Fire Extinguisher Wait until all the little kids start lighting fires so as to be able to play little fireman and put them out... Steve

Found these on brickset: Lifeguard Fire Truck Anyone know what they are? The little Magic Box emblem reminds me of McDonalds. Are they part of a new Happy Meal promotion? Steve

Found this and this on brickset. I wonder if the Impulse line will be something like these... Anyone know what magic box is? Steve

Which is better, Star TREK or Star WARS?
Athos replied to vahkimetru's topic in Culture & Multimedia
What about "Star Search?" Since all of the poll options began with "Star," I had to ask... Steve, who is a Trek fan all the way and thinks the only thing that Star Wars has on Star Trek is Lego... -
I do agree the horns stick out too far, but that's not that big of a deal. Just tilt the heads a bit and there shouldn't be a problem. The only place its been a problem for me is in the chess set. I'm also not that concerned about the big holes in the helmets, because we've been given sufficient horns to fill all the holes (and then some). It would have been nice to have the plume style connection, but then we couldn't use the horns as monster teeth and other such uses. I've also heard people complain the helmets don't fit properly and are too loose. I haven't noticed this, but then I haven't done much serious playing with my vikings yet. Steve

I've gotten so used to not seeing Castle on these lists, I didn't even think to register my disappointment with the lack of new Castle sets in the line up... Scavenger, eh? I wonder if that mean's we'll get a hobo digging around in a trash-can... Steve

A hot arid visit to the Joshua Tree National Park is now on the blog... Check it out: http://johnny-thunder.blogspot.com/ Steve

What is Lego impulse? Are they small impulse buy sets? If so, I think they have great potential... Steve

Ah, I probably should have included her with the ninjas... wonder what to do with her now... Steve

I'd planned to post a wedding vignette before hand, but got too wrapped up in other stuff and never got around to doing it. I'll post it eventually. Who's katara? Steve
-
I'll probably pass on this one. I'm over Star Wars and this doesn't seem to have any pieces I may want. Plus I've got the first AT-AT, so I don't need another one. And I'm not really interested in paying the extra for the motorized functions. Steve

Sorry, I just got married last weekend *wub* and have been really busy with wedding stuff. Besides there is only town left to do and I'm not sure how to decide which figures to use... :-| I'll get back to it by the end of the week... hopefully... X-D Steve

I agree this should wait until the other contests are finished. A prize might also be nice... If you don't have any material prizes, maybe you could convince the Admins to award a special banner/title/etc. to the winner? Steve

From the movie Secondhand Lions: Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things that a man needs to believe in the most: that people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; that love, true love, never dies... No matter if they're true or not, a man should believe in those things because those are the things worth believing in. Steve

I prefer the original. Its more in the style of the horses and other animals. The new dragon styles just don't seem to go with the horses. Steve

skeleton design discussion (new and old)...
Athos replied to Brick Miner's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I prefer the old ones. I don't like the new arms. I do like that they are more poseable, but they are also just too long. They look more like gorilla skeletons than people. Plus, I hate changes to existing pieces, as it makes compatability a problem... Steve -
Nice stagecoach. I'd be curious to see how it looks with living people riding in it. I'm not real keen on the mixing of the browns, as I find, when I see the two of them side by side, it makes the new brown look almost sickly. I'm also not real fond of the hitching mechanism. It works well here, but I'm just not one for technic techniques. I think the regular dual hitching piece would be better (or at least feel more Lego-like). I really like the grey doors/shutters. They look good and I imagine are kind of pricey on bricklink. I also really like the clasp/bar things above the window. The figures look good too. Steve

Ehhhhh... I didn't feel like editing it down. And besides I'm commenting on each of the sets, so it didn't seem to matter... and finally: ttttpppppttttthhhhhhhhh :-P Steve

Indiana Jones Lord of the Rings Some of the Bond films were good I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them now... Steve
-
Because they cost too much... I got one for my birthday and then got a free one with Market Street, so I could make a respectable glass of iced-tea now... Steve

I'm liking those column designs. Much better than my inverted slope solution. Great looking sets! Steve

Here is a tip, I haven't seen mentioned yet: Check the B/S/T forums regularly. Do this on multiple forums. A lot of times you won't find anything, but every so often you get a heads up on some great deals. Like now on S@H, there is a lot of Viking stuff for 50% off. Steve

I like my icecube tray. They are kind of fun. If they were bigger, they'd be fun for a dinner party. Steve

Great idea. I love vignette contests, because they don't take much to enter. Steve
