is the winner with 57% of the vote. I'll let the poll go a few more days, just in case one of the other three comes from behind... Then we'll move on to the next theme(s). Steve
  16. I think one black horse might be good, to go with the black skeleton to show he's not just evil, he's super-evil. >:-) Steve
  17. I am loving these new sets, except I'm not real fond of the new skeletons... Naughty, naughty! ;-) Steve
  18. Every couple days, I'll post a new poll with the entries from each theme. Once that's done, I'll take the top choices from each theme and then do a poll for the top from each theme. This round: Adventurers! 1. The Classic Pippin Read 2. The New and Improved Pippin Reed 3. The Mysterious Alexis Sinister 4. The Rebelous Jing Lee Steve
  19. Looks good. Though I'm not sure about the boats yet. I would have preferred the old ones. Do you have any pictures of the ship pieces by themselves? I wonder why Lego didn't include life vests (they would have fit perfectly in that little hatch at the bow). Are the green overalls new to this set? Steve
  20. Since I play with and part out my Lego and don't display them, I'm pefectly happy to forego having the box and pay a the lesser price. The boxes usually are pretty worn also, so there really isn't any value to me. Steve
  21. Lets be dangerous and find a weapon to fight with. Option C. Steve
  22. He's number 8, followed by Horny at number 9... Steve
  23. I think the logistics of this will make reading the story clunky, but I'll go with option A, also. Steve
  24. Please don't kill me. Hillarious. That makes my day! Steve
  25. I wish the planes didn't suck so bad (too many large pieces). I like all the trans-panels and windows in the airport. Steve
