  1. Those dwarfs must be trouble makers, they're locked up in both these sets... Steve
  2. Christmas Card
  3. I'll commit my one man army: And request a permanent seat, with veto power, on the security counsel. Steve
  4. Remember that fake set mock-up of Gandalf on the cart with Frodo, that someone made up a few years back, that was always popping up as proof of a Lego Lord of the Rings line? Steve
  5. How long until someone drags out that picture of the Lord of the Rings "set"? :-/ Steve
  6. My Indy Vignettes. Steve
  7. Mmmmm... snacks.... :-D Steve
  8. I'm surprised he hasn't posted it yet, but the devious Dr. Sinister has acquired the Truck Chase set and has posted pictures of it. I don't want to steal too much of his thunder, so I won't start a new thread for it. X-D Steve
  9. Perfidies of the temple? That sounds like a great name for the set... Akator's Perfidies... X-D Steve
  10. No hovito... that's a pretty poor move on Lego's part. :'-( Belloq's face is pretty bad too (isn't it a Draco reuse?) :-X But beyond that, they still look great! X-D
  11. What a bizarre set... Steve
  12. That helmet looks quite good. Though I wonder if it would look too big on a normal head. Sponge-Bob looks really off, like he's grown arms out of his head. I guess that's because they had to lower his face to fit the space-suit on him... What's the price? Is that nose cone a new piece? Steve
  13. That's a weird head. I wish it wasn't quite so cartoon-y, though since it comes from a cartoon, I guess that's a silly wish... Steve
  14. Not really. My wife bought me the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel (hey, its the thought that counts) as a graduation gift. But that's been all anyone's gotten me since I was around 16 or so. I'm hopefully this year though... Steve
  15. I'm not all that impressed with these new offerings. It will be nice to get a tent, but the river chase looks like a mess and the lawnmower isn't doing much for me at all. Hopefully, the final versions will be better. Steve
  16. I think she's got a huge butcher knife in her right hand... Steve
  17. Actually it was JoshWedin over at classic-castle, who first made the comment, but I thought it deserved a repost here... Steve
  18. Really? I thought ABQNMUSA gave it away already... Though I didn't think NM would have a good climate for viticulture... Steve
  19. It comes with a lot of figures (seven) for a $50 set, which is good for an army builder. Plus you get some great new beards and helmets. Lots of weapons and shields. Gold and silver ore is also nice. I like it because it has doors and I use doors a lot. Personally, I think its the best of the new Castle line. Its also an exclusive, which means it will likely be difficult to obtain if you miss it now. Steve
  20. This one is for the festival/celebration category of the CCCV. Every year, crowds of people gather in Gloucester to chase a wheel of cheese rolling down a hill: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...oll/cheese1.jpg The whole cheesey gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=288112 Steve
  21. This MOC is for the Trade/Industry category (though it could easily fit in agriculture too) of the CCCV. The winery workers gather and crush grapes to make delicious wines: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...y/vineyard1.jpg The whole intoxicating gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=288113 Steve
  22. This MOC is my entry for the historic event category in the CCCV. Henry the Eighth has, a man for all seasons, Sir Thomas More (a patron saint of attorneys) on charges of treason, in 1535: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/CC...thomasmore1.jpg The whole martyred gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=288109 More on More: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_More Steve
  23. Castle Siege and Dwarf Mine. You'll get all the Castle stuff except for the Wizard and Princess. Steve
  24. Hillarious! Steve
