  1. I'm hoping the Harley Quinn set is real. Its nice to see that the mini-line may not be dead too. Other than that, nothing sounds like a must have for me. Steve
  2. Wow, I think we can call this competition. Castle Princess has almost twice the votes of the next nearest competitor... Steve
  3. I think there is potential to see a new pirate line in the near future (a couple of years or so). I don't think there will be a new wild-west line. So just given that, I'd say go with western. Steve
  4. Its not as well known as, say, Robin Hood, but I do remember reading some version of it when I was a kid. I haven't encountered it recently though. Steve
  5. Because Gessler put his hat on a pole and made everyone bow to it, as they passed... Tell didn't and was punished by having to shoot the apple off his son's head. William Tell Steve
  6. No, not the lone ranger, its another entry for the CCC5, William Tell: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...illiamtell1.jpg The whole eagle-eyed gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=284932 Steve
  7. I think this is the weakest of the lot. Though I'm planning to rework it to make it the home of my sigfig, right now its a woodcutter's shack: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...woodcutter1.jpg The whole wooden gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=284930 Steve
  8. Here is another entry for the CCC5, that I'm looking for suggestions on. The crown knights fortify a healing spring, to turn it into a walled garden. Before: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...tification1.jpg After: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...tification2.jpg And from the top: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...tification3.jpg Steve
  9. This is one of my entries for the CCC5 at classic-castle. Actually its something I did a few months ago, as a set piece for my next JT story, but have been holding for the contest. I'd appreciate any suggestions for improvements, so I can make them before officially entering it. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...gFarm/farm1.jpg The whole agrarian gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=284924 Steve
  10. Castle princess is blowing the competition out of the water! Yes, she was in the super-hero category and was throughly trounced by Catwoman. Maybe because there were a couple variations that split the vote... Steve
  11. I'm wishing for the Skeleton Tower, Skeleton Ship and the new Townhouse. Steve

  13. I'd say go for it. Steve
  14. Maybe there is a better way to organize this rather than having a single (soon to be massive) thread for contest requests. I have two ideas: (1) have a contest admin who can field PM'd requests and schedule contests; or (2) start a contest request sub-forum. Personally, I prefer the former... Steve
  15. To me, everything about them just screams Spanish... from the faces to the clothes... Steve
  16. Yuck, that's one ugly truck. Doesn't look much like an Indy vehicle to me... More like something from Tomb Raider or James Bond... I bet the Lego version is chock-full of bionicle pieces too... :-X Steve
  17. I thought I included her in another poll... I guess not. Oh well... Unless an admin wants to add her to the poll... Steve
  18. Its in one of the polls... maybe the town one...? Steve
  19. I think we'll have a final round of the winners of the previous rounds. Then we'll crown Miss Legoland. Steve

The super-star studio actress: 5. The retro studio actress 6. The wagnerian viking queen (also in red): 7. The fishy Mrs. Puff: 8. The ball-kicking soccer babe: 9. The rabid soccor fan: 10. The rocky Jet: 11. The forgotten Katara: Steve
  22. I'd kind of let this one fall by the wayside, but am coming back to it. Since there are so many, I've had to combine and omit some figures. Generally, I've based it on the faces and clothes they are wearing. With different hair styles not factoring in. I've also omitted blank torsos and stickered figures. If I skipped your favorite choose one that's in there and then do a write in of your favorite (with picture) and maybe she'll be a wildcard in the final round. So, choose your favorite female town figure from the following selected options: 1. The icy Arctic lady: 2. The savory chef: 3. The damp Diver babe: 4. The elegant EMT (with multiple variations): 5. The delicate doctor (with multiple variations): 6. The hardcore Xtreme Team chick (with multiple variations): 7. The gassy Exxon girl: 8. The firey firefighter: 9. The zebra-esque striped woman (also in red): 10. The greasy pitcrew lady (also in white): 11. The fast jogger: 12. The leather-clad biker chick: 13. The uber-chic civilian babe: 14. The elegant civilian girl: 15. The stylish civilian woman: 16. The high-octane Octan lady: 17. The premium blend Octan lady: 18. The rustic farmer's daughter (also in blue) 19. The tropical palm tree girl: 20. The super rare police-woman: 21. The scary police woman: 22. The sandy beach babe: 23. The torque'd mechanic: 24. The heroic lifeguard: 25. The aquatic Coast Guard woman: 26. The oily shell girl: 27. The petroleum based shell girl: 28. The casual Civilian: 29. The professional secretary: 30. The hard-working denim darling: 31. The intrepid reporter: 32. The upwardly mobile vertical striped lady: Steve
  23. Disappointing, but not unexpected, with the price count and set title. Steve
  24. I don't know. It felt like a pretty short-lived theme to me. I think this is, in part, due to the setting of it on Mars. There is only so much that can be done with a specific known setting like that. Whereas a generic Space line would allow for exploration of different planets (with different styled vehicles) and allow for more potential factions and sets. Steve
  25. Lego could work this issue into a system that would be great for us long-term collectors. One year they could do Castle, the next Vikings, the next Pirates, the next Romans, the next Ninjas and then after five years, start they cycle over again with a second line of each set. Steve
